We have a Figma plugin where we can drag&drop images from the plugin to the Figma canva, and everything works fine on it, but on Windows the ‘disallow’ icon always appears as soon as we start dragging the icon into the Figma canva. If I drop the image, everything works fine, but the fact that the ‘disallow’ icon appears is super misleading. On macOs, this icon doesn’t appear. I’ve tried searching for this on the forum. But can’t seem to find exactly my problem. As shown in the title. The dropdown for properties only shows my Default. Here’s a picture: Can anyone see what I’ve done wrong to not get the other two options to prototype it? Thanks…

Hey there, I’m working on drag-and-drop functionality for my icon library plugin Phosphor Icons, and thanks to an excellent demo from jackiecorn on GitHub, it’s working beautifully. But there are a few pain points I was hoping the Figma developers could address: In order to compute the canvas position of a dropped element, you have to do some hand-wavy math to figure out if the UI (sidebars and toolbars) are visible, and factor that in to your insertion coordinates. It would be super helpful if the API exposed a way to determine whether the UI was visible, and if so, what size they are. Or even better, a translation of plugin coordinate-space to canvas coordinate-space. The canvas does not appear to accept drop events from drag initiated in a plugin window (drop is handled through the Figma API, but the cursor always appears as not-allowed). It would improve the discoverability for plugin users if it could appear as a copy or move cursor: Thanks for all the work you all put

By default, when I present in Figma slides, the main presentation appears on my laptop screen and the presenter notes appear on my secondary monitor. I’d actually like to swap this around so my presenter notes go on my laptop screen and the main presentation goes on my secondary screen. This is so I can always stare at the presenter’s notes (that also includes the slides as well) while always appearing to look at the camera rather than look above me at my presenter’s notes.

Hi community, I need your help fixing a component / generally just wrapping my head around auto-layout. For some reason it just does not make a lot of sense to me so I stumble in to getting the interactions I need from autolayout. 😅 In this component, I want the container of the “card” to hug so that when the bottom row (where it starts with “john smith”) of information is hidden, the card hugs up to the next level of visible information. I’d also like the middle row of the data (the Lorem ipsum column of text) to push the card down regardless of the bottom text area). What do I need to do in order to fix either of these interactions? on a desktop frame i have a 12 row grid system when i center align my content , then go to present mode it offsets all me content and isn’t centered

if I have upgraded my account to professional and after a month stop using the professional account and get back to free, do I lose my projects that were built in the professional account?

I’ve been struggling with this for a while. I’m working on a chart where I want to use a toggle to switch between different views (e.g., Days, Weeks, Months). I created three different chart variants called LineDays3, LineWeeks3, and LineMonths3. In each chart variant, I added an action that changes a variable when clicked (as shown in the images below). LineDays3: LineWeeks3: LineMonths3: The prototype only works on the first click. For example, if the default view is LineDays3, it works when I click on either Weeks or Months. However, after that first action, the prototype stops working. I’m not sure what the issue is. 😢

It’s just a normal and simple tab with “Change to” interaction. It never happened to me before, is it a bug from Figma?

Hi everyone, not sure if you’re getting the same issue but recently the ‘Present’ tab in Figma Desktop has a bug. When you create a standard desktop layout and then view the layout by selecting the ‘Present’ mode you will see white borders on the left and right hand sides. So in effective the layout is not reaching 100% of the screen as it should do. To view any desktop layout design where it fills the screen in ‘Present’ mode you need to change the width from 1440px to 1470px. Figma has not fixed this issue in 6 months. Just be aware. Quite lousy of the software team not to have fixed this after I’ve contacted them 9 times with no reply. Thanks everyone, hope it helps.

Hi, I’ve seen that this has happened to a couple of people, and I was shocked to see that instead of being charged $15 for my monthly seat, I was charged for 7 seats (that’s $120+ USD). I really need a refund since I did not authorize these extra charges, and right now I can’t afford this. I need help from support. I have already requested a refund, and my ticket is currently pending. Has anyone with this issue been able to successfully file for a refund? Any advice or assistance from the community would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

Hello I have a problem exporting the Jpg files, they export in a very bad quality, although the import was in a high quality + in settings i have high quality tick set Previously (around a month ago) I had no problems with exporting files and their quality maybe smn knows what to do?

However, even after we’ve ended the collaboration, they can still access our designs through the link, which is really annoying. Another issue is that although the link can be set to read-only mode, this only applies to the web. If the person has a Figma account, they can still copy the content from the link and paste it into their own project! ！This means our designs could potentially be stolen.

a component with auto layout works perfectly as expected (expandable side menu) but when i use an instance of it in design it doesn’t expand like the main component, it acts differently by plugging the content without expanding the whole menu. in the video attached: first record is the screen with main component while second record is the instance.

Hi, I created a parent component that has several child components. I want to duplicate the parent component and make specific changes to it without affecting the current child components. However, I want these new changes to apply to a different set of child components. Is it possible to detach the second set of child components from the original parent, attach them to the duplicated parent, and have the changes to the duplicated parent apply only to the second set of child components?

I was just presenting with Figma Slides today in Present + Notes mode, and while it was working fine much of the time, a few times the Present slides completely refused to change at the same time as I was going through the slides in the Notes window. I had to restart Figma completely twice in the presentation just to be able to move forward. Not a great experience! Is this a known issue?

Hi. For the user testing session, I need an app prototype and another prototype that simulates USB device to be linked together. In the way that buttons in app will trigger interaction on the “device” flow and vice versa, is this possible at all in figma? These should be run on two separate devices one on desktop and another on mobile.

Hello Figma team, I’m writing to express my growing frustration regarding two significant overcharges on my account that have yet to be addressed. In August, I was charged $212.00 for my personal Figma Professional Account. After noticing the discrepancy, I promptly opened a support ticket but received no response. Now, in September, I’ve been charged $257.00, and despite opening another ticket, there has still been no communication from customer support. As a frequent user of Figma, I’ve always enjoyed the product and its features, but this lack of response is deeply disappointing. To prevent further issues, I’ve canceled my account until these overcharges can be resolved. I’m reaching out here because, unfortunately, it seems that support inquiries only receive attention when raised publicly. I would appreciate it if someone could look into this matter urgently, as this is a billing error that needs immediate correction. Thank you in advance for your prompt attention to this issue.

Hey! I’m getting a message once I open Figma saying “You can’t access this resource. Contact the owner, an admin, or support for assistance.” But it’s my account and I’m the only one on it? Has anyone had this issue before? I have client work on there that I can no longer access or even view the document - I just get a grey screen with the above message.
