I think it would be great if Figma added the functionality to assign specific colors to specific “Preferred values” instance swaps. Often, we’re able to get away with a singular default color. But when we’re using instance swaps for different icons like Success, Error, Cancellation, and Information – different icons require different colors.
Would others like this feature added too?
When you change the instance, it should preserve all the values held in the main component. Are your main components the same color, or different? If you want the main components to all be the same color, but you want a different color for them in certain situations, you can use variants.
Others are asking for the same thing I’m asking for.
