Hello. Is there any way to solve my problem without plugins?We with team mate have file, that we use to work and now stored in personal account. File must be shared to view other team, and it's preferably to move on common corporate account.But our Figma components must be forbidden to using other team. It may confuse designers and dev team, if they will see components with similar names.Despite we have these components in separate file, other team will see them.For example, designer making something with component: he press Shift+I to see assets, print "Header", then he see "Header" design component and "Header" our component, it's confusing.This is actual component logic, isn’t it?So is there exist way to stay file sharing for team viewing, stay file editing for just 2 people, but forbid using components by other team except specified 2 people? I found this topic, but seems like symbols _ and . now not making component private

When I try to copy and paste a frame, Figma only copies and pastes the text in the frame. When I try to copy and paste an image, an icon etc. It simply doesn’t paste anything. The copy & paste function was working perfectly and all of a sudden it stopped working.

I accidentaly deleted some files permanently and those files were very important and i need them, please help me.

Hi,I’m posting here because I haven’t received any response from Figma Education support yet, so I’m hoping someone from the team or the community can help me out. (I’m sending this from another account I also have without any educational advantages nor my files)The email address currently linked to my Figma account can no longer receive emails outside of its workspace. Because of that, I’m basically locked out of receiving important messages.I do have another fully functional educational email address (the one I’m using to post this), and I’d like to know if it’s possible to replace the old email with the new one on the same Figma account, without losing my educational status.I already tried reaching out via email but got no response so far, which is why I’m posting here. I have a free Figma a/c, it says I can’t add a Variant (for a dropdown hover button) without a subscription? I added the variables for different buttons but am wondering now if there is anyway to make a dropdown menu with a colour hover using a free plan? I was looking for this add variant icon to add the variant: https://youtu.be/DuJL8t4mymsAlso I cannot now find the way that I produced the Figma pop up that said I needed a plan?

Grey outline has suddenly appeared around all text and picture elements and frames. Some Googling suggests I’ve activated Outline Mode. Unfortunately, none of the shortcuts to switch off Outline Mode are having any effect. Stuck, with grey outlines on everything. Please advise

Hey I recently published a component file to Figma make, hoping to try it out, however I cannot seem to find the “component view” (seem attached image fore reference) in Figma make that was showcased during the Schema 2025.Any Ideas how I can access it?thanks :)Schema:My view:  

My Mac runs 11.7.10 and can’t update to 12.  I have just updated to the latest version of Figma app which now tells me it won’t run on my Mac. Is there any way I can get back to my previous version or am I now going to be forced to buy a new Mac?  

I’m building a Figma plugin that exports many frames in bulk, and one requirement is to save all exported files directly into a user-selected local folder using only the plugin (no backend).Is this possible with the current Figma Plugin API?

Hey everyone I'm working with Untitled UI (which has 7,000+ components and uses Figma Variables extensively). I want to create a leaner design system file by copying over only the components I need.The problem:When I copy-paste components to a new file, the variable connections break Variables either don't come over, or only a partial set copies (e.g., 68 out of 400+) Components end up with raw hex values instead of variable referencesWhat I've tried:Copy/paste components → variables don't link "Copy variables into this file" prompt → only copies variables that specific component uses, not the full system Copying variables directly → Figma doesn't support copy/paste for variables Publishing as library → fails around 3,000-4,000 items (file has ~7,000)"Just duplicate the file" doesn't solve it:I know I could duplicate the whole file and delete what I don't need. But here's the issue:Say I duplicate Untitled UI, then delete everything except Buttons, and now I have a small file with work

Why Figma Make create his own landing page when I attached a design ans ask him to take exactly my design and just animate the page?

I found many topics related to my question, but without answers and closed due to inactivity, so my hopes are really low, but give it a shot anyway. Whenever I create a Layout Grid (columns) it will be visible, and work fine toggling the visibility with L Shift + G. but for some reason, eventually the grids will just not show… the toggle is still happening (the eye icon beside the layout grid toggle open and closed) but the grid is not visible anymore, and the only way to make it work again is to delete the grid, and create the grid again… which is a bit annoying. Has anyone encounter this similar problem and had a solution? is this a bug that is beign addressed? I will appreciate any type of answer, considering that most of the similar topics where closed without a single response. Thank you! 😅

Hi,is this possible?User clicks on object (e.g., a rectangle) in prototype mode This triggers a function call in my pluginCurrently, I can associate various actions with an object, e.g.,  “navigate to”, “set variable”, “open URL”, but I couldn’t use it to trigger a function in the plugin.I tried observing variables, but variable changes triggered in prototype mode don’t seem to reflect in the plugin.Maybe there is a deep link into the plugin that I can trigger with “open URL”?Any suggestions welcome. When downgrading from Organization to Professional, I’ve understood that open branches will no longer be accessible from below post’s answer. What will happen to archived branches? We do not need to edit it, but would it be possible to access them after being downgraded to Professional?

When opening Figma today I noticed 375 mobile frame has been archived, a long with various other sizing. Out of curiosity when did this happen and why? I thought 375 was still a very relevant size to design towards as well as larger screens up to 440.

Hi Figma Support team,I was recently charged for an additional editor due to an unintended misunderstanding of how team billing works.A collaborator accessed a file in a team project and was automatically counted as an editor. This resulted in an extra editor seat being added and an unexpected increase in my monthly charge.As soon as I noticed the charge, I immediately removed the collaborator from the team and moved all files back to Drafts to prevent further charges.This was a short-term, non-commercial team project, and the collaborator did not actively use editor features.I would really appreciate it if you could review this case and let me know if a one-time courtesy refund is possible.Thank you for your time and understanding.

We are using a Figma Professional plan.The email associated with the account was deleted and later recreated with the same address and domain (sergio.mendez@servifacil.com.mx)The account still exists, but password reset emails are not being received.We need assistance recovering access or migrating the files to another account.

About a month ago, you mentioned that the team is working on this but couldn’t share a specific timeline yet.Since some time has passed, I’d like to follow up and ask if there are any updates you can share. We are a county government and want to use the free version of Figma to view UX/UI files created by a vendor.  Some companies don’t allow county government to use free versions.  Wondering if Figma is the same?  Not seeing anything prohibiting it but want to make sure.Thanks much,Melanie

Wondering if anyone has any context on this strange selection lag issue I run into when selecting component instance nodes:Our plugin listens to selection events via selectionchange event (docs) On selection change, we want to evaluate figma.currentPage.selection and perform some calcuations This works fine and well, EXCEPT for the case where the current Figma selection includes component instance nodes In that case, when the user selects a component instance node directly, the selection of the comp instance node lags (see video-- there's a lag as the selection boundary "flashes" when selecting an instance node, VS no lag when selecting a frame node) But what's odd is that if I select a parent node containing that same comp instance node, e.g. a frame, there is no lagI can consistently reproduce this laggy selection with the simple code below. Hello Figma Team / Community,I’m facing an issue accessing my Figma account.I originally signed up using my previous company’s Google account (which is now suspended because the company has shut down). As a result, I no longer have access to that email address and can’t receive password reset or verification links.Now I’m stuck because: Figma only allows email changes through confirmation on the old (suspended) address. Support replies are also being sent to that same old email, so I can’t see any responses. I still have full proof of ownership of the account (workspace name and other info).Could someone from the Figma team please contact me privately so I can verify my identity and update my account to a new email?(For privacy reasons, I’m not sharing my old or new email publicly, but I can provide both directly to the support team.)Thank you for your help! 🙏

September 29th has passed and I am unable to discontinue my education plan, so I would like to upgrade.
