Prototype link broke with nested components randomly

Can you let me know if this is happening in the browser, the desktop app or both?

Have you tried to clear your browser cache and your desktop app cache?

You can clear the desktop app cache on a Mac in the Help menu under Troubleshooting.

If you’d prefer to manually clear your cache you can:

1. Quit the Figma desktop app
2. Open Terminal.app and enter the following command: rm -rf “$HOME/Library/Application Support/Figma”
3. Try opening the desktop app again

On Windows you can clear the desktop app cache under the toggle-arrow at the right of the top toolbar under Help > Troubleshooting.

1. Close the Figma desktop app
2. Open the Start menu, and paste in this, followed by enter: %APPDATA%\Figma
3. In the window that opens, delete the Desktop and DesktopProfile folders if they exist
4. Launch the desktop app again

Could you also try opening your working file and running a Quick Action called “Repair Component Connections”? This command has a similar affect to fetching the most updated version of the main component, without you having to manually change and re-publish the main component and accept updates in subscribed files.
I’ve included some instructions on running the command below.

1. Open the affected file
2. From the main dropdown menu in the top left, navigate to the “Quick Actions” search bar.
3. Search for “Repair Component Connections”
4. Run this command

Thanks for your reply.
It happened both in the browser and my desktop.
I’ve tried cleared up the cache and run “Repair Component Connections”.
It shows Nothing to repair and the links still gone.

It happened randomly and I need to select each child component to “Reset all changes” even if I didn’t change anything. And there are lots of components… 🥲

I also tried to separate this page to an independent design file to see whether it takes too much memory.(But some pages are small, they happened as well.)

Some of my team members are using New UI3 (beta),some are using the old version, will it be the root cause ?
