I used to use copying part of the kanvas via context menu (Copy as - Copy as PNG) or hotkeys, which was very convenient. After a recent update only editors can copy - a notification appears.

I’ve been designing for a while now - no issues involved. But this has been an emerging problem recently. All my frames seem to be scaled down on prototype mode on the top left corner of its device. Mobile Image 1: Frame on editor mode Image 2: Frame on prototype mode (doesn’t fit the device) Desktop Image 1: Frame on editor mode Image 2: Frame on prototype mode (doesn’t fit the device) This problem seems to affect my previously existing projects that didn’t have an issue before.

Hi, I am using variables for the radio buttons, reaction (sad and clap emoji) and quiz questions. Each quiz question has three radio buttons. Based on the selection, I want to show emojis by using variables and after few seconds the screen should move to the next question. The problem is that when it navigates to the second page then it shows the radio button selection made on the first Q1 page. The expected behaviour is to see all radio buttons unselected when navigated to the second page.

I have been using this software to post work related jobs. I import photos taken from my iPhone and edit them. Recently, I got an error that the HEIC file failed to import…file not recognized or failed to convert. I recently also upgraded phones to the 16 Pro Max. This morning, I found a picture taken from my 15 pro max and imported correctly. Both files are the same resolution. The older picture size is 1.22 MB. The new photo size is 1.46MB. I have tried the desktop and also web browser with the same results. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help.

I’m trying to find the option to combine components as variants in the new UI, but for some reason it doesn’t appear. Can you tell me where I can find the option please? Thanks

I waited the verification email for new account, but don’t receive it. I checked it in the inbox and junk, but don’t receive it. I clicked on the “Let’s resend it”, but i don’t get any email verification button and email from Figma . Please check this issue and let me know how to fix it.

When I simply use the component instance on its own, I can change between its variants and text keeps its changes, as you can see in the video at the start. However, when I instance the button in another component, and change the button’s text in an instance of that component, the text resets if I change the button’s variant in the component. The text layers in both variants are identical. Same structure, same name, same text. I even tried tying them both to the same text property with no luck. Anyone knows what’s going on? Afaik the layers are supposed to maintain their changes between variants if they are identical. facing issue regarding Figma Professional plan upgrade.

When selecting layers while holding down CMD-key, as I remember it, Figma would select all layers that were completely covered by my selection marquee. And only those layers. In some recent version this seems to have changed so that Figma selects any individual layers as long as any part of any layer is merely touching the selection marquee… Can someone confirm if this change in the marquee selection is a fact? I prefer the version where only layers completely covered by the marquee become selected when holding down CMD / Ctrl - key. I think it allows for very precise selections with quick gestures, which I now find lacking with the selection behaviour change. Is there still a way to do this more precise type of selection in Figma? I’ve been trying to use some modifier keys to look for behaviour changes in selection but with no luck… Thanks.

I’m using variables to control with width of table columns and I can’t seem to find a way to easily edit this value from the sidebar. Is there any way to do this without having to escape the frame and open up the variables manager and then hunt for the variable I want to edit? I would have thought I could click on this variable and there would be some way to then edit it?

Hey guys, I have one issue when it comes to variables. One of our colleagues has copied some of the elements from another design system and now we got their variables and we can not remove them. P.S. The components that were imported were immediately removed, but the variables seems to be left inside the Figma. We use only this type of variables, but if I go to the developer mode in the playground, I will get this result Does anyone know where they come from and how to get rid of them? We use “Starter” Figma plan in our company, and I don’t have an access to Figma AI tools. Is it planned to provide an access to Figma AI tools for “Starter” plan users? If yes, when can we expect this? In this article, FAQ regarding Figma AI says: Can you add me to the Figma AI beta? Figma AI is rolling out gradually while in beta. If you are on an Organization or Enterprise plan, please speak with your admin or Figma account representative. Does it mean, if our company will switch “Starter” plan to “Organization” or “Enterprise” plan, we could gain an access to Figma AI tools right away, even if we haven’t sent a request to join “UI3+AI waitlist” ?

Hello! My colleagues and I are unable to see one particular element, but our designer can still view it and hasn’t been able to fix the issue. We don’t understand why we can’t see the element.

Adding annotations to my handover to dev, and I want to add annotations to the main frame/component frame. Ideally I want to connect it to the box blur(effect) property added to the frame. Is there any way? If not, would love the ability do add annotation to main frame 🙏

Description of problem: Assigning auto-layout to a component, with the “hug” property and padding, is broken. Component doesn’t resize to the proper size, taking padding into account. In addition, the content inside isn’t “sticky” to the autolayout like it should be, thus you can drag it manually wherever you want, and it doesn’t snap back into place. SOLUTION TO TRY Select the content frame within the problematic component Drag it around (this shouldn’t be possible in auto-layout, but that is part of the bug) [Optional: “Undo” (command + z), so that your content frame is back in its original position before dragging - this fix does still works when you “undo”] “Absolute Position” button will have “selected itself” Deselect “Absolute Position” button = The issues should resolve themselves (i.e. component will resize properly and content will not be draggable), assuming you have the same problems you’re trying to solve.

For the past few weeks my team and I have been noticing this issue where we apply auto layout to a set of items and one of the items will randomly take absolute position property by default. Then you have to go digging around in your layer panel to find which item took the absolute position and turn it off in order for the auto layout to order things as expected (the way it was working previously). Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it?

How can I delete version history? Right now the option to delete version info can not be selected.
