Hello, everybody!
Figma somehow created 3000 empty rectangles. Some are grouped even, which causes weird thing when I copy or move some parts. But also I just cant’ understand when and how 3000 empty rectangles were created and haw to delete them manually. Any ideas what is it?

Hey Kseniya, welcome to the community!

That sounds frustrating! I'm not sure how this happened, but here are some workarounds you can try to remove those empty rectangles and clean up your file:

  • If the issue just happened, try pressing Cmd + Z / Ctrl + Z multiple times to undo.
  • You can check your Version History to see if you can restore a previous version before the duplicates were created. More details in this article on how to view a file’s version history.

  • I also found a plugin that might help remove unnecessary assets: Cleaner. Feel free to explore other plugins in the Community as well!

Hope this helps!
