I was looking at the all plugins list and what I get is some filtering but no sorting. Did the Figma team forget to add it ?
while vertical scrolling, i am seeing a gap at the bottom of the menu bar, between the frame and menu bar, i am able to see the images being scrolled through that gap. Can anyone help?!
Hi, Im struggling to get my component wiring up quite right whilst also firing an overlay, any help for the solution or workaround would be great. I have an input with 3 states, Default, hover and focus. Default > Hover = while hovering Hover > Focus = while pressiing Focus > = onClick (Open Overlay) Then in the prototype, im setting the onClick to open the overlay i want. When im doing this the hover is working and the on press is firing as I can see the added stroke but the click isn’t firing the overlay. It does work however if i set the state on the input to focus straight away. Seems to be getting into a mess when it is going from default to hover to onpress focus all together. Been pulling my hair out so any advice be amazing thanks! Hope supporting images help.
Hello everyone, I am new to Figma coming from XD. I am in the process of creating components in a new project. One of the components contains an image that I have clipping masked at the top. Every time i create a new instance of the component i can change the image but i cannot move the image inside the component! How do i do this? Thank you for your help.
I have been using Figma for over a year but never ran into this problem. All of a sudden my plugins stopped working and I can’t use any plugin. It shows me that I can’t open this plugin in this file but even when I create a new file I can’t open any plugin. Please help.
When I run my prototype in preview or presentation mode it works perfectly fine. But when I try to use using Figma mirror or if I open it on a phone from a link elements are missing, content based on boolean variables doesn’t show, or components reset when they shouldn’t. I can’t figure out what the issue is. I’ve already tried clearing my cache and restarting Figma. I can’t test because of this.
I have only recently started using variables in Figma. I have color variables and tokens set up, and am now in the process of replacing selection colors with the variable colors and tokens I just created. I was able to select all my components and variants and change the selection color with Hex 000000 (or black) with one of my new tokens. It worked wonderfully and I managed to see broad changes applied to almost everything that was Hex 000000 with the token that I named “Color/Surface Primary 2”. However, there are some things (7) that won’t change color no matter how many times I try to replace the selection color with the token color. They will only change color if I select a custom color. They don’t seem to want to respect the token. Instead, I see that the token “Color/Surface Primary 2” gets applied, but the color box still shows as black. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this issue? Please see link for screenshot! The red boxes in the screenshot contain the components/variants th
Hello! does anyone know if this is possible? When i click a value on a certain page in my prototype, the exact same value will appear in another page to show all the values. A new user here! Please help me out!!
In my Figma prototype, I have a sub menu (set to scroll vertically) within a main screen (also set to scroll vertically). The sub menu scrolls and so does the main page, but when the sub menu reaches the top of its scroll frame, it does not assume the main scroll behavior to go up the main page. it comes across as broken to users at the top and bottom of the scroll. How do I fix this?
I am trying to use one of the swatches from this community resource: https://www.figma.com/community/file/1224860994714982753/dotted-canvas-patterns Specifically, the 3rd “light” one from the “textures to copy and paste” page: On the resource’s “mocks” page, the swatches are shown in action, and the spacing is perfectly regular. For ex “Example 04”. However, in my project, I’m getting this uneven spacing at regular vertical intervals: I believe I am using the exact same settings. 50% tiled fill. What could be causing this, and how do I fix it?
Hi guys, So I have a component which has a few buttons inside of it. In the prototype, I want one of the buttons to change to HOVER in the prototype, so I’m using the While Hovering action. The problem is that in the Change To section, I can’t actually control that button inside the parent component, but the parent component itself, which makes absolutely no sense. Is there a way to simply control the button inside the parent component? Thank you kindly, Chris
Hello! I’m a contractor with a paid professional Figma license. I’m working with a company with a tight budget and they added me as an editor to one of their Figma designs. They used the email that is associated to my Figma account but are being charged for a new Editor. This has to be a common scenario for a company to add a contractor with their own account, they shouldn’t be charged by Figma as a separate editor? How does a company add an existing Figma account holder outside of their organization without getting charged?
When I try to publish an updated library, it stops responding when it reaches the infinite spinner with the ‘Publishing Library’ toast message. If I close the library, it shows that none of the updates were published. Same result on Mac app, web app, old UI, new UI. Please help!
Hey team, I’ve been looking into creating responsive icons which brought me to adding the icons as fixed-size auto-layout. It did work adding it to the buttons on a variant level but when I start copying them, the icon doesn’t respond to the adjusted size. Is there any clue how this could be fixed? The one selected within the screenshot should reflect the same one on the right side which works switching it on the main component but doesn’t work if I made the switch on the copy.
Hello. I’m relatively new(ish) to Figma and find it very frustrating. It’s like trying to paint in boxing gloves. Could anyone explain to me how the colour library works? I have three brand colours, each with tints. I set them up as variables and local styles. I cannot export them to another file. Why? Everyone suggests a plugin, so I found one. It doesn’t work. When I want to change the colour of an object via the Fill option, the panel gives me a Libraries panel (Square icons) with a Styles panel at the bottom (circular icons). The Custom tab gives me a colour picker and the Library colours. I can choose the tints from the Library but not in the Styles panel, despite having them set there (via the edit style icon). So my question is. How on earth are you supposed to set and maintain a brand colour palette that you can use on multiple Figma files? Local styles? Make a library and somehow export a JSON file? Eyedrop each time? Guess? What do you think is best practice? Thanks, Will
Hi, I have been working on one of the project for 2 years and since last 2 weeks I am continuously stopped to access my project, my access turns in to ‘View only’ Today, I have been forcefully stoped my access for view only too.
Hi Figam Community! New user here primarily using Figma for design and social graphics. This might be a very, very beginner query, but I’m looking for a general idea on how to “clean up” or smooth out graphics. For example: The image above just feels a bit messy — hard corners, unevenness, etc. I want it to feel a little “loose” and cartoonish, but I feel like there are ways to make it feel a little more real and organic. Any advice? Appreciate you all!
Hi all, I am experiencing an extremely weird (seemingly) prototype behavior and I would like to find out if that could simply be a Figma glitch that will resolve itself in time. I am sorry to say I can’t publicly share the project, but I’ll try to explain. Here’s the setup: A header component (with a burger to show/hide menu) A menu component A wrapper component that wraps the menu and the header components (to deal with responsivity, i.e., to have the menu stretch to the height of the page) The wrapper component is what I use in my screens, and it has two states - menu open and menu closed. Here’s the problem: My homepage has a ‘Button’ (not in the menu) that links to a different screen/frame. My menu has a ‘Home’ button that leads back to home screen/frame. When I press the ‘Button’ for the first time, it simply goes to the respective screen - as expected. When I open the menu and hit ‘Home’, it goes back to home screen - as expected. 3. When I hit the ‘Button’ for the second ti
Hi, I’ve added a few ui kits to my current team space. Then I realized that I can also add libraries from my personal professional team account ––by selecting »Your teams«–– to a current or new file of the other team account. So I’m wondering if the other »Your teams« libraries are only visible for me? Or also visible for other editors?
Hi there, Is there any option to align asterisks in center vertically. Didn’t found any solution of it. Please help. Thanks
I received an email from Figma a few days ago and updated it to UI3. I don’t have an AI feature icon. Will this part be updated next time? (Will it only update the paid plan account?).
I have hundreds and hundreds of small images (600x900) on the canvas. I need to place all of these into individual frames, where the parent fram should be 600x900 and have a reasonable padding that I can add a color to on all frames. In the end I want all pictures centered and in a “fill” setting across all frames. Is there any tool or plugin or trick I can use achieve this without spending hours doing it manually?
Is there a workaround for setting the font size for specific breakpoints within a responsive design? It seems there has been a lot of work put into making designs behave responsively through the use of constraints and auto layout both in design and prototype mode without any thought on how text scales between large desktop and small mobile screen sizes. Framer handles this well by being able to specify font sizes for each breakpoint. It would be great to have this as a native feature in Figma also.
Hello! I’m having trouble figuring out what the addition of having corners showing around a layer panel icon means: I’ve checked the Figma Learn article that includes an index of what each icon means, but this icon state is missing. Thank you in advance! 🙂
I understand it’s Pride Month, but this feels a bit too on-the-nose. I can’t find a setting to turn it off.
