When I create this auto-layout, the image comes in front of the text. If I push it to the back, it also moves to the left of the text. Hello, I tried to contact Support directly for assistance here, but every time I do an error appears. I’m leaving the Team and wish to transfer ownership to another Admin/user of the Team. I’ve tried following the instructions on this page: https://help.figma.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039481134-Transfer-ownership-of-a-team When I open the Team in Figma, I only see “People” instead of “Members” and when I select the user’s profile, I’m only able to revoke or add their admin permissions, not transfer the ownership permissions to their account. Please note that I am the current owner of this team. Can the documentation be updated and the feature be added correctly? Kind Regards, Gonzalo

I’ve received a link to a Figma file from another team. The problem is that the link came in a chat related to a certain meeting that occurred last week, so as time goes on it’s only going to get harder and harder to find that link. I want to somehow bookmark this file so I can return to it quickly. Hitting a few roadblocks… I can only view this file in two ways: Inside the actual file, and from the search results page. I don’t know which project this file lives in and I don’t know how to find that out. There doesn’t appear to be such a thing as “favorites” anymore. I can click the “add to favorites” options from either of these views, but nothing happens. I have no favorites section in my sidebar and I can’t figure out how to get one. There’s no way to “star” these files from either of these views, which is usually how I bookmark files. Adding to favorites does not add it to my “starred” files section. I cannot drag the file from the search results to my “starred” files section. A

Hi! So I have an icon-button that can optionally show a tooltip on hover. At the moment, I have the tooltip component nested inside of the button component, to make prototyping easier. There are two obvious problems with this: The tooltip to one position (if I need it to display above instead of below, I have to suppress the tooltip that was included with the button, and then put an extra tooltip on my screen). And of course I have a lot of hidden layers in my file. I couldn’t find much info on whether it’s actually bad practice to include the tooltip inside the trigger component or not. The alternative would be to just keep the button and the tooltip separate, and manually place them on the screen together to spec it to dev. But this of course makes prototyping a real pain when you have a lot of buttons on the screen and each one of them should have a tooltip on hover. What is everyone else doing?

I selected the option to publish our library only to our team (Amsterdam Design System Team), expecting only the files in our team would be affected by this publish. But all the other teams in our organisation (Gemeente Amsterdam) got the updates as well… I’m confused. Did I misunderstand this option to publish to Team/Organisation?

Slides remix colour feature is adding the colours white and black to my document’s colours. If i start a new document with a background and a shape, remix can shuffle endlessly between the correct colours. If i add text and hit remix it will eventually (usually on click 3 or 4) add black or white. This is more pronounced on other templates, where it will add in all kinds of crazy colours that do not appear in the colour library. This is very annoying!

Hi, the design team at my company is on an organization plan and we need to extend access to a specific file to some people (developers and designers) with varying levels of access (some view only, some edit, some dev mode). I have already used the Share button to give view and edit access…my questions are: If these folks already have their own Figma Design subscription, will we need to also pay for them to have editor seats in our organization? If these folks already have their own Dev Mode subscription, will we need to also pay for their dev mode seats in our organization? I assume the answer to both of those is “no”, otherwise Figma would/could be charging two different people for the same access which would seem highly dubious and generally uncharacteristic of how I view Figma. But am I correct?

I have a blank frame. If I try to draw rectangle it is immediately offset to a new position when I start drawing. How can I turn off this feature? Note: This problem is for online only. It does not occur on the PC (desktop) version. In the photo, when I start to draw rectangle 2 my cursor is at the lower left-hand corner of rectangle 1. Then it is immediately offset.

I’m trying to get a title text line to wrap at the end of a text input field box while keeping an icon anchored to the right of it. The text either doesnt wrap, or the icon and the text have a huge space between them. Please help!

Hello Community, To test out a concept, I sketched out a basic website page on my ipad using pencil and uploaded it Figma. The sketch has multiple components - a signup button, subscribe button etc. Since I have uploaded the image, I can only set the prototype in a way that whole image takes me to the next page. However, what I want is to be able to click on the signup button inside my image, and take the user to the signup page. I know I could have just done the design in Figma in the first place, but I want to know that if I am sketching designs on an app in Ipad/any other tablet, does Figma allow me to split buttons in the image into components, which I can choose to be clickable to take to different pages? For eg, I only uploaded one image, but if I could make the sign up button clickable, that would go to the signup page. In the same image, if I could make the subscribe button clickable, it would go to a different page to the signup page. Thanks for your help.

The desktop app has suddenly become so laggy, zooming in moves at almost 1 frame/sec. I have a GPU but Figma surprisingly ignores it and runs on the inbuilt CPU i have tried everything to solve this but nothing i have windows 10. I even installed the whole set up again after deleting it multiple times. The app entirely flashes out and screen goes black. Hello forum, I’m experiencing a strange bug when resizing the first column of the variables window. This is happening on the Figma app on a mac. The variable names have their strings separated and end up looking like their names have spaces within them. The following picture is a screen shot of the problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix for this? When editing the variable name there are no spaces within the variable string. Thank you for any help.

I currently have limited access to my own team, but need to expand my permissions. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to find out which account on our team is listed as Admin. Is there any way to find this for myself?

So I created a header dropdown menu, and the frame size of each asset or component is very large and sometimes overlaps the menu frames of other assets. How do I resize the frame assets?

The Figma API cannot complete the graph of objects for an account. There is no endpoint to list the teams which a user belongs to. Without this the rest of the endpoint cannot be reached without getting a teamId, projectId, or fileKey from an external source. Providing a traversable graph is a basic function of any REST API and without the API is basically useless for most scenarios.

Hello, I am also being gaslit by my Figma file. I opened it one day and a lot of things are in bold. And because some of the text styles are intentionally bold and some are not, I cannot Blanket Cmd+B the Frame, because while it un-bolds the ones that were not intentional, it messes up the ones that are intentional. This (B) is what I see applied to the style (on each individual Regular Small style)

If I install an updated version of a font, I have to do the following to update all the text to reflect the newest version of the font: Reload the tab for the file in question. Double-click each and every text box that uses the font. Is there a workaround to having to do Step 2? Perhaps an as-is regex find-and-replace (style-based)? Or better yet, would it be simple to write a script or extension that goes through every text box in a file and updates it? Does such an extensions already exist? Thanks in advance.

Our team has encountered a recurring issue with image exports. While the export preview shows the image perfectly centered, the exported PNG or JPG files (the only formats supported in our app) sometimes appear slightly off-center.
