Same as everyone here !
This feature is greatly needed to be able to work with people - developers or clients - who are not used to navigate in a complexe Figma file with tens or hundreds of frames.
We tried to integrate Figma with Jira, but every time it’s the same question from the developers : “I can see 50 different screens in the file, which one should I look ?”
As of today, our only solution is to export the frames on another app - Zeplin - and to integrate this export in Jira. Such a waste of time and energy.
Please, please, please, prioritize this simple-looking feature in your roadmap. You will receive a wave of love from designers all over the globe if you do so 😊
My number one issue with Figma. Not being able to hide pages. Dev mode does not solve this. Devs keep looking into designs that are not ready.This happens on every project. Two issues with that;
- Devs are spending time on designs that are not ready. Resulting in lots of irrelevant questions. Confusion. Time inefficiency.
- Very annoying to have dev hover around on design that are still under construction.
My current work around after presentation, I copy the pages to a new (unknown) document. Later transfer back.
As a designer I want to have a private space in a Figma doc even after having shared a first version with the team.
At the ConveyUX 2024 convention in Seattle last week, Jacob Miller said that they sometimes get ideas for features from social channels (i.e. redit, twitter(X), etc…). Please grab a link to this page and spread the word!!!
Please add this feature so we can stop using Zeplin
How has this feature been on the board for years? This feels like an easy win to make designers happy. I would like to share my designs in a few ways: direct link to a frame (or selected frames), Link to specific pages, Link to Prototype, or link to Dev Prototype.
Hi @swsjosh, maybe in Figma’s eyes, perhaps they feel dev mode solves the problem because when you mark items as ready for dev on a page, then that page highlights on the left and all the other pages are collapsed under an accordion.
You can right click on any page on the left and copy a direct link to that page.
You can right click on frames in in the layers pane on the left to copy a link.
You can right click on most objects in the layers pane on the left to copy a link.
BUT what you can’t do is lock down those pages that are collapsed under the accordion. That’s where my trouble is. I have old stuff in their that I don’t want developers getting into… They easily expand and find their way in anyway. This lack of ability to lock that stuff off I think is the heart and sole of this feature request.
I think that sharing a page/frame/object and just having it zoom is way different than just sharing the specific design elements you want feedback on. So, I agree, it would be awesome to see these per-frame or per-page sharing options for a better pipeline in the future. I thought I saw the share frame feature in previous requests but now its gone in a newer update, so that’s strange to me.
I guess I will make sure to copy/paste designs into another software to share with clients for now. Not a fan of having clients hover on designs while I’m working on them.
Fully agree with this - transparency should be at the discretion of the designer - not a free for all.
I want to let our clients see only the work that is ready, and keep prying eyes out of my work in progress pages and components.
Such an easy win that just needs to be made already. Dev mode is not a solve for this, my clients are not developers.
Please make this happen 🥺
I have followed this subject/topic for years.
I dont know if it’s what everybody needs - but I use the plugin “Index Page”, then I choose which frames that should be included, and then send the “index page” frame to customers, in that way they can only see the frames/pages I picked (I hope so 😅)
+1 I recently switched to Figma from XD and this is the first thing I encountered that actually frustrates me. Sharing links of certain flows is such a useful feature in XD, can’t believe it’s not a thing in Figma…wtf. I don’t want my whole work file with my component screens and my unfinished pages to be shared. CERTAINLY not with clients.
I am so surprised that it still doesn’t exist.
Hi there!
My suggestion is for adding a feature that allows users to Show or Hide Pages in the Pages panel located on the right side of the screen. This feature would be very useful for hiding pages that we don’t need or want to see, without having to delete the content on those pages.
I have created a rough mockup below of how this feature could work. Perhaps a hidden icon could be added at the bottom of pages, and when clicked, all of the pages that the user marked to hide will show again.
I believe this feature would greatly enhance the functionality of Pages in Figma.
Can’t say any more than has already been said – here’s hoping 2024 is the year for this! 🙏🤞
So am I. It’s ridiculous. It’s completely natural to have some testing things you don’t want to share with everyone.
Figma has so many well executed features that Adobe XD never got, but that one at the very least had an option to share only specific things. With how much Figma can do, it’s baffling to still see certain sections that are seemingly in it’s infancy.
Ah I came here while looking for the feature to make a page accessible. Looks like it is still a “need to have” feature and not yet developed. Oh well. +1 from me.
How is this still not a feature? Just had a client looking through sandbox pages of early designs instead of the “Leave feedback here page” - Please add this in 2024!
🙏 please FIGMA TEAM! Any updates on the one?
2024 Still awaiting this feature
Yes. Pause AI features until it’s ready for prime time and focus on single page sharing option actually requested by users!
I would like to have the function to only show certain pages in my document to clients. With the way we work, clients and external dev teams usually do get access to the files, but I don’t always want to give them access to all pages, I’d like more control in that aspect.
Another +1 from a users that would love this feature!
It would be nice to lock down certain pages within a FigJam to certain access.
WOW! This topic has been needed for such a long time now. Just been speed reading through the thread so far. Surely this is a feature we’d get soon??
I’ve ended up finding this page whist searching online incase there was a solution. Currently wishing there was a way to hide specific pages whilst sharing others.
