Hello everyone, I have a question: is it possible for a user to be just a “viewer” of the design system but still reference it in their mockups as an editor? I would like a specific user to be able to use the design system in their work without running the risk of them modifying the design system.

Hi, I am currently unable to download Figma on my laptop (Microsoft Surface Laptop) and I keep getting this error pop up. I have tried all the methods, updating windows, downloading the installer from Figma website, disabling firewall but to no avail. Please help

Hello! I’m using Web version of Figma and when i’m running prototype there are some lines (I attached a photo). I think it may be related to slicing method i used. Artifacts appear only on slised png. The problem also exists when i’m using the app for desctop(OS Windows), on another PCs and phones (i have alredy checked on differents Iphones). The sliced pieces of png have even number of pixels in height and width. Is there a way to apply keybinds in Figma to functions in the plugin interface? I would like to create my own prefabricated elements that are supplemented with additional information when they are created, preferably with keybinds.

I removed and changed a number of colour variables in my Library, but they won’t update in any of the files the library is linked in. I’ve restarted Figma, updated, tried everything I can, but I can’t seem to resolve this issue! How I updated the naming conventions (previously there were 10 values for each numbered 50, 100, 200, etc.): It’s showing me that it should be updated with no further changes in each of the linked files: Yet in the overview it’s still showing the 10 values for each colour… …and the new values aren’t showing up in the right panel. Please help!!

Some functions that don’t appear in the menu cannot have shortcuts assigned to them. However, I came up with an alternative method. By using the keyboard shortcut Command+K, you can bring up the search box. Once the required function is entered, you can activate it. Then, on macOS, you can use a script to help automate this workflow and trigger it with a single click. Is it possible to set a max text width for specific text styles in Figma (e.g., body text) to maintain legibility? I want to prevent team members from creating overly long lines of text, which can be hard to read. If there’s no direct way, does anyone have a workaround or best practice to achieve this

Imagine a Figma page with thousands of text layers inside many frames. It will take half a day to select all those texts individually and Cntrl+A works only for a single frame. Is it possible to select each and every text element in that page. Im asking this because, all the text got strikethoughed and we dont know how it happened.

Anyone else finding that Figma is getting choppier and less performant on Intel macs? I have a perfectly working machine that’s been running fine for a good amount of time. But in the last 6 months I’ve found that Figma has become more laggy and slower to update things on the canvas. Am I alone, anyone else finding this?

Everytime I add an instance from the asset community, it will not allow me to edit the size without removing it from my frame. Then, I cannot add it back into my frame to be used in my design. Specifically, I’m looking for APIs that allow for the following actions: Create (Provision) - Programmatically adding new users to our Figma organization. Read (List/Get Details) - Fetching a list of users and their details from our organization. Update - Updating user account details such as roles, permissions, or other attributes. Delete (Deprovision) - Removing users from our Figma organization. I am aware of the SCIM API functionality for user provisioning and deprovisioning, but I am interested in direct API calls that could be used without SCIM, preferably RESTful endpoints that we can interact with using standard HTTP methods. Hi! Is it possible to add a functionality where I first create an empty Layer and then I draw or paste objects on it? Right now on paste, the new Layer is created to an expected position among the existing Layers and I need to move it manually to the place I need it to be. Thank you very much.

Since the last version of Figma desktop for Windows, the desktop app is not working - I cannot log it (clicking on “login with browser” opens the browser, but does not actually allow my to login, it stay the same “login with browser” even when clicking on login) How can I install an older version of Figma desktop?

I’m creating a prototype for a certification I’m doing and whenever I try to test my prototype, a little icon shows up out of nowhere. I’ve looked EVERYWHERE in my project file - even going layer to layer - and to be honest I’m kinda going insane with this.
