Hi! I manage a team of designers with the professional plan.I’m aware that starting March 18th, a limit will be enforced for the use of AI credits. What does this mean?- Will my users no longer be able to use AI credit-consuming features until the monthly reset?or- Will they be able to use more AI credits than expected, which will then be billed at the end of the month? If so, is there a way to prevent this and limit credit usage?

Hey folksWhen working on freelance projects, I’ve noticed that creating a structured brand system (logo direction, colours, typography, tokens, etc.) often happens while designing in Figma rather than before.I’ve been experimenting with generating a rough starting point upfront — something like:- logo directions- colour palette- typography pairing- basic UI preview- design tokensThe idea is not to replace design, but to start with a structured base before opening Figma.I also made it possible to:- sync tokens directly with Tokens Studio- download all assets as a .zipSo it’s actually usable in a real workflow, not just inspiration.I’m curious how others approach this:→ Do you usually define a system first, or let it emerge while designing?→ Would something like this actually help your workflow,?Would love honest feedback — especially from people doing freelance or early-stage projects.

Library Button say PublishI have published the design system file and have done all the updates in the files whose screens/frames that I want to implement in cursor. Every state or variable we create we update our design system figma file (we have bought Shadcn figma UI Kit and applied our branding guidelines). Now I dont know what im missing please help out. My main goal is to improve agent’s context and code output. I have setup my MCP in cursor but I want to use code connect to further improve.

Hello,I’m running into a permissions issue since Figma restructured its plans and access controls. Our team works with a number of freelancers, and we need to grant them edit access to individual files—without giving them visibility into the rest of our files. Previously, we were able to share a single file with edit access, but now it seems the only option is to upgrade freelancers to a full design seat. Unfortunately, that also gives them Team-level access, which exposes all of our files. Is there a way to give freelancers edit access to just one file without granting broader permissions? This seems like a very basic, necessary feature. Thanks.

Hey there!I’m trying to recreate a design in WebGL and i noticed some textures are using the “COLOR” blend mode. Is there a way to know what’s happening under the hood? Hi everyone,I’ve been struggling with a prototyping issue for several hours and haven’t been able to figure out a solution. Hoping someone here has encountered a similar problem or has a workaround.Setup: I have a button component that contains only an icon (also a component), and the icon is set up to be swappable via instance swap. This button is used inside a navigation component, which has two variants (expanded/collapsed). Each variant is supposed to use a different icon inside the button — a left oriented arrow for expanded state and a right oriented arrow for collapsed state. In design mode, everything works as expected. Switching between the navigation variants shows the correct icon in the button. Problem: In prototype mode, the icon does not change to the right oriented icon when the navigation component switches (via a "Change to" interaction). Question:Is this a known bug or limitation when swapping component instances in nested structures during variant changes in pr

Because of that, I’ve been exploring different ways to make UI presentations more engaging and easier to understand.Some designers use device mockups, others create presentation-style layouts, and some export designs into slides or prototypes.I’m curious how other designers approach this.How do you usually present your UI designs to clients so they understand the idea clearly?Do you present directly from Figma, use mockups, or follow a different workflow?

 Hi everyone,I’m trying to figure out the best way to work with some AI-generated content I created using Figma’s AI tools.What I’d like to do is export those designs into a format that I can either: print, or continue editing outside of the original AI-generated workflow I’m wondering whether anyone here has had success exporting AI-created designs into a format that works well for printing or for further editing.For example, have you found a good way to export them as: PDF SVG PNG another editable format I’d also be interested in knowing whether there are any limitations with layers, text, vectors, or editability after export.Has anyone had luck with this, or found a workflow that works well?Thanks in advance. 

Hello everyone, I’m newish to Figma and need some help creating a template. Mu document has editable text, logos and colours of background boxes that need to be controllable from one Excel/CVS. I tried a few plugins and with the first one I was able to get the text and logos to change, but it didn’t support solids. Then I tried another plugin but this time I could only get the colours and text to change, but not the logos. Is anyone aware of one plugins that could change all those attributes from a single Excel doc? Thanks in advance! :)   

When I draw a straight line, the coordinate of the line remains on the edge even when i set the stroke position to centre. This make it difficult to align perfectly. See this example where I am making a cross. Alignment is imperfect even when I use the align tools. You can see the bounding box of the line is on the edge rather than the centre. Can I fix this?Object aligns to the selection bounding box rather than centre of line. This is the result of align both lines with the position align options. I’m trying to make a perfect cross, this is the result.

As the title says, is Figma for Governements limited to US agencies, or can other countries also opt-in on this plan?

  Both of my projects started showing this warning today while using Figma Make. The warning appears in the console and points to a React issue. Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Any insights or solutions would be appreciated.   

I have been using figma make for over 2 months now, and it had been working great. But in the last 2 days, I am seeing random issues in rendering and crashes in the preview app.For example, my app has a few buttons in the top right (for messaging, notifications, user switcher). Until 3 days ago, these buttons were working fine. but since the last two days, every now and then, the buttons load up as pre-selected, and when I click on them the app freezes (see attached screenshot).I am seeing similar behaviour in other places in the app as well. Reverting to older versions that were previously working has not helped - makes me think that the issue is in some new release of Figma make. Additional context: I am upto version 554 in this app. I wonder whether that has something to do with these recent issues as well. Has anyone else seen similar issues? Any suggestions on what to do to address these issues?

I applied for the Figma Education plan for our school domain (cozum.k12.tr) about 12 days ago but haven't received any response or verification email.We are in the process of rolling out our centralized design environment. We currently use Microsoft A5, Google Workspace, and Adobe Creative Cloud. We urgently need the Figma Enterprise features to set up SAML SSO and SCIM provisioning via Microsoft Entra ID, just like we did with our Canva integration.Without the education verification, we cannot proceed with a secure, centralized deployment for our K-12 students. Could a Figma staff member please look into our application or escalate this to the SheerID/Education team? Hi everyone! I'm trying to simulate two different actions on a single card component. * Short Tap: Should open an overlay. * Long Press: Should change the card to a different variant that reveals two buttons (one to hide the card, and one to cancel/return to the initial variant). I added an "On tap" trigger to the card instance on my canvas to open the overlay. To handle the long press, I'm trying to use "Mouse down" and "Mouse up" inside the Main Component to switch between variants (since I know I can't use "On tap" on both the variant and the instance simultaneously). However, Figma keeps conflicting the triggers, and the prototype is breaking. The actions either override each other or fail silently. Could someone help me understand how the trigger hierarchy actually works between Main Components and Instances? Or, if there's a better workaround to build a component that handles both a short tap and a long press without conflicting? Thanks in advance!

Hello! Recently i find out that when I click Auto Layout, the text doesn't line up perfectly with the center of the shape but remains in place, creating mixed padding. Previously, when using auto-layout, the text would line up perfectly with the center. I have absolutely no idea what went wrong. 

Hello, is the slots update only available to full seat users?

Hi there,I am using the Figma desktop app and on the left hand side I have all my frames in the layers section with the little collapse/expand icons next to each frame. If I expand a frame with lots of items in it and then scrolldown I can’t then collapse it again until I scroll all the way back up to the top, instead of collapsing the little arrow just selects everything in the frame. Is that normal behaviour as it is quite annoying, or have I accidently changed a setting as I am sure it didn’t used to do that.Thanks
