Adding annotations to my handover to dev, and I want to add annotations to the main frame/component frame. Ideally I want to connect it to the box blur(effect) property added to the frame. Is there any way? If not, would love the ability do add annotation to main frame 🙏

Description of problem: Assigning auto-layout to a component, with the “hug” property and padding, is broken. Component doesn’t resize to the proper size, taking padding into account. In addition, the content inside isn’t “sticky” to the autolayout like it should be, thus you can drag it manually wherever you want, and it doesn’t snap back into place. SOLUTION TO TRY Select the content frame within the problematic component Drag it around (this shouldn’t be possible in auto-layout, but that is part of the bug) [Optional: “Undo” (command + z), so that your content frame is back in its original position before dragging - this fix does still works when you “undo”] “Absolute Position” button will have “selected itself” Deselect “Absolute Position” button = The issues should resolve themselves (i.e. component will resize properly and content will not be draggable), assuming you have the same problems you’re trying to solve.

For the past few weeks my team and I have been noticing this issue where we apply auto layout to a set of items and one of the items will randomly take absolute position property by default. Then you have to go digging around in your layer panel to find which item took the absolute position and turn it off in order for the auto layout to order things as expected (the way it was working previously). Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it?

How can I delete version history? Right now the option to delete version info can not be selected.

Hi, Since UI3 I have trouble re-ordering the list of properties in a Variant. See example below: Sometimes the properties won’t change and I don’t think there is an alternative way to do it? Thanks!

I still can not access Figma UI3 Update + Ai from anywhere, however Figma announced that it is officially released on October 10,2024. So why it is not updating on my Figma app?pper right to search.

When i try to grab and move an object, it moves normally up and down, but the movement is inverted to the sides (moving the mouse to the right moves the element to the left). I don’t know if this is a feature, and if so, how do i change it to move where i move my mouse?

A Figma Noob here (Literally i started using Figma about a week or less(am also a noob on UI/UX design)) I´m creating an add to cart function. i have a Main component “Product card” and a main component “Add remove buttons” this component has a number to display the amount of items per click between to the + icon and the - icon. I´ve added a duplicate version of the add&remove component to the dupe product card and change some of the properties of the elements in the cards (images, titles, prices) to match each individual item, so i have a burguer, nachos, tacos, you get the point, each with its price and whatever.The basic idea is that when a user clicks on a product card the items are added to the cart and the number of items per card is display on the screen., the thing is that i do not undertand why when i duplicate the components and click on the plus button, the number increses on every card, i´ve tried to detatch the instance and no success. i´ve followed some youtube tutor

The ability to decide which sides of a square or rectangle have been removed. I would like to confirm if its a glitch on my end or if it is intentional.

The interactive variants are not displaying the overrides I set, when presenting Component A has variant named hover. The component contains dates, so I change the date in the components default variant, and also in the hover variant. When I change between the two in editor, the date override sticks. But when I present, the hover variant, resets to the default date text. Shouldn’t it stick?

Hello Everyone! I was checking out the Figma devmode tutorial and noticed that when the person in the video inspected a button, an actual code snippet with functions popped up from github. Does devmode provide code snippets and functions, or is it restricted to css and styling? How can I create a rectangle with text and have the code turn out as an actual <button like in html?

How can you load all the version history at once? I want to be able to see when the first edit to the project file was and in some cases I have to click “Load more” up to 30 - 50 times before seeing that. Is there an easier way to just load all history?

I’m searching for Figma plugins that can efficiently replace applied color styles with color variables throughout my file, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. Has anyone encountered a plugin that automates this process?

I’ve looked to see if the Text is part of a layer or something, it’s not. I just tried again after rebooting Figma and I selected the Text tool and wrote “yyy” but there is still no Font Setting? (yyy text not shown in this image) Cheers for any help!

Context: I have created a few component (1,2,3) and then create a menu component (component A) using the previous components (1,2,3). Component 1, 2, and 3 has 2 variants each - false and true (Drop down - Close and Open) I have selected the variant false (drop down-close) as default variants for Component 1, 2, and 3. In the prototype, I have connected the drop down items of Component 1, 2, and 3 to different pages. Problem: Now when I am checking the variants behavior in preview or present mode, the dropdown items are not redirecting to the connected frame, please help.

I have an element that needs to have select/unselect capability. I have created a variable called elementSelected. It’s initially set to false, and the element is unselected. This is what I’ve done in the prototype settings: The first time i click on element, the “elementSelected” variable switches to true, and my element changes its state to its selected state. However, once I click on the element again, nothing happens it doesn’t get unselected (its state doesn’t change). Additionally, this is a mobile prototype, and the second click starts acting like I’m dragging instead of just clicking. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

So I have a school project to make a website design that I decided to work with my friend. But recently he sent me a screenshot about all of our work’s layers turned into this ‘vector’ thing that I don’t know what it is (picture included) . I am still new to Figma so I don’t really understand what happened, wonder if someone knew what we were doing wrong? It’s probably just our stupidity, I guess we just needs a simple fix…
