Hello There,

I accidentally approved a full seat and on the spot I noticed and removed it but the amount is already added to my bill .. Tried to contact figma for that but no response .. also I read this is very common mistake with no additional confirmation that needs figma to add extra security before proceeding.

Hey @Aya Kabudan, thanks for reaching out!

I can see you've already got a ticket open with us (Ticket #1948940) and we'll be following up on the billing side of things there.

In the meantime, here's what you can do right now to manage that accidental seat:

Since the seat has already been added to your bill, it'll remain on your plan until the next renewal. But you can free it up so it's available for someone else to use for the rest of your subscription period.

  • Change the developer's seat to a free View seat, this gives them view and comment access only across Figma Design, FigJam, and Figma Slides, and releases the Full seat back into your pool
  • Remove the user from the team (Professional plan), same result, the seat becomes available again

Then, when it's time for your next renewal:

  • Annual plan: you'll see a "Review seats" banner 30 days before renewal, that's your window to reduce the seat count
  • Monthly Professional plan: you can adjust seats at any time, and unassigned seats won't roll over to the next month

For more detail on all of this, Manage seats in Figma is a great reference.

Keep an eye on Ticket #1948940 for an update on the billing question, we'll be in touch there. Let me know if anything else comes up in the meantime!

Thank you, but there is a huge delay in support reply.

I already removed the person once I accepted his full seat request and directly contacted figma support.
