Differences between Design vs. Present / Preview

I’m designing a website in Figma, and my design is built with Auto Layout. I’ve now switched to present mode to test my prototype. However, elements look different in present mode than they do in the design. The layout looks broken in the preview. But in the design, everything is working as it should, including the responsibilities.
