Hi there, quite new to Figma and have a question. Why is there a paragraph indent/empty space/tab before text in textbox? How to eliminate?
Since there is no dropdown or extended view of Type, or Typography in the newest update I do not find any options to set paragraph indent. But my biggest problem right now is that it seams to be set in advance, and I don’t know what this empty space exactliy is and can’t seem to get rid of it.
That looks like there might be a space or tab at the start of the text itself. Try double-clicking into the text box and checking if there’s a manual space or tab before the first word. Also, make sure text alignment is set to “left” and that there's no extra padding or invisible character messing things up. Figma doesn’t have paragraph indents like in word processors, so it’s usually something manual or styling-related.
I already tryed deleting, but it’s not possible to double-click the space itself. No space, no tab, text is left aligned. I’ve created the text as new. Than I needed another one - the same issue.
I tried using paragraph indent but I can't find the feature on figma. Has it been removed from type setting?

You can still apply paragraph indent. From the Typography section of your Design tab, locate the toggle icon to open Type settings. Switch to the Details tab, and you’ll see a section for Indentation.
