this is how you can made it
I am one of those who find that multiplayer cursors shatter my ability to concentrate. I also like to turn off comments so I can SEE the designs. I turn both off, but do not appreciate that when I return to Figma, you have turned both back on. I am used to thinking that it is a bad user experience to go against a user’s wishes in order to push a company’s agenda and to be clear, in this case you have openly decided that you do NOT want to provide the best user experience. This certainly does not endear Figma to me and it leaves me with a poor impression of your product and leadership.
It still happens to me after 2+ years of daily usage that elements are not added to a section or frame when moved or copied. They are visually “on” the frame or section, but technically not.
It’s often difficult to summarise what work is being done within a branch in a branch name that doesn’t truncate. Therefore, it would be great to have a branch description field where you can provide more detail on what the branch is for.
Hi, there is probably a feature request related to this topic → Prototype arrow key navigation As mentioned in docs, there are two types of Prototype Preview: With starting point Without starting point The problem is, that sometimes I want to present the design like a prototype (with a starting point) and sometimes without → Navigate between scenes with the arrow keys [<-] [->] to spot the difference, etc. Now you have to delete all prototype flows to navigate between screens with arrow keys which is really time consuming, especially when you have a lot of prototype connections. Proposal Add a new option to the Preview settings: Use arrow keys for navigation Which Will be disabled, when prototype has no starting point. May be enabled, when prototype has starting point Another option is to have it enabled depending from which panel the user run the Preview: Design → let’s use the arrows keys for screen navigation Prototype → let’s use the arrow keys for history navigation
I’m making some pretty complex and heavy presentations to document projects and right now I’m making them in Figma using an interactive component that serves as a menu to allow navigation and jumping to a specific “slide”. I think it could be an interesting feature of Figma Slides to have the option to toggle a menu when in presentation mode so you can navigate to specific slides. For instance you could navigate to the “title slides” when you create slide groups a bit like how Notion or Google doc automatically create a side nav on long documents. Of course it should be an option to toggle as it might not be always needed. Here’s the example from Notion:
Hi there! We really need a tagging feature for sticky notes. It’s a game-changer and helps user research teams categorize and manage notes by themes or topics with ease. What would make tags even more powerful toward collaboration is if they were searchable and filterable. You should also be able to pull and group notes under their tag name. That feature would help to streamline post-interview data management, which applied easily to any type of project, from personas to journey maps and affinity diagrams. This is already a feature that Miro supports natively already and it is a shame that FigJam is being left behind on a feature such as that.
scaling does not work in slides If i copy over a ton of layers from Figma to Figma slides and scale them it completely breaks everything. Scaling should work same as it does in Figma
Is there any plugin can do this or can Figma develop this kind of function?I really need this while I doing UI design cause I often group each function by section.
Right now I’m combining different GIFs in a modular way to create instructions for processes. It would be nice that once you change variant by interaction (in this case delay), the next GIF would start from the beginning, even when it has been changing states for a while.
It would be really nice to build a gradient variable tool where you can set amount of colors and stop position as well as angle vs just being able to apply a standard color variable to a gradient stop. This new feature seems half baked.
There is something cathartic perhaps about crumpling up paper containing your notes and ideas, and throwing them into a bin. Perhaps you were writing down everything on your mind that moment, and then crumple up the pages to create the clear slate. Perhaps it is taking all those ideas that won’t work, and throwing them out to clear more space, on the page or in your head. Imagine a feature where a user might crumple up one of their boards or frames, and just thrown it out to clear space or wipe the slate clean. Perhaps a delightful paper crumple animation plays. Maybe you see the board fly through the air into some bin to make a satisfying whoosh – mini-games aside. Simple put, it could be a way to clear your ideas (good or bad) out of our workspace (visually and mentally). Not gone forever. Perhaps still in the bin if you want to take them out and “unfold” them. To me, that sounds like something would be fun and useful to do as a designer, or anyone for that matter.
Is there any way to change the language for the live interaction widgets? I can edit the title of the alignment type for instance, but not the “strongly disaggree - neutral - strongly agree” texts. Would love to be able to edit those to my language if possible.
i want to recive the new ui: Figma interface to start using it in my projects
Variables are great and I’ve started using them a lot as I develop a new typescale for my design system, however accessing them in the “Type” properties panel is a pain in the butt. There are several different experiences across the various properties: Font: Variable is selectable at the top of the list Weight: Variable is selectable at the bottom of the list Size: Variable is selectable at the bottom of the list Line height, letter spacing, paragraph spacing: Variable selection icon appears on hover, in the input field. Why on earth am I forced to scroll past allllll the font weights and preset type sizes to access my variables? They should be easiest to access (top of list or on hover) and the experience should be the same regardless of the property.
Please allow importing of common file types such as: .pdf, svg, Would be also great if .svg files could be recoloured in figjam.
I would love to hear how others handle clear version labeling and fidelity leveling in their Figma screens / components. I’d wondered whether it would make sense to have any property types that could be automatically applied to components, configured at the file or organization level. Whether these are fully open ended, or perhaps more realistically ‘tied’ to concepts like “Version” or “Fidelity,” this has been something we have done manually ourselves to track our components. Example “Fidelity Type” Property values: Low, Medium, High We have found ourselves sometimes turning low fidelity screens into components to explore layouts, or even just to have a lower fidelity option to share out (thanks luminosity!) even as we are working on medium or high fidelity concepts. At times this has meant taking an existing component and adding a “Fidelity” property to start tinkering splitting out the next phase of iteration even if some project screens still live in low fidelity land. Whatever you
Figma should make the mockups in the prototypes downloadable. it will save alot of trouble trying to find our own mockups
Hi, is there a Figma plugin allowing to merge color styles with the same name and/or merging styles from a list like the Sketch plugin “Merge Duplicates”? It allows you to select which styles you want to merge (from the whole list of styles within the file) and merge them, even if they have different names. The style you decided to keep applied to all layers (and overrides) using the discarded styles, and the discarded styles removed.
We need a default page background option to reflect and respect the user’s theme automatically. When I’m using Dark Mode and no specific page background color is set, it should default to #1E1E1E, while for someone using Light Mode the page background should be #F5F5F5. I imagine something like a simple toggle “Use background color based on theme“ or something like this, as the default, with the option to set a custom background color that becomes the background color for everyone.
As the title said, Allow us to download all files in the project in one bulk. It’s been in pain downloading file one by one (download as a local copy) as I get laid off from my company. If there’s a download-all, would be better than having to click each of the projects and download them manually one by one.
Describe the problem your experiencing and how your idea helps solve this I got a few reports that text function works weirdly when typing Korean these days. (the video below was taken a week ago, and I still have the same issue) it gets better after rebooting Figma completely, but it is not the best solution. Korean people are having the same issue these days, here’s a reference from Korean community;facebook.com Add as much context as possible (screenshots, Figma files, mockups, etc.) Ask questions to bring the community into the conversation (e.g. Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?, etc. Is there any way I can solve this problem as a user? Or is Figma team already working on this bug? Thanks in advance 🙂
Why can’t I click on the text and simply show me how to adjust the font size?!
Hey Folks, Why have you removed the “Paste to Replace” function from the right-click menu?
