Component instance not updating

Question

Hi,
I know it has been asked several times but the answered provided don’t fix my problem…

I have a main icon component (Search) and I use an instance of it in my prototype. When I change the color of the main component, the instance does not get updated: would you know why?
Thanks a lot for your help. To reproduce, use this Figma: https://www.figma.com/file/v26f5Ufh6Mo9MkVBQps3LY/Spotify-figma-mobile-app and try to update an icon (Icons & Images), you will see the instances are not updated (Prototype & Layout).

This came up while using a Team Library shared with the file I was working on. Did some changes on the said component (“Link”) but the updates won’t push through for some reason. The notification persists, even though I click on the “Update all” button. 
This issue also creates problems with other components that have the “Link” component nested inside them. 
Wonder how I can troubleshoot this. 
Note: Other components from the Team Library update and work…

the 3. one was my issue. These components included subcomponents that had a . and apparently this clashed with the changes in the master component. 
I removed the . and now it works. Kinda unfortunate, since now the subcomponents get exported as well, but at least it works…
