I have been using Figma Make to design my portfolio which was going great. Things I got done - Created a homepage Added Interactions Defined a visual design language As I am proceeding to drilled down pages further, I have noticed a few things : The images that were added previously are deleted / replaced by new ones - despite specific instructions to not do it. Slow speed : I also noticed that the typing speed of prompts slowed down as I proceeded further - cross-checked if it was a computer issue (which it wasn’t) It’s forgetting things! with every prompt & design updates, it’s now deleting the previous content + pictures :( all the hard work seems to be going in vain and I’m not afraid to touch the project in fear of disrupting the progress so far Can someone help me? Also, what’s the memory capacity of Figma Make? I noticed it was using Calude Sonnet so, assumed it should have been good. Am I missing something here?
Hi all. I’m new to Figma and currently working on a project where I’m generating cards using text pulled from a Google Sheet via a plugin like Google Sheets Sync. The sync is working fine. Each card is receiving the correct text from the sheet. However, I’d like to go a step further and apply specific font colors to certain words or patterns within the text. Here is the data in sheets: Here’s a screenshot of the cards in Figma: The 2 cards in the frame are populating with the text correctly. However I would like the font to have certain colors based on certain keywords. For example, In Line 1: “Some” and “line” should be red, everything else in line 1 should be white. In Line 2: “Some” should be red, anything text in bracket should be orange, etc. My Questions: Is this type of partial, inline text formatting (color changes) possible when using data from Google Sheets? Are there any beginner-friendly tips or best practices to achieve this? I’m hoping to avoid having to manually change t
Hello! I wrote here 10 months ago about my prototype not working when I share them with some colleagues because the variables just don’t work at all. I tried again today with a new prototype and still have the same issue. It works perfectly fine on my computer, variables are set, used, changed, all good. But when my colleague opens the prototype on her computer, it’s as if the variables didn’t exist at all. (tried in browser and the desktop app) This is really a pain when you spend time creating a nice proto that no-one can use… Has anyone run into this or better yet, found a solution? Thanks!
Skipped slides in Figma Slides are still visible on the iOS app, is that the intended behaviour?
I’m getting the following error- We can't open this file because we're having trouble with WebGL. Please try restarting the desktop app. If this problem persists, your graphics card or driver may not be supported. This happened after updating Figma. It works perfectly on different browsers but the desktop app isn’t working. Are there any fixes for this?
I've been experimenting with the new Figma Make feature and noticed a recurring issue that's affecting usability: After about 8–10 successful prompts (each 1–2 lines long), Figma Make starts rejecting any further prompt with the message: "Try again, with fewer inputs." This happens even when the prompts are extremely short, e.g., "Create a dark-themed button component" or "Add a CTA section with three buttons." I’ve tested this across multiple projects and browsers. The issue persists consistently, and the only workaround seems to be refreshing the tab, which sometimes helps temporarily — but not always. Additional Context: Even though Figma Make is currently laggy while generating prototypes (which I can overlook), this input rejection bug makes it difficult to iterate quickly or finish design ideas. It feels like a silent rate-limit or session exhaustion issue that’s not clearly communicated to the user.
A frame below the fold with mouse enter trigger not respecting the preserve scroll position functionality. My main top level frames are named identically. Just about every frame, header and nav have auto layouts so I don’t know if that is causing the issue but I don’t see why it would. This is making my scroll to top button difficult to use and a dynamic header that goes away on scroll down and quickly comes back on scroll up before getting to the top of the page impossible.
Hello! I was wondering if I could request a more efficient rendering method for images in the canvas. I have noticed that when my file contains a large amount of any or a lesser number of high resolution images that performance of the file/canvas degrades significantly, sometimes debilitatingly so. I suspect that this is because the rendering engine is doing a couple things: Treating every instance of an image to be unique in terms of memory utilization (the more I add of a single image = more performance decrease) Rendering every image at 100% resolution despite the canvas zoom level or image size So I’m wondering if there are any plans for increasing efficiency of images/rasterized content for the canvas, this is pretty limiting right now in terms of my workflow and things are reallllly slow even though I have around 5 images that I reuse in my files. I’d really love a better raster image rendering method :)
Hi Figma Team, I'm using a Professional plan and I'm logged in, but when I generate a design using Figma Make (AI), I don’t see the "Open in Design" or "Continue in Design" button after the layout is generated. All I can do is view the generated frame, regenerate, or refine it – but there’s no option to transfer it into a design file. I’ve tried refreshing, using different browsers, and checking my workspace, but the button is still missing. Is this feature not yet available on my account or in my region? How can I transfer AI-generated layouts from Figma Make into a design file for editing? Thanks in advance for your help! Best regards,Magda
Hello! Is anyone else having an issue right now with figma forcing login or sign up from a prototype link? It is set so “Anyone with the password” can view it. I’ve not run into this before.
I have been using the Copy Properties shortcut for years, but it suddenly stopped working in the past few weeks. I can still right-click to select ‘Copy Properties’ and use the keyboard shortcut to paste properties. Is this a bug after the updates?
This is what's happening: 1. When I try to copy and paste from the browser to the Figma Windows app, the function does not work at all. 2. When I try to copy and paste inside a figma file using the Windows app, the function still does not work. The shortcut and right-click options do not work for copying and pasting. I've had this problem since yesterday. I am using the most recent figma update for the figma windows app, and I checked the browser clipboard option, which does not help me. Please help me resolve this issue as soon as possible. It's very annoying and makes it difficult to use the app.
