Hello people,I want to pop-up a sticky top bar when we scroll down. Question is how can i do that!? I will add screenshots for you to understandWhen I scroll;First Page  

Today, while changing the theme of the component, I noticed that the element is mirrored. If you extract a light or dark element from a component and change the theme, it is mirrored. Then I noticed that for some reason the left component and all its components are at rotation of 180. This is strange because I copied the 2nd field from the previous one, they were identical. I changed the rotation from 180 to 0 and… it didn’t change anything. Now (as it was) I have 2 identical fields, but they are mirrored when changing the theme. I can’t change it even if I change the switch type. I don’t want to rebuild because there are over 100 dialogs attached to this component. What is happening and how to solve the problem? Everything was fine before that. I can attach this file with this broken element (it work the same way independent of the file), but the style has been changed because of NDA.

Issue: Open overlay resets parent frame scroll position, even tho it is not checked. (Only new state prototype ones are scrolling up) That’s it, as simple as that. I don’t know why.

Hi community! Has it happened to you that this image (attached) appears in your prototypes when you open a link outside of Figma? How can I skip this screen and go directly to where I want? Thanks!

Is there any plugin to get text from figma with font style and paste somewhere (like.notepad, social media username inputs, google docs) else with the same font style like fancy font generators?

When the user enters this subpage, the first project should be at active/hover state and the images shown below should be linked to this project. After hovering project 02, this one changes to active/hover state and the images below are updated.Image 02 and 03 are my current interactions linked to every project.The problem is, that I want the active/hover state ONLY to be changed (&& the images to be updated) when the mouse enters a new project and NOT when the mouse leaves one project (for example to the whitespace above). That means the last hovered project should stay active as long as the

I can outline and flatten but it results in overlapping line still. Here’s an example. The K here is in outline view. I outlined the font then flattened but this isn’t really flattened like I’d expect (or expect in other vector programs) which is just outlining the stroke not overlapping like this. I can only attach one image it looks like but if you just type a K in illustrator and do outline youll see what I would expect. Is there a way to not create these complex outlines since they can cause scaling and export issues across platforms.

I am trying to build a plugin, with aws cognito as auth system. As I can’t access `wndow` object I have to make localized sign-in sign-out experience. For this I need to store few env variables like app id, client id, etc.I am using vite and preact https://github.com/mryechkin/figma-vite for building this, and when I build this using vite, it exposes my env variables when I inspect element. Is there a way to store them, so they are private?

Hey everyone! I'm having trouble with my dropdown prototype in Figma and hoping someone can help.I have a dropdown component with two states:Default (collapsed state) Expanded state (which includes two nested instances for the hover on/off effect of each dropdown option)The issue happens when I click the dropdown default twice—it throws the error:"Couldn't play interaction: nested instance is swapped with its parent instance."It seems like something is breaking with the instance swaps when transitioning between states. Has anyone run into this before? Any ideas on how to fix it?Attaching a few screenshots for reference. I’m currently the solo person on the team that works in Figma and eventually builds the website using Elementor. After designing a site and then discovering its not easy to implement a part of it, I want to recreate the Elementor widget in Figma and use variables for its design parts. (Sidenote: I’m at the point where I want to start to break free from Elementor but the boss and the client want to be able to edit the site.) I was able to do this successfully for one project, but want to make it easy to use for the multiple clients/projects that come. Variables were set up using the Base, Semantic, Component so changing a base color to the new brand’s colors is a simple process. I originally thought that having a library of the various Elementor widgets in a neutral color scheme would do that could be imported into various files. Components from that library still use its variables, as expected. Is there an easy way for me to map to the brand’s variables? Effectively, a super wide view

Figma is the best tool, but I think it have something to do better to make a nice portotype I don’t understand why the overflay not support smart animation? another question is when I use overlay Nav to another page, I can’t go back the overlay, I feeling so crazy…

Hi guys, I have a Figma file with 100s of frames and I would like to export each frame as a .fig file. But Figma only allows to save the whole file as .fig. Do you know a way to easily split each frame into different .fig files?

Hello! I want to create a simple Figma template that lets you add images to your design I want the image to have fixed width (to adhere to the column grid), but auto height to keep images aspect ratio. E.g. if my fixed width is 800px If a user inserts a portrait image, it resizes to 800px wide and becomes “tall” If a user inserts a landscape image, it resizes to 800px wide and becomes “short” Can’t find a way to do it: Auto-layouts, components, and “Place Image” maintain the dimensions of the old image “Choose Image” with the “Fit” option places new image in the middle of the old frame See attached image for the illustration of what I mean Any workaround for this? Some combination of auto-layouts and settings that I’m missing? Thanks!

Hello all, We use a shared library with text styles, and it works across all files except for one, where a specific style (“Small 500”, which is weight = medium) cannot be selected. When I go to Edit Style, the font name appears broken—SF Pro Text is concatenated into a single string (losing all spaces). However, there’s no other visible indication why it should be broken. The “A?” yellow icon indicates the font (weight?) is not installed locally, but again, it works across all other files in our projects. Oddly enough, we can manually replicate the exact same text parameters in this file without issues. Has anyone encountered this before? Any ideas on what’s going on? 🤔

What happened to the variable details in Dev Mode that got announced recently? Below is a screenshot for reference. You’re supposed to get an ellipses on hover with the option to see variable details. They were working the other day and now I don’t see them? I’m on the latest version of Figma.

Hi all.I want to get the modified datetime of a file with the plugin API.

I’ve been in the UX/UI industry for over 15 years and have worked with all kinds of different grid systems. I have a client who insists on using a baseline grid to align items, assets, and components. However, the components he builds with AutoLayout have all sorts of odd values (13, 17, etc.) just to ensure they fit within the baseline grid. To me, this feels awkward, and after countless discussions with him, I’m just exhausted from emphasizing the advantages of a grid system based on AutoLayout with consistent values like 2, 4, 8, 16, 24, etc. What is your workflow like?

Hi there, So had an google account without Gmail, i used my hotmail email account for my Google account. Since a few weeks I created a Gmail account under my existing Google account. If I now try to sign in with Google it signs me in with my new primary Gmail account and I can’t get to my old account. Is there some way how to fix this? on other websites it works fine when i now ry to sign in with google so i think Figma does something wrong with google sign in and creates new accounts. I hope there is a way to get my files back. I tried Figma support but i don’t have an payed account so they wont help me.
