Hi, fellows! While finished a project I have accidentally taped the mode “Prototype” on inappropriate page e.g. UI-Kit. Does anybody know how to turn off that? Unfortunally, I can’t find any button or plugin to remove the prototype mode from page. That thing can mislead colleagues I suppose so I ask to help me, please 🙏

Hello, i’ve been working in a Draft file for the past few days. I kept the browser tab open the whole time since supposedly Figma auto-saves. However, when I was done with my work I went out of my project to view something in the Figma Community page. When I returned to my files page I noticed the thumbnail for the Draft file I was just working on was blank. Then when I clicked on the file, to my horror, everything was blank inside there too as if I had done no work. Even when I go through the version history everything is blank. Please tell me my work is floating around somewhere and can be restored. I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I had to redo it. Please Help!!

In comment when tagging someone, an old memeber who does not have access to file or Figma space keeps showing up. I would like to NOT see this name but cannot find any way how not to. Does anyone have solve this kind of problem?

Hi. I developed a plugin myself. I try to scan all the nodes in the page in design mode: const nodes = selection?.findAll?.() ?? [] The plugin will crash when it I want to get further information about the invisible nodes and the error log is: xxx : The node (instance sublayer or table cell) with id "xxx" does not exist. It seems that the Figma plugin can scan the invisible nodes, but when I want to get some detail information about the nodes, the plugin can’t find them. It works successfully when I restart the plugin or in dev mode(I set skipInvisibleInstanceChildren to false). However, when I reopened the Figma file, it failed again in design mode. I tried this but it also failed: figma.loadAllpagesAsync()

Is it because of that I am non IT background person.I personally find it so difficult to process variable all the condition this and that.

Do you receive the notification that components were updated in a library, after publishing the library? Example: I publish library A. After a few minutes, I receive a notification inside library A saying some components were updated. It seems a case of inception but we get super confused with this.

Managing a design library file. When I add/edit components within, I usually see the little blue dot over the library icon which tells me it recognized that I’ve made changes to publish. I’m no longer seeing that. Which also means I can’t update files upstream that use the library.

This is a super basic question but I can’t seem to crack it. I decided to make my own checkbox because the one I was using in the community wasn’t working for what I need (basically wanted to create master component but it kept getting kicked out because it’s a widget not a component instance). I created my 2 variants (on, off) following a tutorial I found on youtube, and when I went to test it, nothing happened which was unexpected. I’ve searched high and low and reworked it 20 different times and I can’t figure out why my checkbox won’t change on click. Figma – 18 Aug 24

Hey guys, Has the CONTENT title in the selection box always been there? Am I nuts? All of a sudden I find it so distracting. Not saying it’s not useful, but the execution stinks. I’m pretty sure it’s a new thing, I remember I used to see the names of my frames 🙂

I would like to ask for best practice. Apply auto layout like A or B? if A, how do I make sure no spacing in between Navbar and contents? in case accidental drag. if B, I can control the spacing, just apply top padding, but I need to make navbar in absolute which may not be a good solution? Hi Figma Community, I hope everyone is doing well. I’m reaching out here because I’m facing a frustrating issue with my Figma subscription and I’m wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar. Recently, I was surprised to find that my Figma account was charged for 5 seats, even though I only need and use one seat for my work. I’m more than willing to pay for the excellent service Figma provides, but being forced to pay for additional seats that I don’t need feels unfair and unnecessary. I’ve contacted Figma Support to try and resolve this, but I wanted to bring this issue up in the community as well. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, how did you manage to fix it? Any tips on how to prevent this from happening in the future would also be greatly appreciated. I really enjoy using Figma and want to continue supporting the platform, but I hope there’s a solution that doesn’t involve overpaying for services I don’t need. Our team is currently experiencing an issue with accessing Figma’s Dev Mode. We have a situation where our frontend team needs to check design properties such as padding, margin, and spacing. However, they are encountering a restriction that requires full permissions for Dev Mode access, even though they only need to view these properties and not make any edits. Given that we are on a $15 plan, we expected that our frontend team could access Dev Mode for property inspection without requiring additional permissions. Could anyone provide guidance on: Why Dev Mode access is restricted to users with full permissions, even for property checking? If there is an alternative way for our frontend team to view these design properties without needing full edit permissions? Are there any settings or adjustments we can make to facilitate this process? Your assistance and insights on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Today, I was working on projects via my Figma account with the company I work for and a project from my personal account (another email address) showed up in my work “Recents.” This is problematic as I cannot have people from work viewing my personal projects. I am not the owner of my work Figma account, so I don’t know if other team members can see my “Recents” or if this is personalized to me.

It doesn’t matter what font it is, if it is not a font that comes by default in Windows 11 it gives me the same problem. I try to use a new font or one with weight variants, install it, restart Figma and it recognizes it. But when I restart the PC it stops recognizing it and asks me to install it AGAIN. This only happens to me with Figma, the rest of the programs do not have this problem, I have tried reinstalling the app, completely deleting its data from the PC (registry) and reinstalling it, updating the PC, but nothing works. All I have to do is reinstall the same font each time to keep working. I have seen people with similar problems, but the moderators usually close the forum with the typical phrase of “read our (unproductive) guide to solve this type of problem”, so the request for help goes to the community that has also gone through this and maybe you know how I could fix it. Howdy Figpeople! I am trying to create an interactive dropdown menu and I am experiencing an issue where I have a text frame and the icon (using material symbols plugin). I want the text to be aligned LEFT and TOP and BOTTOM, but I need the icon to be RIGHT and TOP and BOTTOM. Additionally, I want to change the icon in the variant to be 180 of the original. Here are my examples: I have figured out most of the alignment issues (I think), but it is not allowing me to select the icon frame OR the icon itself and turn it 180. Here are my layers: And this is what the alignment section looks like when I have either the icon or the icon frame selected: Notice, it does not allow me to configure the rotation. I’m really hoping someone can help me with this. I am SO close to creating reusable dropdown components and this is my last little issue. Thanks in advance!!!

Is it possible to have a toggle that plays/mutes the audio of a video when both are within a component? I have successfully made this work when the video is on the page as an asset and only the toggle button is a component. But now I have both within a component (which I need to animate it) the toggle will not work. A play/pause the video toggle will work if I make the video itself clickable - if that matters at all. Hey guys, I’m experiencing a weird bug on hover in the prototype. The hover on the instance in the beginning (of the video) and the one in the end is rooting to the same component. Everything is exactly the same apart from some properties. The one in the end works perfectly but the one in the beginning messes up completely. Without hover they work so it’s clearly the problem. But the hover settings are exactly the same. I tried everything, nothing solved it so far. Anybody experienced this bug?

Figma is getting close to follow the process of development implementation, components are missing a quite important property - being able to receive children. Having to pack an icon component with hundreds of icons, and hide all of them except the one needed (afaik this is the way) is quite far from dynamic, and how it works in development. Hi, we need to apply justification to every lines on a paragraph (including the last one). You see we are used to have those options in Illustrator: Justify with the last line to the left Justify with the last line centred Justify with the last line to the right Justify with the last line justified as well But Figma only seems to support - Justify with the last line to the left. Did we miss something or it’s a known limitation in Figma ? Is there a work around that exists ? Thanks !
