FigJam seeems to only have these shortcuts: But these are a defined size, what if you want to increase or decrease to the size you want? Like maybe option + Command + > Miro has this, most other apps that have text input also have this (notepad, google sheets, etc…).
Does anyone know of a way to get hanging indents within one block of plain text? So that when a line of text goes beyond the right margin, it’s indented below rather than starting on the left margin again? Kind of like what you’d find on a works cited page of a paper, or in a line of poetry that runs past the margin. And for clarity, I am not talking about lists, bulletpoints, etc. – I am referring to plain/paragraph text
Hello! I ran into a problem that I could not find in your help. There is a Status Annotation plugin, it is very well for work’s control. I make a design for a client, and he’s could control the process with this plugin. But he’s a manager, not a designer. The client usually acts as a viewer, not an editor. This is done so that he cannot spoil anything in the design. But the viewers doesn’t have access to the plugin. Plugins can only be used by editors. Could you make plugins available for viewers? It will be so usefull. Thanks
Would it be possible for the pdf format to come out like Word, i.e. that the text is legible and doesn't come out like an image. This would improve accessibility and mean that cover letters and CVs could be read by ATS recruitment software.
The Pages toolbar, wherein you select which page is active, now has way too much space between pages. It’s plausible to click near a page, and get nowhere. In other words, the gutter spacing between rows is too large.
As demonstrated in the video, I am unable to use “select matching layer” within the same frame.
It would be really helpful if there were a way to view the creation date of a new project when it's first created in Figma.
Hello, I would like to propose a new feature that will reduce the work of interface design by half or more, and Figma is already almost there.Currently we have to make different size versions (desktop, tablet and mobile) so that developers can view them. With the variables mode I can edit the screen sizes just by changing the global variable, but my developers do not have this button available. It would be wonderful for everyone if this were possible.
If you have a component with many different variants, it would be good to have a warning before someone accidentally changes the content within the component rather than in the variants. This is inspired by the warning that happened when detaching an instance when you had FigPals.
I often have to use colors outside of Figma. At the moment, if those colors are variables, I have to detach it to select and copy the hex code and re-apply the variable.I think it would be a nice feature to be able to copy the color of that element without having to detach and re-attach the variable.
It will be good to have a feature to notify a content designer who intends to change a copy in an instance that it will be better if he/she makes the change directly in the component. It will be also good if this notification can take them to the component directly where they will need to make the copy change. This notification will prevent a lot of overrides that happens if multiple people work in the same file and have different skill sets, or are not aware of where the components are “buried” :)
I can’t seem to find a way to paste designs without copying over the annotations on elements. I don’t always want to duplicate the annotations, just the design.I think just adding a menu item or keyboard shortcut to “Paste without annotations” would make sense.
Hi everyone,I’d like to suggest improvements to how Prototype View works when using a second monitor in Figma.Currently, when you press Restart in the Prototype View, it often starts from a completely different frame instead of restarting the one you were viewing. There’s no easy way to return to your original frame. In addition, when trying to manually select a frame in the Prototype View sidebar, the frame you were working with is often missing, and random other frames are shown instead, without any clear logic. It’s also not possible to open and manage multiple Prototype Views at the same time on a second monitor — you can only have one, and switching requires closing and reopening the Prototype View manually. As a result, every time I need to go back to my original frame or open a different prototype, I have to completely close the Prototype View and set it up again on the second monitor. If this behavior is intentional, could someone explain how to work with it properly?Otherwise, I h
I find it’s a really long process to re-locate a file that belongs to another team once I’ve closed it. It appears under ‘Recents’ but that often isn't the most organised space to find things in. Please can we get a shared tab on the left sidebar, or bring the ability to pin/star files back?
Why would you have a hover state like this when selecting a color ? I am selecting the color not sampling it! This is the most idiotic design decision I have ever seen. Just as the user is about to make a selection you change the cursor ! Can we vote to get this removed asap ?
I would like to suggest to have a table or grid element ready to use inside Figma Design. It would be wonderful to be able to:- Drag rows or columns around to rearrange them (not only in FigJam)- Change cell types and styles (add or remove icons, selection mode, etc.)These tweaks would make such a difference in my day-to-day work! Thanks so much for all you do 😊🍀
We are a development shop that regularly hires external designers. We have to pay for each of them to access our Figma projects, even though they already have their own Figma subscriptions. It is frustrating and feels unnecessary, but it is not the main issue. The real problem is that we do not want external designers to have access to all of our projects. Creating a new team for each project would require us to pay for multiple licenses for our own developers and pay again for each external designer across every project. This level of overbilling is unacceptable to small dev shops. Is there a way to limit editor access to a single project within a team without requiring duplicate licensing fees?
Problem:Designing without a system can get messy fast. You waste time. You repeat work. Your app or website looks different on every page.Without a design system, your project feels slow and confusing.Agitate:Imagine this — you spend hours making a button look right. Then next week, someone else designs a button that looks different. Now the app looks broken.Or worse, the developers don't know what version to code.Everyone is frustrated. You lose time, money, and trust.Solution:Good news: You can fix this by building a simple design system in Figma.Figma makes it easy to create and share design rules with your whole team.Let’s walk through it step-by-step.Step 1: Know What You NeedBefore opening Figma, stop and think.Ask: Who is this design system for? What will it cover? (Website? Mobile app?) Will it need to grow later? A design system should include: Colors Fonts (text styles) Buttons, forms, cards Icons Rules on how to use everything Write down your plan first. This will he
So when searching for the file name on the add new file page. Can you also add the project name so you don’t open the wrong file? the contents of the search results should be quite the same when we search for files on the home page
Sometime a prototype, regardless of presentation (ctrl/cmd+alt+enter) mode or Preview mode (shift+space), doesn’t update. While in Presentation mode it requires to → Reload the page of the presentation:I notice something isn’t updated Move cursor to the window tab Reload tab While in Preview mode it requires to → Switch what page is selected from the left panel in order to trigger a forced reloaded prototype (figma logo + loading):I notice something isn’t updated Close prototype preview window Select a different page from the left panel → wait for it to load Select the original page that contains the Frame that I want to preview → wait to load Select the Frame → shift+space → Prototype loads in preview window (figma logo + loading bar) I’m asking to include a CTRL/CMD+R or Shift+R to force reload a prototype:I notice something isn’t updated Shift+R → Prototype loads in preview window (figma logo + loading bar)This saves me to close and swap pages which in a large file switching pages
Feature Request DescriptionPurposeEnable designers to tag every text element or component instance with two properties—“Content Type” (e.g., username, numeric ID, full name, long-form example) and “Language” (e.g., en, fr, ja). Figma AI will then generate realistic placeholder strings that match these declarations each time an element is duplicated or an override is reset.Key BenefitsRealism at Scale: Automatically populate design systems with varied, on-brand sample data, reducing manual editing. Component Integrity: Preserve text styling and layout by avoiding manual overrides that risk breaking auto-layout or typography settings. Localization Ready: Support global teams by generating sample text in the target language, improving internationalized design reviews. Workflow Efficiency: Minimize busywork—designers spend less time crafting dummy text and more time refining user experiences.Proposed UI & WorkflowIn the Properties panel, a collapsible “AI Sample Text” section beneath T
99% of the time I use the action button to search for assets in UI3 because I’ve gotten so used to doing this by selecting “Resources” button in the toolbar. In Resources tab I was able to:Open Resources → Type in the name of an Asset (1st asset was highlighted) → Click Enter I’d love to be able to have the same flow through the ‘Actions’ button. Because currently the search suggestions are pretty much useless most of the time. I now need to:Open Actions → Type in a name of an asset → click Assets tab → drag and drop the asset or double click to move it to canvas. I mean at least make it so that the first option would be “button” in assets and make it highlighted by default so I can click enter to go to assets tab and then select an asset from there:
I find it really strange you have to deselect any items to click the ‘local variables’ button. It should be available in the UI to be clicked no matter what else you have selected. Side note: the window is very hard to use when working on the canvas and I constantly have to move it around all over the place just to use it, but I’m sure you’ve received a lot of feedback on this already given how poor it is.
I haven't received Figma AI version so please give me this version because number of times i am facing number of issue so i want to Figma AI version
