Some floating window panels in Figma are too small. For example, the color panel. I've created some color variables, but every time I want to select a color, I have to use the scroll bar to find a specific one. It's really exhausting because selecting colors is a frequently performed operation. Why can't we increase the height of these floating windows?
Seems like auto-layout in Slides is missing the ability to set a child element height / width to “fill” - am I missing something?
Description: I am experiencing an issue with the Figma Plugin API when trying to assign variable references to node fills and strokes. Despite using a minimal file with supported node types (e.g., a simple rectangle), the plugin code fails with the error: "Node is not extensible; skipping variable linking for fills." and similarly for strokes. This error is triggered even though the node is not locked, is not a component, and variable linking is enabled in my file and account (I am on a Pro plan). Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create a new Figma file and insert a basic shape (e.g., a rectangle). 2. Define a local color style for a solid fill and create a local color variable in a variable collection with at least one mode (e.g., Light mode). 3. Write a minimal plugin that: • Retrieves the local paint styles and color variables using the async APIs (e.g., getLocalPaintStylesAsync and getLocalVariablesAsync). • Attempts to assign the variable reference by setting the fillVariableId (or strokeVa
The TextNode (https://www.figma.com/plugin-docs/api/TextNode/) has a whole range of getters and setters like setRangeFontSize and getRangeFont size, but there is no setter that corresponds with getRangeFontWeight(). This would be a useful one for me, just curious if it’s on the backlog. Thanks!
I am experiencing difficulties with my bill payment this month despite my payment method remaining unchanged. The system returns an error message stating, 'Your card has been declined,' even when using the same card. I have also attempted to make the payment with four other cards, but I continue to encounter the same issue. Could you please advise on how I can resolve this matter and successfully complete the payment?"
Is there anyway to avoid "You are now leaving figma.com" this message, Can anyone help me?
Dear Figma Team, After updating to the latest software version, I’ve encountered a critical bug that severely impacts workflow. The issue is as follows: When using a master component containing multiple nested elements (including many sub-components from other components with deep hierarchies), both the Figma desktop client and web version freeze completely upon copying, instancing, or duplicating this master component. All functionality becomes unresponsive for approximately 30-60 seconds until the operation completes. Additionally, editing this master component (e.g., modifying text/data, toggling element visibility) results in extreme lag and unresponsiveness. This issue significantly disrupts productivity, especially in complex design systems. Steps to reproduce: Create/use a master component with deeply nested sub-components. Copy/instance/edit the component. Observe UI freeze and lag. Requesting urgent prioritization for this performance regression. Thank you for your attention!

I have text styles defined inside a library file. All my components are using these styles. When creating the designs using the components and styles in another file I always make sure to use the text styles and if I paste text I use Shift + Cmd + V to esnure I’m pasting text without any formatting (verry annouing tho). Recently I was just going thorugh already done designs to check something and noticed that all the text layers in some of my pages are with the correct color variable, correct size and etc but they have no text style attached to them. Now I have to go layer by layer, copy the text, click Reset all changes (if it is a component) and paste the text. This is rediculous. So few questions: Is there any way to make the default pasting of text be without any format? Is there any bug that caused this dettachment? Is there any way I can only reset the style of the text layer inside component instance and not the text color and etc?
I am new to web development, i’d like boost my knowledge on Figma.efficently
