Hey ya’ll, I’m working in Figma slides, and adding a live prototype. Here’s what happens: I open the prototype I want from my file, and retrieve the shareable link. The link is not restricted to anyone or anything. I paste the link in my Figma slides. It loads correctly, and has the correct journey selected in the prototype editor in Figma Slides (on the right-hand side, where you can change the prototype). Next, when I go to presentation mode, and click to load the prototype on the slide. It loads the incorrect page. It loads the first page (which is just a cover thumbnail). Please help!

Not sure if anyone can help, but I’ve been pulling my hair out all day. I’m working on a website prototype in Figma where one of the sections is sticky which contains 3 blocks of content half way down the page. It all works as expected until I clip the content on the Services-section frame so everything isn’t visible on the design. Then nothing seems to work correctly at all. I can just about get the 3 blocks to stick, but then the prototype gets locked almost on that section and can’t scroll down or up.  Yet if I leave the frame uncliped it works perfectly.   

Hey Figma team, The automatic addition of a design seat (for which I get billed for) without any warning or alert is a dark pattern I really wish you’d resolve. I pay for a pro account annually and get billed for an extra seat anytime I share a file with anyone else using the blue “Share” button. Viewers (not editors) get automatically added as full seats. I thought the whole point of Figma is to share files easily so other people can view the work you’re doing without editting. Your UX guides people to use the Share button to show projects to other team members who do not need to have access to Figma — just to view it. But to the actual subscriber it auto adds an extra design seat without warning and bills you at the end of the month. This is unacceptable IMO. Am I missing something completely? Or what is the correct flow to share files and progress to with others - artboard exports? Thank you,

I am setting up a Design System and I was wondering if it’s really necessary to create all these Variant e.g. for a Tab Bar or other Components that have a different amount of Items that should be controlled through the properties. Do you maybe got any other best practices for that? I’d just love to make everything a bit thinner that there are not soo many different Variants needed. 

Hi, I am facing issue 404 error since dec 2024 in my peer review graded assignments due to which it's not getting submitted . I cleared the cache, tried in different browser even tried in incognito mode but still getting same result. In the end I reached out to the support team for help but instead of fixing 404 issue they are asking me to fix the code which I do not have access to. The issue has not yet been resolved. They told me to go to VS CODE, JUPYTER NOTEBOOK or R and fix the code. I am not understanding why they are asking me to do this. Anyway I gave up on them as I requested them so many times but no-one seems to be interested in solving my issue. If anyone know how to fix Kindly help. I am rescheduling my date because of that.

Hi, I have found similar entries about the topic but I still did not figure out what the problem is. I want to upload a Figma project on behance and integrate a Figma prototype. But it is always saying the my embed code is not valid. I went to my Figma prototype and clicked on share. There I set it on visible for everyone and clicked on the embed code. I copied it and went on behance. There I started a new project and clicked on the prototype button where I pasted the embed link. It is an iframe link. But it is always saying that the code is invalid. Does anyone know what the problem still could be? Im having an issue creating a carousel in this project file - for reason when i check it in present mode it the carousel doesnt work? Please can someone assist me on this  Here is the project file

Hi there,I’m taking part in a course in Figma and as a part of it we sometimes work together in a file and we post our work on tasks in a board where all the participants see who did what.It has been 3 times already that someone deletes my work, I am able to restore it with Version History, but can’t see who did it (ofcourse no one is speaking up and admitting to be doing it repeatedly by accident or malice). Is there a way for me to find out?It’s really starting to annoy me.

Any time I set an element to be fixed, it disappears in the prototype mode. It’s not below the fold line, so it doesn’t have any reason to not appear.

Hi there!Not so long ago we switch our components in Design System from Color Styles to Variables Colors. However, after publishing changes and updating design files, I still can see Color Styles in our components instead of Variables in design files. I assume, It’s because of overrides made by previous designer, but there are way too much mismatches for a just overrides.  First screenshot is from our Design System, where we switch to Variables, so it’s trueThe second one is from Design File with Color Styles Can you help please?Thanks

Hello! Our company has paid for a one-year subscription using the "Professional team" tariff. But the workspace is still blocked. When we try to edit, a window pop up that requires update our payment source. Could you please tell me what it might mean? How can we unblock figma, provided that that we have a paid subscription?

I’m experiencing a strange issue with a Figma file where I’m the original owner. The file is showing an error stating it’s an "Unassigned Drafts File." Upon checking the file’s access permissions, everyone, including myself, is shown as having "View Only" access, despite me being the actual owner. Since the file is marked as having no owner, I’m unable to edit or make any changes to it.

I started a course in December on UI/UX using Figma. I applied for a student account and whiles applying the time I gave for ending the course is January but I'm halfway through the course. Can I reapply for the student account after my student account expires? 

I have created rows and if user select any row basis on that counter will run and delete button will apear. My query is If i selected any row then by clicking on the delete button how can delete a row and counter should change into - (decreasing form).kindly help me.

Hi everyone, just a curious with some feature, in front end side we can do some logic with max and min width using media query in css, like example i want [A] element only show in 580px viewport, but [B] element will show if user viewport more than or equal 580px/590px can achieve this condition in figma? and how?

I couldn’t figure this out but I keep running into this and figured I’d ask.Let’s say I have a component like an accordion with a title, description, and arrow icon.Today, I can add a boolean property like “Is Open” that will show/hide the accordion content as well as text properties and then finally I know I can do an instance swap on the arrow for up and down.However, I’d like the arrow icon to be automatic since you should never have a disconnected “open” state with an arrow indicating closed and vice versa.Is there a way to say, for example, if boolean is FALSE I want true (i.e. in code !isOpen) to show/hide the right arrow? then I could have two layers of arrows (up and down) and then one is shown and other is hidden and vice versa when you toggle.If not any other methods to do this or do I need an entirely new variation just to flip the arrow icon in my example? An entirely new variation for that seemed overkill.

Here’s the Situation:We’re on an Organization Plan.We have a small subsiduary company that was working independently from us with a Professional plan.As we are going to have them start using our Design System Libraries, we want to transfer their projects and some of their accounts to our Organization plan. As they are also using Figma for a few different projects, they want to keep the Professional plan and some of their accounts. (The accounts do not overlap)Unfortunately it’s very unclear to me what the best way to do this is.First of all, there seem to be 2 different types of Teams:If I go to the Team dropdown and choose “create new” it tells me I’m creating a Team, and I am asked to choose a plan. So this would be a new account. But this Team would not have access to my current team’s Libraries… right?  If I go to the “All teams” tab under my current team, I can easily add a Team, which essentially is a folder with access permissions. (And in this new team I can add projects)Questi

I’ve been trying to edit a font style in Figma and the changes are not applying.  How can I get it to work?I’ve edited the font multiple times, and don’t see the change reflected in my selected instance or other instances. I’ve tried quitting and restarting. I’ve also tried applying a different text style, but the font doesn’t change then either.  

Hi Figma community, My team created a select input a few months ago with a nested dropdown component within it. This allowed for the dropdown to having a varying amount of options. We prototyped the select component to show the interaction of the select from pre-input, hover, click-in and, post-input. This was working smoothly up until a month ago. Now, when we try to change the amount of options or the label text in the dropdown menu, the component reverts back the default state in prototyping mode. Any thoughts on resolving this issue would be appreciated! EDIT:Trying to figure out how to upload a video illustrating what is happening to help explain what is happening.

My problem is that when I try to export it as SVG, Figma responds with: “This file has run out of browser memory. Your work isn’t lost, but you won’t be able to use this file unless memory usage is reduced. In recovery mode, you can access tools and tips to reduce memory usage and continue using the file safely”. After this, I have looked at how much % of memory I am using and I get that I only use 8%, unlike other posts that have a similar error where the % reaches 65% or more. As a result of some testing, if I try to export it as a different file (JPG, PNG or PDF) it gives no problem. Only when I try to export it as SVG. As a last detail, I am using Chrome, on MAC.
