I can’t remove a component. I’ve looked through the forum issues and I can’t see the exact same scenario. I made a component and I need to remove it, but here’s the problem. When I try, there is no option to detach the instance or remove it. This is what it looks like in the layers panel: And when I try to right-click, here are the menu options: I tried copying the component so I could detach it, but it copies it over just like a main component. Any ideas on what I’m doing wrong?

Hi, I am using variable modes and I connected each toggle switch with the respective variable mode(You can ignore SwitchEmail variable). Toggle buttons are working as expected. I have “disable all” button at top to disable all toggle button . So You can see I set interaction as setting variable to false. But issue is that it is not working as expected. What happens is when I click on disable all then only 1st toggle button disable. When I click again on “disable all” then all other three push toggle disabled. Also when I switch on 1st toggle then all other three push toggle also become true. Can someone please resolve this issue? What I am missing in interactions?

I have big pages with multiple designs elements that for some reasons cannot be on separate pages. Having them on separate pages won’t allow us to compare them one against the others. Is there a way to share a specific area or location (x,y) of the page so when developers open the link don’t land in the wrong area and get lost?

Why is the (Google)font not loaded with the weights? This seems to appear after the update of Figma. Last week it worked fine.

Not seeing a way to have variable bool states allow for smart animations in the same way changing variant states allows for it (i.e. if you made a switch that flipped using 2 variants, it’s easy to have them smart animate to each other… but not possible with variables, as variable state changes don’t seem to have controls for animation)

Hey Figma Team, I’m encountering a significant issue with scaling shapes using the keyboard. Previously, the process was smooth: Hit K. Tab once to change the width or height precisely. However, after the recent update: Hitting K brings up the alignment panel in the scale module. The Tab key no longer navigates to the width and height fields, skipping them entirely. This bug prevents accurate scaling through the keyboard, disrupting workflow efficiency. Please fix this ASAP to restore the previous functionality. Thanks, Hyke bug

I understand that I am looking to create a node from a Figma widget without redirecting the customer away from my website. I have already embedded the Figma URL containing the widget on my website and created a plugin, but I am having trouble running the widget from the embedded iframe. I am wondering if this is possible and if there is an API that could help me accomplish this.

Hi everyone 👋 I think it’s impossible to do that now but maybe in the future. Anyway, I try to ask this community to maybe find someone who succeed to do what I want to do 🙂 I want to have different scroll behaviours in different frames connected between them to make a table with the same functionality than « Freeze panes to lock rows and columns » like in Excel or Google Sheet. Hi, everyone! Is there a way to find the element/frame/tiny-little-thing that is using a shadow style that comes from a missing library? This shadow doesn’t come from any library used in this project and it won’t match with any library, so swapping is not an option. I’m trying to find the element that uses it so I can remove this style from the file, but I can’t, I have hundreds of screens in this file. I have tried some plugins already that help a lot when it’s about text and color styles, but none of them map the effects. Thank you in advance. Ps: I did a quick research on the topic but I haven’t found anyone discussing this issue.

Hi - new to Figma here. I have to create a simple prototype for my UX course and just figured out scrolling. The homepage design (links below) have both vertical and horizontal scrolling features. I want the scroll to stop at a gentle ‘bounce’ when you scroll back to start position. My scroll just comes to an abrupt stop. Hi everyone, I’m having trouble with something in Figma and could really use some assistance. I’ve designed a mobile questionnaire and set up variables to enable the “Next” button only when an answer is selected. By default, the footer containing the “Next” and “Back” buttons is disabled. My issue is that I can’t figure out how to prototype the transition from one question to the next if the “Next” button is disabled in my frame by default. I know there are workarounds using multiple frames, but that gets really tedious. I also know I could use the base component and make the transition from there, but the “Next” button doesn’t always lead to the same page, just the next question. As a new user, I can’t add a video, so I hope this makes sense. Any advice or guidance on how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hi there, I’m struggling with one of the Prime components and need some help. We have installed the UI kit and published it within the relevant projects. However need assistance with the drop down component. (see attached) We basically want to be able to change the content for the drop down list, and the way I am doing this is to change the status from ‘Idle’ to ‘Open’ and then manually changing the text for each item. If I leave the state as ‘Open’ and then click on the prototype play button - it works as I intended. (With the ammended content in the drop down list) However If I change the state back to ‘Idle’ and then click back into prototype, the content within the drop down list reverts back to the global state. Could someone please help me with this issue?

I have a Figma design file and includes lots of screenshots. It also has some text edit on this. So I have images and texts, some times I only want to choose images from that file but it doesn’t allow me to do that. Is there any way to choose only images or texts in a specific range? Screenshot is just an example, each image and each text are uniqui in my case. That’s why I can’t use search bar

Hello all, Is it true that you cannot change the settings for truncation whenever your text properties have been saved as a style? If you, by accident via copy-paste, inherit truncation from some text and then turn this into a style, you cannot find any property for this under its settings afterwards. It seems a tad cumbersome if you then need to recreate the text style and go through your entire prototype to re-apply the new style afterwards. Cheers, Massimo

Hello folks, on the attached screenshot you can see a navigation element. In this element can be a badge that contains a name. I want the badge to hug the name until the width of the badge exceeds the width of the parent frame. From then on, the text should be truncated. As far as I know, the text layer should be set to “Fill” and the frame with the background area should be set to “Hug”. But this is not possible. What am I doing wrong?

Hi, I want to create a component that will be single-selected radio buttons along with a fixed amount and the last radio option will be adding a custom amount so that the user can set the amount of his choice. Moreover, The amount that the user selects or writes will be stored in a variable to display later. Here is what I want: I have a single-selection radio group component working but need help with a custom field to enter the amount. Can anyone point out how to do this?

Hello,is there anyone who faced with this kinda problem.Suddenly I got a notification in Figma"failed to fetch font list.Your network settings may need updating"… And I checked it after that I got a long message " These features require access to domains that may be blocked domains below:" So I checked my Window firewall defender … and it’s allowed already Figma. I did reinstall and upgraded my driver too. Even I tried to use with VPN,but it’s not working. And now I can enter my profile,when I click my project it’s just loading then never open. So please help me if you know the way to repair this situation.

Whenever I change a color of a text for example, I will type in the color name and search it in my library. After searching I will use the keys [down] to navigate to the right shade. After the update the up and down key doesn’t work anymore and it is making color selection more cumbersome. It still works for text style selection so maybe it is a bug? Is anyone experience the same?
