i am suggesting to allow us to select multiple components from the stage and publish all or selected, beside the option to create variantscoz after some updates and modifications, publishing from the library window becomes a challenge. some updates i don’t want to publish. sometimes it’s hard to follow the naming as well. and i believe as designers, visually it is easier for us, since we know where and which components we want to publish on the stage. i see this very similar to the new create component update in the new UI. you are allowing us to select multiple frames and select if we want to create a single component or multiple ones at once. to visualize, maybe something like this. and of course there is the publish changes option, which could follow the same approach, or a drop down like the component creation. anyway, the main idea is selecting from the stage to publish. does that make sense?
为什么不中文?我真的很想用它
Hello!Gamedev designers have been adopting Figma more and more into our workflow, and we would love more controller support for better prototyping and navigation options. Some examples:Better joystick radial support. We currently only have up/down/left/right stick movement, but to prototype menus like weapon wheels and radial selections we need more precise input. Hold button + long press button options for D-pad, face buttons and shoulder buttons. Support for swipe gestures on the PS5’s touchpad. To do any of the above we currently need to jump through hoops and map controller inputs to keyboard buttons through 3rd party software, which is not great and doesnt work for many of the above options. If the community has more suggestions, please leave a comment below 🙏 Thank you!
In the design tab, you have a panel of created property options shown at the very top, and in full size, and often when you need to change an instance, you need to scroll first one panel, then another, and they can have a lot of content, which makes navigation through the design tab very long and not intuitive, to simplify the task, create the ability to show part of the parameters for each panel, with the ability to expand it by hovering
Prototyping triggers won’t allow to bind an action to diagonal moves of the stick. Both LStick and Rstick. Tried to prototype a command wheel. Segments should be triggered by eight corresponding directions of stick movement. But only four of them was possible: up, down, left and right. Does anyone else in the game industry experience this? Is anyone using a plugin or workaround to help solve this?
Hello, Someone already posted this, but i was too late to see it, so im posting again. I have a very similar issue. For my part I find it almost impossible to see where a comment should have been if you’ve already moved things around and of course simply Showing Version History doesn’t include comments even if they were present in those versions. I’ve had to rely on context clues and directly asking the commenter for clarity when this happens. Below in quotes was the original poster’s issue “Would the Figma Team please show comments in the SHOW VERSION HISTORY? Right now, I look at comments in the current version, inspect the SHOW VERSION HISTORY, and take a screenshot to see where an orphaned comment should go. And I will look at the comments and the versions because I want to see the state of the wireframes on that date. Thanks for the consideration!”
I’ve been switching back to UI2 just because of the toolbox being on the top left. I cannot get used to having 2 docks on my screen as it just looks weird. If possible, just make the toolbox draggable so I can move it up there or just add a setting for it.
Why is this not possible?
Now there is no way to create a wrap for layers of different proportions, it breaks, it works only for layers of equal size vertically, make it so that it is possible to create a wrap also vertically, because for the wrap you also do not work negative values for layers that are located one under the other in the wrap container, this would allow you to create a dynamic grid relative to layers of different proportions in the layout
Because I use slides modularly, sometimes I have several presentations that start with the same slide. However, on my thumbnails, I want to be able to see which presentation the file is for by selecting a different slide on the deck as my thumbnail
Please activate the rulers/guide function for Slides!! I’ve been struggling to align context across multiple pages.
Thank you for the new feature but would be awesome to have the freedom to change the orientation of the mind map. My mind really works in more vertical space in that sense and would help me a lot 🙏
Annotations are a great idea, but I think it would be beneficial to allow them to be added without being in dev mode. When something is marked for dev its already a finalised design. Adding annotations before marking as dev mode would save time and allow annotations to be added as we go along.
How cool would it be if Figma allows for deep-linking in prototypes!Right now when I try to deep-link to, for example, Spotify, in my prototype it will prefix the `spotify://xxxxxx` with `https://` so the deep-link is broken and navigates me to a webpage that does not exist.Allowing this would extend the possibilities of prototypes to interact with the outside world! E.g. Microsoft Teams → `msteams://`, Instagram → `instagram://`, slack → `slack://` and many more.I can see how this might be a security concern, but in theory I can put any bad link in there if it starts with `https://`
Hello, there is no Russian language in the settings.
I love how 1st April gave to us. Indeed.I am now harder to keep concentrating on my work due to using too much technology. So if we can solve this problem then we should make something to keep us working,,,with fun!!Basic - Just a plugin to collect the distance of my mouse movement on Figma. it is about 4px = 1 cm if I am correct. If I keep working hard...I want to know how far I travel to this long journey.Advance.. I need game that I can choose what to build and if the screen is active for 8 hours, the thing I want to build will be done. and I can put it on my hall of fame which other people can see. I need progress animation along 8 hrs. So now the more I use figma...The stuffs I can build haha.Is this look fun???
It’d be great to be able to auto-play and loop a Figma Slides presentation.
Hi. There are about 30 people on my team using Figma, and about 10 marketers and product managers with editor privileges. Since editors other than designers are not accustomed to working with Figma, they double-click when selecting a page in Figma and change the name of the page without knowing it. This operation causes the page name to revert back to something like “Page1” many times (without even he himself realizing that he has changed it). Another person tries to change it back, but sometimes it is very problematic because it can be reverted to the wrong name. To prevent this, I would like Figma to consider making it an option to double click to change the page name. Since page names are not changed very often, I think it is sufficient to be able to rename them from right-click.
From time to time we use Figma to create high-fidelity animations, eliminating the need for additional hand-off tools or specs. This is nice, but viewing animations within Figma is difficult when it’s about quick microinteractions or I want to figure out what’s going on wrong. A sort of debugging possibility. Specifically for Devs.If you remember Principle, it had a very useful feature where if you held ⇧ Shift while viewing a transition/animation, it would slow down that animation by ~10×. Only while holding, not as a state change.Would be great to get this feature as well + the ability to change the slow down speed (additional keys / setting?) Cheers
I would love to be able to update an existing variable directly on the artboard similar to how pushing changes to a main component works. Often times I have a lot of artboards set with a big load of variables for all text in different languages. In these cases I might want to update a specific variable but it’s kind of a hassle to find it in the variables window. Just let me input a new value and push the change to the master variable or at least give me a shortcut to open the variables window with the selected variable in focus.
When looking at a component with nested components within, please can we look at showing the default of these nested components as closed in the component props panel on the right. The components start to look complex and overwhelming when left open as default.
When I have library updates available for my file, sometimes I just want to apply them to a specific page – not to the whole document. The Updates panel lets you select Current page, and as a result you only see which components of the current page have some update available. All good so far. Now if you want to review changes of a component rather than blindly click Update, you select the component in the list and end up in the second-level, Review updates panel. The trouble is: At this point the Current page filter is forgotten and you can only review all the instances of the document. How can I review one by one the instances of the current page only? Motivation: I would like to always review and update stuff on the local components page of my file, because if I update this first, a lot of updates will propagate automatically to the rest of the file, saving me a lot of work.
怎么菜单里面分组还不能删除了,越改越难用了
While prototyping in Figma, all connectors (nodes/links) are the same color, making it difficult to visually distinguish which frames are connected to each other. To improve clarity, consider adding an option for color-coded connectors or user-defined colors. This would allow users to assign different colors based on interaction types, flows, or personal preferences, making complex prototypes easier to understand and manage.
I happily created a variables collection for my existing dark mode and light mode color style palettes that I had in my Design System. The thing is, my app is primarily designed in dark mode, but I created the light mode variables first and now I’m stuck with having light mode as the default which is very frustrating. My only option seem to be do just delete and redo the ‘light mode mode’ which I’m not that keen on doing. I wish it was possible to just change the order of my color variable mode columns horizontally using drag and drop, just like how you change order of variant properties vertically.
