I'm unable to type anything when after creating the "area" for the text. Even, I'm unable to edit the previously written texts. I tried using different browsers, but it doesn't work. Finally, I'm not able to use Desktop version, the design doesn't load (same for Firefox).When I try to type something, the F and A selects Frame, T selects the text, in other words, I'm unable to type in the canvas, rather the shortcut keys are working.I used Figma long ago. So, I don't remember anything, and I was able to write only one text; again, I tried to create a new design and tested, but it didn't work. Is there a way to set design mode to be my default? I have a dev seat and am classified in a software engineering role, but for the work I do in Figma, I strongly prefer the design mode navigation. I am needing to manually toggle to design mode every time I bring up Figma.

Quick question — is it possible for Figma Support to move a Design System (currently in another org) and a UI Kit (currently in a Free Team) into our Enterprise Organization without breaking component IDs or links? How long does it take? It would be better if I transfer the design system file to free team in order to have both files in free team so the transfer would be easier? thanks a lot!

Hi everyone, I’m trying Figma for mockups presentations and I want to create a interactive drop down menu that when the mouse hovers, it slides with clickable options showing, but I also want to show for my team what it will look like before publishing. Is there a way I can do it with my design? 

I made a component that is a button with a dropdown menu when you hover over it, and I want to be able to change the dropdown options to be different for each of the buttons. I tried manually changing the buttons to be the Dropdown Variant to change the list options and change it back to the Closed Variant, but when I hover over it in prototype it still shows the template 1-5.Here are some images to show what I mean. The first image is how I want the menus to function and work when you hover over them. (Hover over “Font Type” and the 5 options show up, but if you hover over “Font Weight” there are 3 options and they are different.)The second image is how it works in prototype, where each of the four dropdown buttons have the same template “1-5” numbers.Am I able to change these secondary variants per instance of a component? Or do I need to make a separate component for each of these instances so that I can change the options?

Hi everyone,I hope you are all having fun out there! So I have this component in a group that has 3 different colors. I want to change 2 of them from the ‘Selection colors’ menu on the right and assign the same color style to both but when I want to apply a color style from my library, I can only change the color one by one.Is there a way to select 2 or more colors and assign the same color style to all? (I tried and I cannot select multiple colors from the menu) Or maybe there is a plugin for this? Please see the attachment.Thank you!

Hi, so I’m organizing an icon kit with fill-outline toggle in multiple component sets. What I didn’t realize was I used the wrong property name and would like to change it from type → fill. But when I alt+a (select all), the property section disappears.  Can anyone please help me out? Thanks

Hello,About a year ago, I applied for Figma Education as a K12 student and have been using it since then. My school does not provide students with email addresses, and when I previously asked about this through community support, I was told that it is possible to apply using a personal email address, and that if my application were rejected, I should reply to the rejection email with a copy of my student ID or similar proof. In the end, my application was approved right away without being rejected, and I’ve been using it ever since.Earlier, I received an email titled “[Reminder] Re-verify your Figma for Education status by Sept 29th to maintain Pro access”The email includes a link to re-verify my status, but the form linked there only provides the following options for “What type of institution do you attend or work for?”: “Higher Ed,” “Bootcamp or Online program,” and “High School (if permitted by terms below).” There is no option for K12.I recall the form being different when I first

Hi! I created a Figma file last week. I was able to view it last Friday but when I’m looking at it today, Sunday, suddenly it’s gone. It’s not in the Drafts, not in the Recently Deleted Drafts as well. I unfortunately do not have a URL as I didnt share it with anybody. Is there anyway I can still find it? Can anybody help me please. Thank you!

I have purple boxes between components however i want to remove them so there’s no space. How do I do that  

I cannot access Figma (the main figma.com domain, any other subdomain is accessible, e.g forum.figma.com, status.figma.com, etc.) unless the firewall is disabled on my network under Windows 11 Security.Neither is it accessible from Firefox and the desktop app, nor from other browsers. However, from other devices it seems to be working. Any port connection manipulating firewall rules, that I know to previously have been created, have been disabled. The browsers, operating system and most drivers are up to date. It is also not working with extensions disabled and disabling the browser’s use of Proxy does nothing.This is the error that the desktop app displays:Update: it has to be a problem on my home network, since on mobile network sharing from my phone it loads in.

Hello, noobie here, currently taking my first UI/UX course and have been enjoying the process using Figma so far. I haven’t had any troubles until recently, when I started prototyping. As you can see from my pic, I have some low-fi wireframes I made with basic shapes and text that I’m trying to prototype for a basic user flow. But some reason, when I click or hover over anything, except for the tiny diamonds that were imported with the iconify plugin for some reason, the nodes allowing me to connect to other frames does not appear. So I’m stuck and could really use some help. Thanks. 

I thought the Figma education plan gave me the same credits as the existing professional plan, but is the education plan unable to use Figma Make?

If I define  6 grid with margins I want the element in the grid to adhere to the grid and am not interested in widht/heigh in px. For horizontal designs it should be set as start and end (or span). That way the design transfers easily to css-grid without reinterpreting the widths In Layout quide - Columns at the possibilty to replace position/width with grid-start and grid-end or span.

I originally received the Education plan when I was studying in a course.Now I am working in Figma as part of a team, and I see that I need to verify my Education status. The issue is that I no longer have valid proof of enrollment, so I cannot verify as a student.I would like to purchase a paid plan instead, but I noticed that plans can only be purchased for a team. If I buy a plan for my own team, I won’t be able to transfer that subscription to the team I was added to.Could you please advise me what the best solution is in this case? Should I create and pay for a new team, or is there a way to upgrade my individual account while still working inside my current team?Thank you for your support!

Hello Figma Team,I’ve been using "Figma Make" and noticed that some of its features are very similar to "Cursor", which I found quite impressive. I’m amazed by Figma’s innovative technology.I have a few questions regarding its functionality:Could you let me know which language model "Figma Make" uses to perform its tasks? I have been in contact with SheerID regarding the verification process for an education plan, and they confirmed I’m verified and approved, despite this Figma keeps telling me to reverify. I sent a request to Figmas support team but got back that I need to get support trough the Community Support Forum, So here we are. I cannot redo the verify process as it says my Verification limit is exceeded and that it seems like the offer is already redeemed. Please let me know how to solve this.Thanks!
