I need a way to change the order in which icons appear in the properties menu of the component instance. I use components for icons, and it would be nice if the icon names were sorted alphabetically, but instead they appear to be sorted by the order in which they were created. When there is a long list of icons, it makes it harder to find the icon you want.

This is obviously not necessary for most components because they rarely have this number of variants, but for things like icons… it would be a huge help.

hi hi @Luke_Keith - love the feedback on this. While I don’t work with a ton of components (for now, at least), I get how this would be helpful for more complex/detail work with variants.

I switched the category of this over to share feedbak so others can give a +1 if they are looking for something similar.

Having the same issue with an instance of always growing number of profile pictures of employees. Plugins like Sorter change the position in the instance, but in the properties menu the sort order is always by creation.

I missing this feature too. I have an enormous design library with icons and the sorting is different in the menu on many of them.

Definitely needed. I’m constantly publishing a component and then realising when I start using it that the variants are in a random order so I have to go back and spend forever correcting it manually
