I’m working on updating an existing app to allow iOS and Android to increase text size via each operating systems’ accessibility settings. I found iOS Dynamic Type Scale plugin for iOS and AndroidTextView (In Chinese?) for Android. Does anyone know of another Figma plug in for both mobile platforms that is dynamic so that i can move a slider similar to each platform and be able to see the changes? Or is there a tool outside of Figma. My google searches aren’t coming up with anything other than what I’ve already mentioned.

EDIT: This trick I found here helped. I wonder if this still is the simplest way to achieve this? I’ve set auto-layout that would first have few icons, username and then long message where next line of text would start at the left edge of the container like the blue outline shows. Is this even possible?

Looking for a way to retain the filter settings when I download activity reports (aka “Get CSV” from the Admin panel). Filtering the information by events/activity works great in the tool. However, to do some analysis re specific events/actions taken over time, it would be helpful to be able to download a file that mimics what I see online instead of a .csv file that contains all events. It might be ok for small shops but not for large organizations. If someone has figured it out, please let me know. And if it’s not feasible yet, please show some love to admins, Figma, and introduce features to make our life a bit easier too.

Hi, I’m new to Figma and have been making a budgeting app. For the wallet section of my app I wanted it to be almost like apple pay whereby when you select a card or rotate it to the next the previous card falls back into the deck. However I have no idea how to do this and no youtube video or google search has helped me with this problem.

Dear community, I searched a lot here but didn’t find an answer at least with kind of reasonable actuality. So sorry if I just didn’t find the right place with discussion or answer. Situation: We have a pro plan with a team and a project within, which now needs to be moved into a new enterprise level organisation at client side. The project consists of a bunch of project files with the layouts + one global public library file. All components in all project files are using this one library file. If I do a “Copy project” transfer, I am loosing branches, comments and also the links to the components in the central library. Is it correct, that I will NOT loose all the component links to the global library file, when I transfer the project with “Transfer” instead of copy? The project is huge and it would be a great problem, if we would loose all connections. So when it will not work, please shout out and tell me how I can solve this 🙂 Thanks a lot in advance.

Hi, I’m working on a slide deck with lots of video content and send for review every few days. what is happening is that after a few days of detailed edits, the share link URL will change so that anyone who had it before needs a new link. opening the ORIGINAL link will send you to a blank “slide 0 of 24” without a way to move forward to slide 1. refreshing the page won’t unlock it, you have to press the Restart button in the bottom right to access, which is very unintuitive (especially for folks unfamiliar with slides) is there a way to preserve the URL link so that it doesn’t change over the life of the slide deck? I don’t like having to send new links to colleagues and prospects for the same deck.

Has anyone else experienced Figma prototypes not saving settings? I’ve unchecked ‘Show Hotspot Hints’ and every time I re-open the prototype, it is checked again. Is this a known bug? Is there a work-around?

Hello, I’m working on a plugin for changing collection modes. Using figma.teamLibrary.getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync() I get the available collections, but they are not returned as collection objects, therefore I can not use them with setExplicitVariableModeForCollection directly, as far as I can tell. Since that requires a collection object. Furthermore the getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync() only provides the library keys and not an ID. What is the actual logical way to go about this? Considering my library is not a local library that I want to change a mode for. Thank you.

I was on a monthly subscription, but it suddenly changed to a yearly subscription. I’d like to know why this suddenly happened and will it be changed back to a monthly subscription?

In the new UI 13 I love the taskbar at the bottom of the screen! But it keeps compacting to just 3 icons. This means for all practical purposes Figma is unusable. 🥵 Help! How can I get my Figma back ? I need to carry on using it. 😅2024-10-17T23:00:00Z

Currently, when we publish updates, we can see that components have been modified, but there’s no clear indication of what specifically changed. It would be extremely helpful to have a feature that lets us compare changes and highlight differences before publishing. Many design systems must be struggling with this! In large, collaborative environments, we need better visibility into what’s being updated—real change logs with notes, version numbers, etc., for both designers and developers. With branching, we can review changes before merging, so why can’t we compare what a component looked like before versus its new modifications—such as variable (token) updates? The same applies to variables (tokens) and their usage. Figma’s current functionality feels limited, particularly because it lacks analytics. How can I turn on the toolbar so that it is on top? I have it from the bottom and it’s not convenient.

Why are my images exporting with white sides? I’m trying to export a bunch of images all the same size 350x400 but some of them are appearing smaller when exported as they have either a line of white on the side or the bottom or both. I’ve checked that they are all the same dimensions and they are so I’m confused.

Hi, I have spent the last two days just to add a border around my website frame because when I used the Border plugin it opened a tiny black window saying “Border” with a X on the right and that was the only functionality the controller window had! Despite deleting and re-running? I added 4 rectangles 5px wide around the frame. All good! Then I copied it to other tabs (other website pages) And it worked fine until the 4th page where I can see the white 5px border but it is completely unelectable denote no padlock. I have tried every setting like ungrouping etc (in which the border elements were still not visible) and yet here they are and I can’t figure out how to delete them and try again with the previous copy and paste of the 4 elements? When I hover over the white border line it highlights the whole frame named “Home?” The question is why? I simply copy and pasted. I did not embed it or play around with any settings that might have cause this to become part of the the Home frame? A

I bought a pack that contains some Assets I need, but the file is 300+MB and when I Drag or open on file browser it just keeps on getting stuck on “importing file” and it’s been an hour and still importing… I tried restarting still no go. I’m using the App for mac btw

Hello everyone, I have been sorting hundreds of stickies today in FigJam and it seems I have hit the limits today. I can’t sort stickies anymore and it keeps showing me this message “can’t sort stickies right now – wait a bit before trying again”. My question is – is there a limit? If there is a limit, how long do I need to wait until I can use the sorting feature again? Thanks!

I noticed some differences between how padding is shown in Figma’s Auto Layout and other layout systems like PhotonUI (BoxLayout - PhotonUI ). It versus the concept I more familiar with, as demonstrated by the second screenshot. Has anyone else encountered confusion explaining this to others? Any tips for making the distinction clearer?

Problem: I’m looking for a more efficient method to swap multiple components simultaneously, potentially using a shortcut or a plugin. Question: Is there a way to quickly replace multiple components in Figma with components from a library, without having to manually edit each one individually?

I’ve created a component set in one Figma file and want to use it in another file for client review. However, when I update the components in the original file, the changes aren’t automatically reflected in the second file. Problem: I’m looking for a way to share and reuse components between files without having to manually update them each time. Is there a more efficient method or a workaround for this?
