I’m trying to understand the process of sharing a Figma project file with another agency that I’m collaborating with. I’m a sole designer, working on my own professional plan. I don’t want to incur additional editing fees for someone needing to edit or work on my file. So, I want to understand how I can allow someone else the ability to edit or utilize my design without incurring additional costs to me personally. Is there no ability for someone outside of my plan who has a paid subscription of their own the ability to edit or use my project file without adding them to my account? How does someone go about sharing a project file without incurring costs personally?
I’m trying to use Figma MCP But keeps getting server error 500 when using get_image
This is an enormous issue as issues are creeping into client-facing designs. Figma has always been reliable as an atomic design tool, but overrides are resetting when I copy and page components within the same page or to new pages and I can’t catch all of them. This never used to happen, and it’s fundamental that it works. Our workflow has been developed utilising Figma’s capability as a design tool. That capability now seem unreliable, and it’s throwing my design team through a loop and clients are noticing. It’s been prevalent for about 4 months and goes unfixed while gimmicks like custom cursors get added and removed each week. This is something we have noticed across out whole team, whether on mac or Windows.
Hi, I have a question about how gradients work in Figma. When I use a Fill with a Gradient, what is the difference between using Flatten and Union? This is what I understand: -Flatten: If I select multiple shapes and use Flatten, they become one single shape. Then, the gradient is smooth across the whole shape. -Union: If I use Union, it looks like one shape, but inside, each part is still separate. So the gradient is applied to each shape individually, and the direction can look different for each part. Is this correct? I want to know how Figma really handles this in the background. Thanks.
the drop shadow on my elements are very boxy and glitchy. it is creating an issue. Whenever I zoom, the dropshadows gets weird and boxy and when i export, they get exported in the same way like this
When having to force line breaks on centre aligned copy, is it possible to ignore the space character, Currently the centring takes the space into account which make the text appear not centred. There might be a scenario where people want space characters to be taken into account (although I have never come across that in the last 20 years in the industry.) So if you want to keep the current behaviour, maybe we can have a option to turn it off in the paragraph setting? With forced line break without forced lined break, space character gets ignored
A few months ago you released the feature to hold option to click and drag to tweak numbers in the color panel etc...This doesn’t work any more and the regular click + drag feature in the places where it’s always been possible seems a little flaky aswell. Edit: It was #19 in the little big updates from H2 2023.
When exporting a session to PNG, the session title is rendered incorrectly if it contains Chinese characters. The characters are either missing or not displayed at all. Steps to Reproduce: Create a session with a title that includes Chinese characters (e.g., 會議紀錄) Export the session as a PNG Observe the exported image
Firstly great job Figma Font variables are here!!! Figma tutorial: Variables for typography The only thing missing is the use of percentages in the line-height property. You can not use a percentage in the line-height as it only accepts variables that are a number type. Although the variables for line-height caters for pixel (absolute) line-heights (10,12,14)- it does not accommodate relative line heights. In other words you can’t use percentage variables for line heights that are a percentage of the font size (100%, 120%,150%). Interestingly …You can use a variable for letter-spacing ( which accepts a number variable - but reads it as a percentage) - the challenge remains that line heights by default are absolute not percentages - even though you can input a percentage. Percentages allow greater flexibility and less calculations Word around would be to allow formula in a variable e.g. =[variable] * 1.5 Or figuring out a way for the line height to be toggle between absolute or relative
I’m currently building a website using Figma Site, and I’m trying to make a button redirect to an external URL (e.g., https://google.com). I’ve set the link properly in the button settings, but when I preview or publish the site, clicking the button does nothing Has anyone experienced this? Is there something I might be missing, or is this a bug/limitation of Figma Site? Would really appreciate any insights or solutions. Thanks!
Hey there! I just published my website using Figma Sites. I connected the right domain and I had no issues with that. The problem is that the website takes forever to load in any screen, and when it comes to mobile it just doesn’t fully load. Even when I try to change my desktop windows sizes, the website crashes all the time. Is that because I published recently, and must wait for it to “settle”? Or did I do something wrong? Here’s my website: www.deborahavila.com I appreciate immensely any help!
THe issue seems to apply when i’m attaching either an image or a Figma component. Button to “send” the prompt is disabled. Removing the attached image or component makes the button functional again.
