Dear Devs,
I really love the features that were implemented in the last few updates like “paste-to-replace” and interactive components…
But please bring this feature to live as soon as possible.
I urgently need it to work efficiently on larger projects!
Agreed, we need to be able to link to specific frames on other pages within a single Figma file.
The current workaround only allows linking to other pages within the same file. 😦

A way I could see this feature implemented is to have multi-layer select that goes from pages to frames when selecting interaction target, I know it’s easy to say and there is a lot behind the UI to consider for it to work
Would use this feature in big projects where it’s not possible to keep everything in a single page
+1 Just moved to Figma from Sketch and now I’m missing this feature

as of another use case, for me at least, I normally have a complex information architecture laid out in page and the designs a system on other pages. It is useful in the workflow to be able to click on items in the information architecture and navigate quickly to see the visual reference of the respective screens / pages.
Same. I just finished moving my massive design file over from Sketch + Invision combo to Figma only to find out that comprehensive prototypes across “Pages” are not possible.
Figma please prioritize this! If you are designing an entire product, this is a must-have imho.
THIS! Along with bringing back numbered comments.

At the very least, it would be so helpful if we could open links in the same tab.
This is extra broken. Me and my senior designer are now contemplating putting our entire design flow into a single page so that we can optimize around this problem. Figma is by far the best tool out there for collaborative UI design, but this one is a major head-scratcher…
Yeah, we’re looking at turning our “final” pages into components and then using them as an instance on another page / file specifically for prototypes - that way if we make a change to the design it flows through to our prototype. We haven’t put this into practice yet (probably next week), so there may be some downsides… Another benefit is that we won’t have Dev and Execs in our working files. 🙂

@Heather_Fischer1 —Yep, that’s a possible workaround we considered also, but ultimately decided to go with the single-page model—we have a pretty interconnected B2B app in which a lot of the flows involve taking users to contexts that jump main-nav verticals, so splitting the pages out into components is would mean a lot of duplication, especially when we reuse overlays across pages.
I want to take full advantage of the interaction design capability of Figma to make sure that what I’m designing is sound across the flows—what I’m hoping for is that Figma will eventually implement pointing a prototype interaction to an element in a different page inside the same document. We’ll see, though.
LOVE this feature in Sketch. Please implement something similar, or dare I say, better!!?
Please @anon21722796 add this feature! Its a major limitation of Figma as noted by everyone else in this thread. The work arounds posted are fine but really don’t work for presentations or user testing of a large prototype. You’ve asked us to pay to get access to more Pages, fine, but at least now that we have paid, please let us link between them in prototype mode!
+1, this is a very important feature that is missing. Please @anon21722796 up it a bit in the backlog. Thx .

Upvoting this thread 🙂 I thought I was the only one who struggle to do so! Prototyping across pages would definitely help managing a massive webpage.
+1 from me as well. It would make projects very lean.
+100 - Actually bamboozled that this isn’t a basic feature
+1 this feature would be very handy
+1. Really need this! Are there any technical issues to implementing such a feature on Figma side? cos’ we don’t see any drawbacks on the business or end-user side.
Great solution. Thanks for sharing this.
Please introduce this feature. Sketch has had it for years and it makes file organisation and global navigation so much easier to manage than in Figma.
Agreed. This is an essential feature.
Still the most needed feature.
