transfer my paid pro plan to another account

Here is my set up:

Account 1 ( = email 1) 

  • team A + pro plan 

Account 2 ( = email 2)

  • team B + edu plan
  • team C + free plan

I need to keep those 3 types of plan (for education purposes) but i would like to consolidate my accounts and keep the 2 (bc it gives me access to the edu plan). I would like the team A to make it to the secund account. I know how to move the files BUT i feel like i can’t move the paid plan… Any ideas??

This is a great question, and I can see why this setup feels a bit tangled. Let me walk through what's possible.

First, a few clarifications:

  • Team transfers require the receiving account to be on an Organization or Enterprise plan, so moving Team A as a whole into Account 2 isn't an option with the Education plan in place.
  • Project transfers have a similar restriction — the receiving account needs to be on a Professional, Organization, or Enterprise plan to accept one. Since Account 2 is on the Education plan, it wouldn't be eligible to receive a project transfer either.

The good news, you can still move your files over manually. Here's the approach:

  1. For each file in Team A, go to Main menu → File → Save a local copy to download a .fig file.
  2. Log into Account 2 and import those files via Main menu → Import.

⚠️ The main trade-off is that version history and comments won't carry over with this method — just the file content itself. If preserving that history is important, it's worth knowing upfront. For additional context, have a look at this resource: Transfer a project or team to a different account.
