Would be nice to show which color I’m editing inside the library color selection panel. This is shown in the “selection colors” section when I click on an element, but when I click into this color and another panel appears for me to change that color, I would like to see what color is being selected in that panel simply because visual indicator and name of color aren’t enough. I still have to squint or read.
I’m not sure if there’s a way to implement this today. I understand that properties are a shared language between design and dev. However, I can see how design teams may benefit from having additional props that would help with design productivity if we can use additional properties or variants that only we can see and use in designs. Example below of boolean props to show/hide additional tabs. Devs don’t need to see these props, but it helps designers quickly show/hide more as needed for their own projects. Does it even make sense to use props this way? Either way, I’d love to hear everyone’s thoughts on it. Thanks!
It would be great to be able to apply annotations to elements within components and allow them to also be included in instances. For this we need current simple instance-level annotations as well as component-level annotations that are included with instances. Annotations (Component/Instances) Annotations (Instance)
Hello, I don’t mean high contrast as in AAA inverted contrast. Just a bit darker borders etc. so I can visually can pick stuff easier. Also have to say, not having accessibility within tags section made me a bit left out 😦 I believe in Figma though 🙂
It would be great if the “strongly disagree”, “Neutral” and “Strongly agree” labels could be changed in the Alignment scale of the Live interaction component in Slides. We use it for various things - e.g. to check-in on how the team feels, stress-levels etc, and the current labels don’t always make sense.
Can we please add indentation to the style group members? It’d be even better if we can have expand/collapse of text style groups. As it stands today, it is so easy to select the wrong text styles because they all look like they are on the base level in style organization/grouping. Some simple indentation will do the trick.
As an admin, I would like to see “network access” for every plugin that is approved in the organisation. Sometimes plugin creators change these settings and it’s hard to track it individually. Please add a column with “network access” in Admin / Resources / Approved plugins (for both requested and approved).
Until now I had access to every asset in my file and plugins just by pressing Shift + I. Now if I want to use any plugin I need to take the mouse and select the option from the toolbar. This is very frustrating and breaks my whole workflow. I want to know why this is a better option.
Can their please be an update so that when you mark a comment as “unread” in a design file, it will be reflected in the notificiation thread under the bell in the file browser view? Otherwise, how else could you productively use the feature without constantly opening files to check for unread comments? Attached is what I see even if i mark a comment as “unread.” This seems not right to me. Share an idea figma Feedback
I’ve had this problem for a few months now. I used to be able to @ everyone involved in a project of mine. Over time, I’m only able to @ fewer and fewer people. Now, I can only @ one person in the project. Is this a known bug or issue?
Hey! I’m a long-time Figma user and I’m finding the ability to delete objects on Slide Decks’ is frustrating. Here is what I’m doing: Select Group Press Delete on the Keyboard Nothing happens. It deletes the scale words (1x). This is extremely annoying as you would expect it to function like how the old Figma UI would. Figma, PLEASE FIX!
In UI3, only the “Export” label and “+” button expand the Export options. All the other section bars in the pane can be opened by clicking anywhere on the bar. Please make Export do the same!
I’m struggling to explain this exactly, but I often find myself thinking about this when working with visuals that involve multiple elements. Whenever I try to select something, the standard box selection just doesn’t work for what I want to achieve. I haven’t seen this feature in any other software, so I’m not sure if it’s even possible, but here’s my idea: What if there was a way to change the selection method? Instead of using a box, you could use a line, almost like the pen tool, and anything that the line crosses, in any direction, would be selected on that layer. Does something like this exist already, and I’m just missing it? I’ve attached a video to illustrate what I mean.
Who wants the color function mode: hue saturation brightness Wouldn’t it be easier to have this function within Figma, rather than just switching applications?
All AI features have been switched off recently (result of risk assessment, I guess). It would be really helpful to have Customisable AI settings in Figma. This would let organisations choose which AI features to turn on or off. For example, they could keep things like renaming layers, organising layers, find and replace, etc., while turning off more advanced features. This would be great for users, as it would streamline repetitive, time-consuming tasks while still giving teams control over creative decisions. For organisations, it would allow them to tailor AI use to fit their needs, keeping workflows efficient while staying in line with any internal policies or preferences around AI.
I created a component with several texts, and I want some of them to be truncated at the second line. It is impossible in the software, the property is not available when I have a style of text inside a component. But It is available in a free box text.
When an item is selected and I zoom in… Can we zoom into that specific selected item… like adobe illustrator? right now it just randomly zooms into the center and I have spend tome scrolling around looking for the item I was trying to zoom into.
The tabs currently only show the file name, but they leave out the project name. I organize files within projects, without putting the project name redundantly in the file name. This is fine in the project browser, but the tabs are not easily differentiated without the context. I would suggest putting the project name (with a less dominant color) before the file name. Or alternatively, group files by project automatically.
I bring the security key around and recently I realised that passwords and phones are simply not safe enough thanks to the sheer no. of data breaches online. Can we give the security key option to MFA? I know the Figma team uses FIDO2 so I’m sure it’s doubly good to know that the owner physically in-person confirmed their presence.
“For one week starting this April Fun Day” but why only for a limited time? In almost the same breath the article states: “There’s no visual metaphor for personal expression quite like a cursor blinking in a brave new document, or zooming around a shared canvas. In Figma and FigJam, cursors signify multiplayer collaboration. These avatars don’t just design and build, but also chat, emote, and high five. They’re how we see and relate to each other thanks to—not in spite of—our screens.” I’d like to see customer cursors stay past this April fun week.
The active Team on the UI is not visible most of the time on the UI and it makes file creation and collaboration with multiple Teams hard for me: When I create a new file, I don’t know where it will be created. I don’t know which file I’m using when I open a duplicate file that lives in multiple teams. When opening generically named files from the recent list, I don’t know which file is on which team. The worst is the new file dialog. I can accidentally create drafts in the wrong Team and have to double-check and move the file. What I would like to see Let me see and change the active team on the file creation dialog, so I can be sure I create the new file in the right Team. Let me see the Team of the currently open file, so I can be sure I’m working in the right file. Please show the team name in the recent lists on the new file dialog and on the top right … menu, so I can be sure to open the right file.
make an option to rotate the diagram vertical from because horizontal diagrams are not the visual way
what about having lines to represent if the colors are accessible or not in color picker, so it’s easy for designers to check for accessibility before even choosing the colors, and when getting colors from styles there a filter in the dropdown for accessible ones
Start showing the slides of a presentation template when the user hovers on the card instead of having to open the page for the template in order to see how the other slides look
