Hello I’m not able to select ‘on click’ in my prototype. It needs to open an overlay when clicking on a button. The default interaction is ‘on tab’ which I don’t want it to be. Does anyone know this problem and how to solve it?  

How can i create a scroll-changing header that remains fixed on top while scrolling, and can be applied to multiple pages.

Ive created a Bottom Navigation bar and after setting it normal none scrollable frame there isnt an issue but when i apply it to a long frame where i have to scroll vertically, just after i apply fixed (Stay in place) when i play in prototyope the bar bounces to middle of the frame and back after clicking on the icons.Can someone please help me with this as it keeps occuring for me everytime or is there any hack to avoid this?

Hi, I hope someone can help me. We recently moved from Adobe XD to Figma because Adobe abandoned the software. We have many files and boards that we need to transfer from XD to Figma. I’ve tried the Covertify plugin, which brings the pages across broken and I also tried contacting Magicul for more information about their service, but I didn’t get a response and their social reviews are negative. Has anyone had any success transferring files and boards from XD to Figma? If so, how did you do it? Thanks in advance.

Hi, I seem to have run into an issue with variable mode switching - here’s the issue:my design system has a set of around 300 variables for 4 different services and in the main library I am able to switch between these 4 ones on components just fine. However, now I wanted to create a collection of variables in a different file (where the main library is attached) and I want to be able to get the assets from my main library and switch it between the modes defined in main library BUT also between the modes in the new collection created in the local.I may add that all the colour, text, … variables are different for each service value-wise but they are defined by the same name: same goes for the newly created file - the names matchIs there a solution or a workaround that’s worked for you or anything you can recommend? Hi everyone, We recently created a design system where every component is its own library and the people in the organisation needs to enable that library in order to use the component. However, we also show our design system through an online service and allow user to access the component files (view only) clicking on the file. Therefor we give the following access: It then says “Everyone at (organisation) can access this file”, BUT, when they want to enable the component from shared libraries it doesn’t show up in the list. It only shows up if we have the following setting: “Anyone at (organisation”, instead of “Anyone with a link”. Why does this setting give more access to the organisation? What is the difference here? The problem with this setting is we cannot give access (view only) to people that want to view the component file from the online service. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi everyone,I'm working on a Figma plugin using variables, and I've encountered an issue with variable binding information on instances. Here's my situation: For a component (the main/original component) that has its characters property bound to a string variable, I can successfully retrieve the binding details. For example, using: node.boundVariables['characters'] returns an object with binding information (including the variable alias). Then, using await figma.variables.getVariableByIdAsync(variableId), I can get the variable details (and see a variableDetails structure, including the variable ID and mode-specific values). However, when I create an instance of that component and bind its characters property to a variable, the resulting instance's characters property resolves to the overridden string value (e.g., "Share Link Open") and the boundVariables object does not include a key for "characters". In other words, I cannot see the variable binding details (or the variable ID) fo

Hi Figma team, I’m writing because I desperately want to keep using Figma at my organization which is dealing with sensitive information and cannot allow cloud-based apps anymore. Not working with Figma is like sending us to the Stone Age. I know your official policy on this topic, but please, reconsider! We need to keep doing amazing stuff through your amazing tool that is continuously innovating within our industry. (How can we turn back and use another tool that’s not supporting variables and Dev Mode the way you do?) Hopefully, there’s a solution at some point! Thank you!

So I’ve come across a few instance-override-issues in the forum but I believe this one is new 😅 So, I’ve got a instance for my headlines and for some reason it doesn’t let me change it’s text. This worked until recently tho! Take a look, I believe it’s easier to understand that way: If I go to the master comp and copy and paste it it works just fine! Just when I copy the/one instance again it stops working… So I’ve got a work-around, but still it’s a bit annoying not being able to just copy the instance again but having to go to the master comp and copy it instead… Any suggestions why that is? 🙃 Thanks in advance to anyone 👍

Good day! I ran into a problem at work. When transferring a layout for demonstration to 3 out of 5 colleagues in Figma, the layout is displayed incorrectly. Hello.Is there a size or data capacity limit when exporting?I was concerned that some of my exports were exported at a reduced size than the original size.

For the past number of weeks, I’ve had issues exporting in Figma. I have to refresh the page every time in order to export any files. When I click File>Export, it has all the frames selected, and not just the one or two frames that I’d like to export. I had no issues until I updated my arc browser recently. Has any one else been running into these issues?

I'm having a little problem making a sticky element so that it is at the bottom of the screen when scrolling until it reaches the end of the auto-layout it is in.I have this block diagram, and I'd like to get an effect where the green button is scrolled and pinned to the bottom of the screen until it reaches the end of the auto-layout (Section 2 in the picture) in which it is located.Anyone have any ideas on how to do this? I did the sticky at the top of the screen with no problem, but with the version at the bottom I have a little problem :) 

Hi everyone Figma file I’ve been editing for months as file owner. Now I can’t seem to be able to edit it. I can’t click on any item on the screen, only on item menus and menus, but none of the design stuff. Please can someone help me urgently? thank you!

First I created a component of the Description header and paragraph text and then I added in the calendar. Whenever i select the component the square only goes around the text part. I unchecked and then checked the clip content box and nothing works.   At the first the purble box was going over the “Event Managment” also in the beginning but i was trying to fix it to go over the calendar too but it didnt work and made it now go less.I know i could start over on this component but i thought about it and there going to be times where i create a component and then i might want add something to the original component like a calendar icon for this example. So I want know how to create a component correctly and add in something correctly and when i select the component the purple square goes over the whole thing.

When I assign an action to a nested instance in a component which sets a variable it doesn’t seem to work. The component’s variant changes, but the variable is never changed. There are no warnings or errors. When assigning the same action to the outer component it does set the variables. An example:Figma – 26 Jun 23 This somehow feels related to the following limitation: Variables can only be applied to top-level instances, and are not available for nested variant instances. On Figma it looks like without thin lines. But when i view it in browser it looks like this, there is some lines appearing: How can i hide the lines?
