Unable to sign in to my Figma account.

Hi, I’m unable to sign in to my Figma account. The issue is that the authentication code (for verification/login) is being sent to my old Gmail account, which has become inactive. I no longer have access to that email, and I also don’t remember the password to recover it.

Because of this, I’m completely locked out of my Figma account.
Is there any way to verify my identity or recover access without using that old email?

Thanks for your help!

Hey @remya,  I’m really sorry to hear you’re locked out of your account. I know how stressful that can feel!

For security reasons, Figma can only send login verification codes to the email address currently linked to your account.
Do you happen to have your old email set up to forward messages to your new one? If so, try resetting your password, that should let you bypass Google’s single sign-on and log back into your Figma account, where you can then update your email address.

Still, if your emails aren’t being forwarded, I’d recommend reaching out directly to our Support team here. They’ll be able to take a closer look with you.
(Unfortunately, I can’t handle account-specific issues here in the Forum for privacy and security reasons. Thanks for your understanding!)

Hi @Celine_

Thanks for addressing this! Unfortunately, I’m not able to forward my old email address to any new one. I’ve already submitted a support request and hope it will be resolved soon.
Just wanted to check — since I’m on the free plan, will there be any issue with recovering my account?

Thank you !!

Thanks for the update! Our support team will review your request and see if there are any other options to help verify your account.

Being on the Free plan won’t prevent you from recovering access. The process is the same for all plans 🙂

Thank you.
