Unable to view the library color styles only in the Variable window, but I can access see the Library Color Styles everywhere else except Variable Window. Please let me know what could be the cause or shall I re-install Figma as the current update seems not working properly

I had a Figma Organization account when we had enough number of teams. But now we have shrink down our team number and currently we only require Professional plan. So, is it possible to downgrade from Organization plan to a Professional Plan?

Hi all! I’m having an issue where I have a component instance ( horizontal cards list with auto-layout) and when detaching the component, the sizes of the child items sometimes grows to an exponential width, sometimes size looks like they are OK, but they are nowhere to be find. Fiddling with the layer manually to adjust size, hug/fill or anything else, I cannot retrieve the layers. It’s lost in the Figma ether lol… Unlinking the component multiple times in a row with different outcome everytime (unlink - undo - unlink - undo …) : Screen Recording 2024-10-21 at 2.31.43 PM It’s not the first time I encounter this and I cannot understand why it happens or how to fix it… Anyone have an idea? How can I link my student account to my personal account?

I use Figma as my online portfolio. It needs a lot of artwork and GIF files to show. I don’t know what kind of file’s property should be perfect to put in Figma. I sometimes check my prototype site and it needs extra time to show my artwork on the prototype. Is it related to artwork file size? If so, how can I get a small file size with high-quality artwork? (I normally use artwork that was exported from Illustrator, I try to “save for web” but it shows lower quality artwork than I expected) for existing topics before posting! Hi there, I am in the same boat. My professional plan already expired and I lost a few Design boards that are critical to upcoming campaigns (in less than 2 weeks). If I re-upgrade my plan, will those files reappear?

I am developing a little Figma plugin using the Plugin API. I am working with a TextNode withing a Component. The component has a TEXT proprety configured. I am tring to link the content of the text node to the value of the component’s proprety using the API Below is the exact UI functionality that I am aiming for. Hi. I received a message that my education plan will expire in 12 days and I will lose access to all my files and teams. How I can move them to Drafts? Can you clarify what team or teams will be lost? And how can I move them to drafts that I will not lose access to? I now see two teams, in one I see all my Drafts for the entire time I have used Figma, and in the other I do not see a single one. What should I do to not lose access to all 170 Drafts?

Hello, recently my laptop broke and all the files that were on it are gone with it my google account was lost and I’m unable to recover it. I filled the support form and put in an email I could be reached on (3 days ago) but I still haven’t received anything, with the forum I attached a screen shot of one of the designs I had on the lost account. please help, thank you.

I’m trying to use “filler/dummy” elements to give dimensions to groups but they are always removed from SVG exports if I give them transparent fills or strokes. For example, I’ve noticed that figma’s 3-point stars are not centered: You’ll see that the star object is selected here, but the center of the bounding box is not in the correct place. My strategy here is to add a blank square in the group so that the surrounding group has the correct center: The problem here is that SVG exports are doing some sort of optimization to remove any shape that is not visible. If I had a stroke with a low opacity, the element is included in the export but I want to avoid that because that color can potentially be visible in the export. The reason I’m doing all of this is so that animations I do on the shape are centered around the correct point. While the 3-point star being off-centered, is one problem, the main thing I’m looking to solve is the fact that this filler object is getting removed. I ha

Hi everyone, At the company I work at, the design system has been growing over the last couple years. We’re currently trying to determine the best way to manage and organise larger illustration images ( in SVG format) in our design system so they can work with components of different sizes So far, I’ve found two approaches Defining fixed sizes for each illustration component as variables. (I.e. each illustration will have an XS, S, M… etc size variable) Using a single illustration and resizing the illustration manually when placed inside another component, without maintaining a set of consistent sizes. Across both of these methods I’ve seen design systems using different formats (usually a square and a wide format) Which methods do you think works best for organising illustrations? We are concerned if we go with the fixed sizes approach, we’ll end up with a unruly amount of sizes where we need different sizes as we introduce new components. Would appreciate any help here!

Hello everyone, I’ve recently encountered a very frustrating issue while using Figma. On macOS 15.1 (version 24b5009i), using the PingFang font in Figma documents causes the application to freeze, and the font cannot be recognized. I’ve tried common solutions like clearing the cache and restarting the device, but nothing has worked. I’m currently using Figma version 124.2.9. Notably, using Figma in a browser does not cause freezing, but it still shows a missing font warning and fails to recognize the PingFang font. Has anyone else experienced a similar issue? Or does anyone have effective solutions to recommend? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Looking forward to your replies. Thank you!

Hey, I recently updated some text styles and tried to publish them, but I keep encountering this error: “Unable to publish 6 changes to the Team Library.” Also, neither of the affected text styles can be applied anymore. Has anyone else faced this issue or know how to fix it? Thank you 🙂

Hi there, I need to print a banner (100x250cm), using some design elements previously built on Figma. I am exporting the assets in .svg or .pdf, but when I open them in Illustrator, some elements are missing, rounded corners and shadows disappear, everything in the layers structure is very messy. Does anyone has tips on how printing design elements from Figma, with a proper printing set-up (bleed, CMYK, etc.)< Thanks in advance!!

Hello, This might be a dummy question but I am new to Figma. I have a card footer containing 3 elements : a data source, a phone number and a button. I would like the data source to be left aligned while I want the phone number and the button to be right aligned. Do you have any idea of how to get this behavior ? I am running into a weird behavior with variables and components not reflecting variables changes. My current file structure is as following: Theme, published library with variables. Components, published library with components using variables from the Theme file. Design file, using components from Component library. The issue: If I use a component from Components somewhere, it shows the variable that’s latest as “Components” library knows them, not as they are in the “Theme” library. Here, I created “Blue” as #FFF originally, applied it to the button in Components file and published. Then I placed the “Button” component in “Theme” file and changed Blue to #5A92E5 and published the Theme, but the button still shows it as #FFF and kinda separate from the “real” blue. Despite literally being in same file where “Blue” variable is defined, but now showing its blue and Theme blue as two separate options in dropdown?. So I need to go to Components, update it with changes from Theme, the
