Every time i run Dev mode for like the last two weeks, the application freezes and can be frozen forever

I am sometimes unable to tag 2 users in comments. When I type the name in the comment box, it doesn’t come up as a link. How can I fix this? It works in some files but not others. One example: I created a new Figjam, set Permissions to “anyone at my org can Edit”, then tagged 1 team member without issues, but another would not show up in the list even though this user is taggable in other files.

I have 2 texts - short one and a long one. The long one must start from the same, first line, and then continue below it as it were one text block (sample 1). I got as far as adding “paragraph indent” to the second node from sample 2, creating “static” solution. Is there a way to create auto-layout ie if I edit first text, the second one moves back or forth accordingly?

My development team has an issue where they are unable to export a frame that has a image as a fill, more specifically when that frame has other elements, like text or icons on top of that image. How should I set up my frames so that the background image and the text that are overlayed on top are not exported together as one?

Hi all. We have quite extensive UI Figma library that our organization is using. Before, for organizing the components that we have, we used to have subcategories inside our folders. For example, in “Icons” page we categorized everything by intent, to help users navigate all the icons that we have. Same with “Actions” for example, we have “Actions” page, in which we names the components in a way that they would be represented as folders in assets panel. Let’s say “Button”, and inside the folder we would list different skins exposed, as from usability that we did, we noticed it was easier to consume it like that for our designers, instead of have these properties nested inside. Is there any way to expose these subcategories in folders again? Appreciate all the help!

Hi Guys, can any one help me to fix Input Dropdown. I have created a separate component for the Input Dropdown using variant. Issue When clicking input box. The dropdown came back of the below input box. Its in auto layout, but in group, dropdown comes front. I will attach image for the reference.

For some reason, I have been limited to the access on my own personal file I was working on, was completely fine yesterday and a few days ago up until this morning. I looked through my chrome history and used the Figma file link I was using yesterday and for some reason, it says ‘Request for access’ for my own file, this is happening to multiple of my files and not sure why. Any guidance would be amazing, thanks.

First the file I was working on has vanished. I was thrown out of the file editor while editing(on a chrome tab open from several days). I am not able to find the file in my drafts or elesewhere. No when I am trying to open the file link through my chrome history, Its saying “Request for access” for my own file. Help solve this as I am in very big trouble with this file and contents are absolutely important and urgent.

I have a page with 3 text sections that can expand to show more text. Each section has an expand icon. I’ve set the components variants so that clicking the icon toggles between the open / closed state of each section, so I have a prototype with 3 sections that the user can expand / collapse separately. Is there a way to create a prototype interaction where clicking the icon on a specific section not only expands that section, but also collapses all other open sections? Thank you in advance 🤓

Basically the title. I am in a college affiliated to one of the universities (which is listed in the Figma education university list), but since my college is not listed, I do not think my verification will be approved, (tried 4-5 times, it fails every time even though I have all the valid proof, admission form which says the name of the university listed, still it fails every time), I am a college grad and my graduation will end by july 2025, I think I deserve to get the Figma Education. What can I do?

I’ve recently been brought back by a company I did work for before and was given access again to the old files to edit them, when I look at the team list I see myself listed as “can edit,” however whenever I actually open any of the files it has the “Edit File” button on the bottom bar and it’s telling me to request access. What makes it even stranger is I see an admin listed for requesting edit access that is no longer with the company and they don’t actually show up on the full team list of active members, it’s almost like the file itself is pulling from an old team list. What is going on with this?

How can I make a container/button open and expand from the top left? I can’t seem to find an example, but basically, if you look at a button, I’d want to be able to click that button and have it turn into a bigger container that takes up the entire width of the page and open from the top left. Help!

My question is, if I choose the professional plan, by paying only $15.00, can I still share the same account with another person? That way, both of us could use the professional features. Hi! With the new Figma update I can’t find these three icons (screenshot) for the text box, does someone know where to find them?

I created a Figma slide deck based on the default “Basic/Light” template. I customized the font styles (e.g., Title, Header 1, Header 2), replacing the default “Inter” font with a different typeface. After making these changes, I published the modified deck as a new template. Here’s where things get weird: 4a.When I create a new deck using the “Use in new deck” option from the published template, the deck appears in Drafts with my custom text styles intact (Title, Header 1, Header 2, etc.). 4b. However, if I create a new deck directly from the template gallery, the font styles are labeled as “Custom” rather than the original names (Title, Header 1, Header 2, etc.). It seems like the custom text styles aren’t being fully retained when published, causing inconsistent behavior between methods 4a and 4b.

I’m mocking up a flow of a process which contains accordions that should be conditionally expanded or collapsed based on what step the user is in the process. I know the easy way to do this is to create a screen for each step of the process with the relevant accordions manually changed to their collapsed or expanded states, but it would be lovely if there was a way to do this via variables. Ex: if a component is meant to shown on step 1, then its expanded/collapsed boolean would be tied to a conditional. Something along the lines of “If processStep = 1, show. Else, hide.” And so on for all the other components.

Recently I have major issues with component instances not being rendered correctly. Every other component instance is rendered incorrectly upon opening the file. To fix the problem I have to click into every instance, which seems to correctify it but is a major painpoint since I have hundreds or thousends of instances all over different files. This means I have no idea if the handoff to the programmer is actually correct since I don’t know which instances are incorrect or if they are rendered properly or not on the different devices.

I wonder if there is a way to reset a particular overridden property from the list returned by calling the overrides property. I see the resetOverrides method. However it resets all of them while I need to drop only one particular override. Essentially, I need to do the same thing shown on the screenshot below (reset size), only via plugin code. It it possible?
