Hi,I'm trying to build a prototype using Figma Make from a number of screens I have.For example, I have a project with a large number of screens, and I want to create a prototype for it. I started with 3 screens.Normal screen (closed menu), a screen with a pop-up, and a screen with an open menuEvery time I insert screens into Figma Make it changes my design completely.When I try to be specific (for example, make the buttons in a system of hover and selected states) Figma Make deletes all the screen content and makes me a style for 3 buttons... I want a prototype with style.When I ask to restore the content that was deleted for me, it returns, but without the previous request.When I tried to simply insert one screen, it finally uploaded my screen as it is. But all the buttons are distorted, out of the frame. Everything is messy :(I have components, I have titles, I have layer names. It seems like I have what I need.What am I doi

Recently figma updated rate-limits, and i need orientation/insights on how to handle the implication of that in my project.So, our project used figma REST API to extract a JSON and images from design journeys on figma. Using that, we validate a series of internal rules on how to develop screens journeys for our organization.The thing is, this solution is used by a lot of designers , and they dont have the dev mode or a seat that allows them to make more than 6 requisitions/month (and they need way more than that).The only solution for that would be run the application on a personal token that has a higher seat? Or is there a way that i can upgrade the rate-limit of the application itself? All designers that use this application making a seat-upgrade would bring us much cost. I’m trying to understand if i have any alternatives here. I saw something about the API Tier having different rate-limits. Is that something i can work with or change? Maybe ch

I’m feeling like an idiot. I’m on a professional plan, but I can’t find any invoices in my email and I can’t find anyplace in the Figma site to download previous invoices. This should be easy…been looking for 15 minutes and can’t find anything.

When I started prototype, all text layers changed into placeholder, and it keep glitching. I don’t know why :/Does anyone encounter this issue? 

Day 1 using FigmaI just want to use Figma Slides right now … and trying to get used to it vs Keynote.I understand how to hide the whole UI.But I want to hide JUST the right hand margin of slide - as the working space is so small compared to Keynote - which is an issue working on a 13inch laptop -anyone help please?Thanks

Hello! I have a question regarding my use of the Figma Education Plan as a university professor. While attempting to use the new AI tool with Figma Sites, I encountered two issues: The AI tool wouldn't work on figma sites (it’s like blocked); When I published a site, I was not given the option to set a custom domain. I contacted Figma’s chatbot, and it responded with this message:"Figma Sites is available for higher education or bootcamp Education users, but not for K-12 users. If you're a higher education student or bootcamp participant, you should have access to custom domains."However, I still don’t have access to this feature.Can anyone provide further guidance on this?

Hi,I am making changes to my Figma Github Repo using Claude Code Web - but it seems to not have the ability to pull from Github, Is this correct? If so, what is the best workaround for this?

Hello forum! So the default hotkeys for bringing to front and sanding to back, as moving layers above or below or other layers, are ] and [.And bringing forward and sending backward, as moving layers on one position abore or below other layers, are ctrl + ] and ctrl + [ key combinations.My issue is that I use second option, that is moving layers by one step much more often, so it would be much easier if that would be just ] or [, without also pressing ctrl key.Is there a way to switch those functions or hotkeys for those functions in Figma? Am I the only one having such an issue?Thank you

Anyone ever used figma make? especially until finish it and try to deploy?I’m tried to download generated code from figma make and deployed it to github and vercel. It is doesnt work, seems because the structure is not common. now I still host the website in figma but connect it to a new domain. my question is, does figma make code able to deployed and continue the development as functional website? or it is just mare prototype? does figma has plan to make it website builder like lovable or V0?I also trying to implement Google Analytics, but despite Figma Make's reported implementation using the provided script, GA testing consistently failsany help will really appreciated, thanks!

Hello forum!Is there a way to enable showing line height in pixels by default? By default it shows in percents and I don’t find in really convient, I would much rather just see it in pixels by default or were able to switch it somewhere

I’ve noticed that when I make changes to a main component, some overrides in its instances don’t update as expected. This is causing inconsistencies in my designs, and I’m not sure if it’s a bug or something I’m missing in the workflow. Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips on keeping component updates consistent across all instances would be really helpful.

Hello, I am pretty new on Figma and I am learning via online course.I just started with the topic smart animate and I tried to animate an arrow that is fading in. It works, like I follow the both rules, have the arrow on two different pages (included) and also they both have the same name. It works fine, but as soon as I try to change the design of the “start” arrow a little bit, let’s say it is bigger than the “end” arrow so that it sizes down, the animation doesnt work anymore. I hope you understand my problem… maybe someone has an idea here? Arrows both have the same name, they are both imbedded on their appropriate layer page.The grey to black fade in works, but not the change of the form, as soon as I change the form of the left arrow, the animation doesnt work anymore. 

In the keynote, the left navigation is mostly discussed in tandem with the “extended collections” feature, which I believe is only available to enterprise. However, I’m interested in the new, full screen variables panel that’s included with the new left nav panel since it makes it much easier to get a complete picture of a design system token set. Is this UI element going to be rolled out to everyone, or only enterprise users? If yes, when’s the target roll out?

I’m trying to the enterprise package, to get this I have to contact sales which I have done 3 times now but no response. Can anyone help with this? I’m trying to get this done asap and its proving to be quite a tedious process.  

Why I don't have figma AI tool after one year? how should I get it?

In the desktop version of Figma, ALL the images have disappeared from ALL my projects. The frames are still there, but they are empty. However, everything is working fine in the browser version. I've tried restarting, uninstalling, and reinstalling Figma, but nothing has worked. Has anyone encountered a similar issue?

How do you sync the changes being done in one copy of the screen to other copies on different pages? I tried making the component out of screen but then it loses it’s floating name on the top left.

So, variables are one of the most important functionalities in Figma, but the plugin API doesn’t help developers when it comes to variables, basically, there is no way for an open plugin to know when a user create, remove, reorder, or edit a variable or variable collection. Even though, this is possible with styles, which are less important and common than variables.If the document change event doesn’t include variable changes, then how an open plugin is supposed to get this information?Why variable changes haven’t been added to the document change event until now?@James_Yang I mentioned you as I always find you answers insightful​   

When using the regular workspace in Figma, I have access to plugins.   Like the QT export plugin. I created a UI using the AI Make tool but the plugins are not avilable in that workspace.   How can I move the UI Created in Make to the regular workspace so I have access to the plugin?   Is taking a screen shot of it and opening it in regular Figma the best option? Thank you.  New to Figma here.

In our case, midway through the project we reviewed how larger teams work, especially those from a blockchain development company USA perspective, and we adapted some of their processes. Simple things like mandatory peer review, using CI pipelines, and keeping clear documentation made a huge difference even for a small team.
