Is anyone using slide deck in Figma ? Is it able to import certain assets that I’ve created in another Figma board for collaboration?

Yes, you can click the + icon on the bottom bar and then click “Add your own”
Your file will appear next to Add your own], then you click on it and drag out any assets you need
