This would mitigate all of the users who are making single layer Auto-layouts specifically so they can do this.

I was curious why our product, fresh out of dev and into QA, lacked accuracy for a number of interactions, transitions, etc. It was only after walking in devs’ shoes for a minute that I realised they cannot actually see any detail if any of the interaction uses variables. This is extent of what they see: But they should be seeing these values: Instead, my design team now has to manually document all interactions to ensure they are accurately reproduced. …or are we all just doing it wrong?

Hi, I discovered dev mode today to add comments to design (without big bubbles). I see that we can add links to dev mode of Confluence but I’m surprised that the links are not auto linked because I add them in Confluence. Ex: I add link of a frame in Confluence, so the link of Confluence page(s) is/are auto add to Figma dev mode. To go further, it will be great if the right panel could display the confluence page (don’t need to open a browser to open it). Thanks for your time

We have 3 menus, why? We can combine file and Figma’s dropdown menu or at least remove some unnecessary items from it. Also what is the 3rd one? We can merge that with the main Figma dropdown menu.

It would be more convenient if objects resized with a fixed aspect ratio automatically rounded their dimensions to the nearest whole pixel. At the moment, one of the dimensions—either width or height—often ends up with fractional values like 40.63px, which can cause visual inconsistencies and alignment issues. Ensuring both dimensions snap to whole pixels would enhance precision and improve the overall editing experience.

The recent Aspect Ratio update has brought with it a frustrating change to the way objects snap to the pixel grid.Previously, when changing the size/position of an object by dragging, it would snap to the nearest pixel. If you needed to get more specific - and have an object at 1.5px width for example - you could change this via the properties panel without having that object snap to the nearest pixel in terms of positioning/size.This felt like a really nice balance between snapping to the nearest pixel with the cursor, whilst retaining control over incremental choices via the properties panel.Now, after the most recent update, we no longer have this control - when you change the size of an object in the properties panel it snaps to the nearest pixel.For example, if I have a rectangle which is 6.5px wide and 1.5px tall, and I use the properties panel to change it's height to 2.5px, it'll automatically change the width to 6px. Hello, Lastly I faced a problem with the wrap mode. I need to be able to fix a max number of items per line before wrapping to the next line (with a min/max width per item of course). As a large organization who auto approve any member wanting a Figjam edit seat, we would like an organization specific link we can share internally that allows new users who sign up to be onboarded into our organization by default - with added protection of whitelisted domains and enforced SSO we already use.It's not always appropriate to have to invite a user into a file for them to get started, and we don’t want the additional admin burden of inviting new users manually.

I would love a way to make designs more responsive, especially when showing the final designs in the prototype mode, by being able to set widths of certain components based on number of columns if using a preset grid layout, or even percentage of the frame the component is in. Auto-layout is great and almost there in helping designs become more responsive in prototype view, but it can be enhanced even more by being able to set certain widths or rules based on screen size. For example, I am creating a dashboard layout, and certain cards on the dashboard are 25% width, or 3 columns of a 12 column grid layout, and then will resize to 50% width when the screen size goes to a tablet screen size. This would help in communicating how components and designs reflow based on screen sizes.

Currently Figma only shows font weights as Thin, Regular, Medium, Bold, Black, etc. on the Design Panel, and you can only see the actual value of the weight in the inspect panel, but it would speed up design spec work and documentation work a lot if in the Design panel, next to each weight it also showed the value for that weight, as in Thin (100), Regular (400), Medium (500), Bold (600), and so on, as it is what tokens should use and developers would implement most often.

I have multiple flows on a page, some web, some mobile. Unfortunately when I try to view the prototype for each of these flows, I’m stuck at always going to the setting to switch the view which defeats the aim of seamless use.Can we have prototype settings for individual flows on a page, so when I click on the prototype link, the screen size is always set.

Need this feature for icebreakers in workshop please.

When will we have custom fonts in Figma Sites? If it´s next week or month, I’ll be switching to Figma Sites for the next projects, if it’s next year, I’ll stick to Framer.Any indication ​@Figma_Support? 

Hey guys, I was playing with Buzz and after pasting one of my assets, the auto-layout property is gone! It seems auto-layout is not supported on the parent frame, or is this a bug? If it’s not a bug, there’s no use for us. We create hundreds of Newsletters and ads with auto layouts which flow automatically depending on the content.Also will the collaborators be able to swap instances of a symbol on a design and hide items? Thanks!

In Dev mode, sometimes the effects designed by the designer are not suitable for the developer.The developer may only need a cutout that contains a part of the layer or effect instead of the full cutout.But in Dev mode, there is no function to hide the layer or effect (small eyes), which will result in the designer having to deal with the extra layer repeatedly every time.

The Figma Sites Webpages Canvas, Has a max height, I can’t continue modifiying the work.  

why we couldn't change order of component properties? 

Previously I was able to manually change the spacing between equally distributed frames or objects  even though the items were not in an auto layout. Now that functionality is gone and I can only edit the spacing manually or by using the pink interface between items - which makes it harder to get specific numbers.

I think we should have an option to switch Device mocks from Laptop to Mobile during presentationsIs it already available? if not, I would love to request this feature.We should be able to assign different device mocks to our flows For example.Sector Web can have Macbook Air but Sector Mobile can have Android Compact.It will allow us to present or share prototypes efficiently.

The most recent update changed a few things in Figjam. First, they added a lot of new “shapes” (which is just a rectangle with an icon inside), and added a couple of new default colors. HOWEVER, they also changed the base colors for stickies!They are now way paler, with washed out, low contrast colors. I’m sure it was supposed to make them look both like real sticky notes and to increase the contrast between the background colors and the text for accessibility reasons, but I feel the colors don’t contrast enough at all between one another.I use colors a lot to help with identifying specific sections or types of notes, I often use every color of stickies available to distinguish between specific uses of each (like taking notes during user tests, each color representing a scenario).Unless custom colors are finally made available for stickies in Figjam, I think they are going to be way more annoying to use for me from now on.  

Please could you build in the ability to customise bullet styling. I have it in my styleguide but am unable to easily create bullet lists with my styling on actual page designs without having to manually add them in. Thanks!

I request that in the person view the teams to which people belong are displayed.Reason for that, as a general administrator, I receive enquiries from numerous teams. I cannot identifiy to which team the person belongs to, neither in the email or when approving in Figma on the person detail.thank you

The file is view-only, and the user cannot remove their presence from the viewer list. Other collaborators can then see email addresses or accounts that were never intended to be associated with that file. I finally figured out (I think) where my prototyping pain is coming from. I think maybe most users would use navigate to in order to navigate between dashboard pages, but I am using change to w/i instances of a large complex component set … with variables. I think my approach is more dynamic, but of course takes up more memory. And, navigate to has some limitations in terms of carrying a prototype across files.  Can Figma consider making variables x prototyping x navigation more robust/dynamic while not destroying memory?

The use case is very simple: Instead of creating a component for “bundles of characteristics”, it would be nice to create classes that you could use to style elements. The most common example would be within cards. You would create a class that includes these styles for the card : Shadow Border radius Background color And you would use this class to style every card component. The problem now is that you can: Either create a card component with a slot, which is not always ideal because you have to make sure that the content always behaves as wanted within the card Style with variables or styles each element of the card everytime Classes would really make life of designers easier, and make it more dev friendly.
