Hello everyone, I am looking for some help for Figma Make. I am using Figma since looong time, but now I am struggling using this new AI tool. Getting very poor result and spending 30X time to get the same stuff I could do in old Figma is seconds 😅.I know there are tons of tutorials around but I would prefer to have some 1:1 time to speed up things and debugs issues on the go. With hosting a website through figma, how does that work exactly? If I were to build the site with figma pro, host it and connect a domain name etc, will that website still be live if I decide to not renew my pro subscription and go back to basic?Thank you in advance

HiI'm new to Figma, and I'd like to learn how to create masks for icons. What you see in the image are several icons from this design file. Each icon comes with a mask, and the mask follows the shape of the icon, It also has an alpha color, (semi-transparent pink) Please, I need step-by-step instructions to learn how to create masks that follow the shape of the icon. I'm a noob at Figma so I need your help.  Thank you in advance.

Hi team 👋,I’m looking for clarification on how API rate limits are calculated when requesting specific node IDs compared to fetching the entire file.Questions: When calling the /nodes endpoint with multiple node IDs, does it count as: a single API request regardless of the number of node IDs, or multiple requests internally that affect rate limits? Is there any difference in rate-limit cost or weighting between: fetching the whole file, and fetching a subset of nodes? Do factors like number of node IDs, file size, or response payload size influence how rate limits are counted?

Hi, I am writing plugin to merge remote variables (from a library) into the local file.example: “color-content-primary” variable from library file used to color an icon from Lucide Icons library and find, match & merge with color variable of the same name from the local file.*The purpose is to ensure my design system (semantic colors) have been applied.I have the plugin working but I have an issue where it can find the ‘collection name’ for the variables for the remote file but when i have used multiple libraries it only displays one collection name. Is this expected ?example: When i select sample icons from Lucide Icons library after import and run the plugin it fetches the collection name. When i select sample icons from Hue Icons library after import and run the plugin it fetches the collection name. When I select icons from both libraries it only returns a single collection name.Is this a limitation ? (or an error)

So i am trying to get something to work that might be a little specific.  I have a file with components that have semantic variables that i use as a ‘database’ of different site components, i have set different variables like border-radius, font-family etc. When i want to create a new project i want to use the library from this file and use all the component with all their variables except for the color variables. So what i did was export the color variables from the ‘master’ file, import in the new project, published the library from the new file and swapped the color variable from the masterfile (thats connected) with the new library from the new file.So this worked, which is great, but the only problem is that everytime that i want to change the colors and see changes i have to publish the library (from the new project) en then push the updates on that same file, which seems kind off strange since i’m working in that file already. Is there a way to instantly auto-update the swapped

During Figma Schema 2025 they announced upcoming support for extended variable collections and native variable export/import conforming with the DTCG token specification.It was announced during this session: Here is a screenshot of what they were proposing:An update to the app dropped a few days ago with extended collections but I cannot find how to export variables to JSON (without using a plugin).I don’t have the “Export modes” option in my dropdown menu, even with our Enterprise account.Has anyone got that feature and how do you do it?

 Hi everyone. Is there a way to export styles to CSS or Tailwind? 

Does anyone have a good CSS export pipeline for text styles (i.e. plugins, Figma document setup, custom code/scripts)? I’d like to use Figma to export some particular CSS for our web projects, but our designers have tried a number of plugins and the export always seems to leave something to be desired. The two things we’d like to be able to export - before anything else - is variables and text styles.Our variable export pipeline is now usable: we post-process Figma’s output to combine files from the format ‘Variables > Mode > Category.css’ into a single root CSS with a fair number of vars for colours, spacers, and a few other things.But when it comes to Text Styles:the color isn’t output the font weight is outright wrong (always weight 400, when the text style pane has a different weight defined in the ‘Variable’ subpane) uppercase/all-caps isn’t honoured (i.e. text-transform uppercase is not present in the export CSS)We have a setup where we export a number of text styles that b

Questions:How Can I Export All My Design Variables as a .JSON to my developer without a plugin in dev mode I do not see an export option? How Can I Export All My Design Variables as a .JSON to my developer with a plugin? Do you have a recommended plugin and steps? I'm experiencing a problem with my published design system in Figma. Although the system file containing components and variables has been successfully published and linked to other files, the color variables aren't showing up correctly in the list or grid views. I've already tried re-publishing the file, re-linking the library, checking for naming conflicts, confirming styles are properly defined and published, and clearing the Figma cache. Despite these efforts, the issue persists, which undermines the purpose of a centralized design system. Has anyone encountered this before or found a reliable workaround?Thanks  

Hello,One of my colleagues creates mockups in Figma. She has a company email address (mail@company.com) and shared the file link with me.When I click the link, I request access. I receive an email confirming that my access request has been approved, and I can then navigate the mockup without any issue.However, sometimes, suddenly, I receive a red notification in Figma saying something like “You don’t have access to this file”, and I am forced to request access again.I don’t know which Figma subscription plan we are on (if any), so I’m wondering if this behavior could be related to plan or permission limitations.Thank you for your help,Best regards.

hey, after the latest update of the right menu, where it used to be device selecting to present prototype, I can't change the peresenting device to desktop, even if I'm trying to present 1920*1080 frame.
