I’m working on a prototype where user can scroll up and down a landing page, but when scrolling back up even though the button is sticky the place to interact with it seems to have moved. So when someone taps on the button nothing happens and it highlight way above the button even if there’s no interactible section there. I was planning a usability test today but I wouldn’t be able to till this is working properly. I have tried already several things like disconnecting and reconnecting, closing and opening Figma, restarting, etc. Is someone going through the same and have a recommendation on how to fix it?

Hello friendly people, I’ve gotten myself into a rather uncomfortable situation regarding my variable set up, the issue at hand: I have added lots of color variables but always duplicated the previous group structure. All of my variables have now these properties: I am wondering, is there a way / or plugin where I can take a set of variables and edit their properties? In my example the color scoping should be entirely deselected and the code syntax should be just the default for now. This I want to apply to 60 variables in one batch. Is that possible? There is probably an easy solution to this that I am missing, but I couldn’t find anything in the forum 😦 As an interesting addition to that problem: Is it possible to generate code syntax abbreviations for new variables in a pre-defined way? So say my syntax needs to look like this: ${Colors. Blue[100]} and a subsequent shade would just be ${Colors.Blue[200]} etc. Is this possible in Figma? Is there a Plugin for that? Thank you

Hi there, I am unable to open all of my prototypes using the embedded share link in my portfolio and my share view link. They only work within the Figma desktop app, using the in-app preview prototype function. When I try to open them in incognito mode and Safari, they work, but not with Chrome for some reason. I saw that some other members suggested removing cookies from Chrome, but I can’t figure out how to “only remove Figma’s cookies” without losing all my other data/history/ settings etc . Please help! Hey, there’s a bug happening when you edit an existing comment and try to tag people on it. The results dropdown shows under the comment box, making some of the results not selectable. The only option is to delete the comment thread and add them again.

Hi, on the recent Figma update, there seems to be a little bug. When i create a component and create multiple instances, i’m not able to place the component on the canva and copy it. Immediately i select the component and copy it, Figma gets stuck. If any one is facing this challenge, will like to know how to solve it or report the bug

The smooth join selection keyboard shortcut is missing in my both app & web. I am a Windows user. Is that feature no longer available in Figma?

But what about my draft projects that don’t belong to any team? Will Figma use them to train AI models? If that’s correct, then how can I prevent that from happening?

I have a file I created in my personal account; company bought a Pro account and I transferred it there by changing the owner to me at my company address. It is in Recents. l can’t drag it into the team I created (the team doesn’t highlight on drag hover), and if I create a project under the team and try to drag the file there I get a message “You don’t have permissions to remove files from this project.” Huh?

I’ve got a project and two design files, A and B, that reside in it. File A houses designs for an app. File B is added to it as its library. I created a component in A and used it to create child components in A. I want to move the component from A to B now, so that the child components in A link to the component in B as their parent component. I have the professional plan, I have full ownership of the entire project (though only see myself as the owner of one of the design files when I go to its sharing settings). I’m copying and pasting exactly like Figma tells me to. No go. It used to work just fine a few days ago.

Hello all! Im having trouble with a prototype on the Figma iPhone mirror app. (I have the iPhone 14 if that is any relevant). The first screen (start of the flow) appears for half a second and then the screen goes completely black. It works perfectly on desktop app so I do not think its about the interactions. Am I missing something? Can someone help?

Hi, everyone! I know it’s a feature that everyone wants to have, the one that during scrolling there is a change in the navigation bar. Currently this can be achieved with mouse enter. I’m trying to scroll horizontally through “floors”, I move between walls and as soon as I reach wall 4, I want it to appear above that I’ve reached the 2nd floor (above there is navigation of buttons to the floors but this can also be achieved by scrolling, I’ve attached a picture). Right now, I have a constant jump and I can’t do a repeat. For each floor change I made its own frame and connected every fourth wall to the next floor and vice versa.

I am trying to set the visibility as a variable because I want to create a filter for my item lists. I saw a tutorial on Youtube that explains that to mimic a filter, one can simply assign a variable to the visibility of the layer and toggle it based on the user input on the drop-down filter. However, when I right-click the visibility icon, Figma registers my action as if I simply left-clicked on it, thus making it disappear instead of opening the menu. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any other right-click works perfectly fine.

Hi there, As a college professor teaching visual design, my question is to the educators. How are you folding in AI into your curriculum? My concern is is that AI will cut into ideation such as sketching and wireframing. Also how can we vet work what was created by AI and not by the student?

Hi all! I have a question regarding the best way to create these types of “processing map”. My team uses the QUEST Tibco’s Nimbus product (if someone is familiar with this product) and basically they have these “parent” maps with instructions, in them there are also linked some child maps that you can click on from the parent one and then it goes to it. You can also attach documents in them, so I’m curious if there is a way of doing the same thing or similar in Figma and what’s the best way. I’m also looking for a way of attaching links and documents and if there is a possibility to hyperlink icons in it. Thank you!
