Using `CMD` and `+ or -` to zoom is too simplistic: it jumps from 50% to 100%. Often, 50% is too zoomed out, 100% too zoomed in. What about 75%?What is the keyboard shortcut to zoom to selected item (as when you double-click a layer)? “Zoom to fit” is for everything, not what I mean.Wacom tablets have a meaningful zoom using the wheel, which helps but it would be better as a keyboard shortcut.
Another QOL Ability to clip content on slides (or even just on export) so that the content outside the slide is not in the pdf
When restoring a component, it should merge more seamlessly with the system. There should be an option to retain or discard modifications made to the original component. This is because sometimes I integrate a component more deeply into the system while still needing to keep certain text and details unique to each page.
It bothers my OCD to no end that the first item pasted into a page is not given the coordinates of x:0 y:0
I would love more spelling functionality. Currently, I need to select text to see spelling mistakes. It would be great if Figma would notify me of spelling errors by a search or a little pop up/count.
Hello! We’re using quite a lot the underline styling for text in our interface designs, and copying text properties do not also copy the underline decoration details, like Thickness and Offset.Would it be possible to define a reusable style for underline decoration to keep things consistent and efficient? Many thanks!
A component’s playground dialog, only accessible via traversing through Figma’s UI.Allow sharing a direct link to a component playground, not unlike how you can share Storybook links such as this. The job to be done is to spare devs (or anybody, really) the drudgery of schlepping through Figma’s UI just so they can see how a component was designed to work. Not sure if this functionality already exists, I couldn’t find any documentation for it.
I’m currently working on a product for a client where I need to display CO₂ data. Unfortunately, it’s a significant issue not being able to present the data correctly, as Figma’s settings for font styles don’t support subscript for the "2."It would be fantastic if you could allow this adjustment in the styles to ensure accurate data representation. As it stands, right now I have to detach the font style to design so that the user understands the data.
Hi there, we’re currently running Figma in an enterprise license with 10 UX designers and about 20 developers in total. At the moment our annual costs are around $9000 for the full design seats. With the new dev mode pricing we would basically double our annual costs for some basic features a good design tool should offer out of the box. Our devs don’t need fancy “Customize code output” or “Sync design files with their codebase”. They simply want to see all our variables in an easy manageable way, navigate and inspect frames and components ready for dev and maybe track some design changes. Paying almost 9k additionally just for these basic features is insane, especially since our UX designers that have access to the dev mode basically don’t need it. Also there are basic features missing like exporting dedicated handoff collections of components, frames or flows. It would be cool to be able to get a free dev mode seat to every design seat and be able to apply this seat to anyone in the
一度アルファベット(半角英数字)入力モードで適当に文字を打ってから(例:aaa) ひらがな入力モードに戻してテキストを打つと解消されました
It would be great If I can group pages in so That I can open few pages and close rest of them.I use spae as indents for now
Prototyping a circle progress ring based on variable set would allow for significantly simpler and native prototyping and managment. RN I have a progress ring component with 25+ variants progressing based on a Day variable that then does a Change To to transition to the right one, but this is cumbersome to maintain as each variant requires all the conditional logic to possibly switch to any other given variant. If I could apply a variable to the Sweep then I could then progress the Sweep variable in relation to the Day variable on just 1 Ellipse, and manage only 1 set of conditionals applied to it.
In the province of Quebec in Canada, companies in design and IT like the one I’m working for are starting to being notified by the French regulation office of the governement of the province of Quebec to provide employees with softwares offering a french interface. This is not optional, this is becoming more and more mandatory in the province. I’d like to continue using Figma and Adobe XD but since none of those two options are offering french interface, we have to start looking for other platform offering french. So far I’ve only found two other platforms but they don’t offer as much flexibility as your platform. Any chance you could come up with a french interface for your platform so we wouldn’t have to change the platform?
It would be nice to have a keyboard shortcut to toggle between the stroke/no stroke and fill/no-fill states on a shape. It’s easy to do in Sketch but couldn’t find if it’s possible in Figma.
I always need to shadow text that is bigger than the frame, the only way to do this, is when i move it in mask, but i always have to change mask size to the changed instance text, but i cant, because size cant be changed in instance. Please made autolayout for mask
Hi there!By that i mean change it from left to right and right to left for rows, and top to bottom and bottom to top for columns. For example it would be helpfull for components with icon+text like buttons. Instead of making variants with icon on the left and icon on the right we can just apply property attached to auto-layout direction.
As I designer, I’m pitching to my company about the benefits of using Figma Slides instead of PPT. I created layouts with column breakdowns so folks can easily snap elements to pre-set 2 col, 3 col, 4 col. But when I turned off design mode, I realize non-designers don’t have access to this. They don’t have access to X,Y coordinates or width/height adjusters so it doesn’t seem to solve the problem of non-designers creating misaligned slides, unless I build out a bunch of components to block them from making mistakes.
I really love clip content, it keeps everything inside the frame. But sometimes I want some elements to be outside the frame eg: Menus. So what I do is disable clip content in the frame. but the issue is that right now every element will be outside the frame not just the menu (as shown in the pic)So If there’s a way to this it will be so helpful as I wanted this for long time!
I am new to Figma. I am using the app version. I suggest the following changes to the Actions drop down menu. The reason is there is a disconnect between the browser version of this menu and the app. In the browser is has the Back to Files option. In the app it doesn’t, however there is a little Home icon. It’s ironic that in an application such as Figma something like this seems to be overlooked, and the solution is quite simple. Simply add the Home icon next to the Back to Files text in the browser version. That little image would connect the two versions and increase the user experience. See attachment. What say ye?
Hello! I’ve made plugins for Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD, Sketch, and now Figma. Figma has by far been the nicest developer experience, so thank you for that! Honestly the whole experience has been smooth except at one point — bundling. Specifically, I had to use some webpack plugins to work around a few syntax error issues that came from dependencies that were compiled for es6, which don’t go through TypeScript and don’t normally get transpiled by Webpack. I realize this is a bit of a toolchain specific request, but since y’all have focused the bundling doc on Webpack and es6/esm modules are only becoming more common, I would have expected at least a callout or something that some extra work might be required. I think it’d be nice for future new plugin devs to have a bit of a heads up that some special considerations may be necessary when using dependencies. Hopefully this is useful. Thanks again for the otherwise excellent DX!

First I want to mention how much I love actions, great addition to Figma, thanks!I’ve come across something that bugs me. There’s an action to “Publish changes to library”, but there is no action for “Review library updates” or “Update libraries”. It’s a frustrating UX flow to publish changes using the keyboard, navigate to the project that needs the changes using the keyboard, and then having to use a cursor to update the libraries 😖
Minor issue in Figma Slides: If you set all the slides to animate (e.g. dissolve), then this layout: [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] works as expected. Changing slides dissolves the view between all of them. But, if you hide a slide (using “Skip slide” option): [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] [ 4 ] [ 5 ] then the animation works between 1-2 and 4-5, but there’s no animation between 2-4. The skipped slide causes the transition to be instant - no dissolve, no push, nothing.
Describe the problem your experiencing and how your idea helps solve this When I export out PDFs and attach them to emails for review for stakeholders who either are not in Figma or just prefer to review and leave notes via PDF mockups, I always have to find a PDF compression solution that can shrink down the sizes. In addition to PDF compression, sometimes merging multiple files into a single document is something that I wish Figma gave some options for when exporting. Add as much context as possible (screenshots, Figma files, mockups, etc.) PDFs exported when they contain some kind of image seem to be quite large, maybe because the whole image is intact and it isn’t cropped down. Or just the quality is retained as close as possible to the Figma quality. Ask questions to bring the community into the conversation (e.g. Does anyone else experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?, etc. I’m not aware of any community plugin that solves this. Are ther
tldr; Please add improved user management features which allow quick access to a list of all users who have access to any team file, regardless of how that access is granted, along with the ability to remove or edit that access. This list should include users who show up in the share list of a file with the ‘anyone with a link’ permission selected. Please also add a view which shows all files, across all projects, and their link sharing setting. In addition the list should include the ability to edit those share settings one by one and in bulk via multi-select. the details; It is currently very difficult to audit what files or projects a given user has access to or to see all of the users who have access to your files. Similarly there is no way to view what the sharing settings (anyone with link, only invited people, ect) are for your files without individually viewing each one. I reached out to support to ensure that I wasn’t missing something but they confirmed my fears and asked m
