When I change the theme color using the Material Theme Builder in the Material Design System 3 file, I can no longer switch modes to dark.

Is there a way to select multiple groups, and frame it into individual frames, rather than clicking one group and framing it one by one so that it is framed separately? I thought I could do it by selecting all and hitting Frame Selection (Ctrl+Alt+G), but I guess that groups it all together in ONE frame

Does Figma provide additional APIs or enhanced data access for plugins when using Dev Mode?I'm curious whether enabling Dev Mode in Figma unlocks any extra capabilities or data through the Plugin API—such as more detailed component properties, design tokens, or dev-specific metadata. Or is the Plugin API the same regardless of whether Dev Mode is enabled?Any clarification or official documentation would be appreciated!

If I remove editors before the billing date, will they still be included in the billing? Since team billing is independent, does it apply only to editors who have access at the time of billing, or does it include those who were removed before the billing date?

Hi. I’m an UI designer and I recently found out that the owner/admin of my current figma plan/group has left the company. I’m relatively new to figma so I researched how to change owner/admin and it seems like only the current owner can transfer/change ownership/admin. Since he has already left the company I’m stuck and don’t know any other way to do it. Is there any other way to change owner/admin?What we have is Figma Professional plan.Any advice, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.Naoki

I have a component set with 75 variants. I’m trying to add a new property for a larger size and then duplicate and scale all 75. I’m able to add the property and create the duplicates. When I select all 75 and use Scale only the one I selected scales the bounding box and all the others scale outside of their bounding boxes.I really only need 2 of them now. But when I select one that I need (the right facing arrow at the top left) and try to scale it all of the other ones with the same color also scale and their bounding boxes don’t. I can’t figure out why when I have one selected all of the others also update.Thank you!

Hello, everyone!I’m trying to make a dependent dropdown lists using figma, anyone has any idea of how can i make it?for example, if i select “escavação” in the other droplist we should have a list with ‘eletrica, hidraulica’ to select, and if i select another one, than other list  

Using fonts like Source Sans Pro or Signika from Google Fonts in Figma gives you the ability to use small caps (among other OTF features). But in code, small caps don’t work (the browser renders faux small caps). How does Figma makes it work, and how can I make it work on my code?

Hey guys! I’m new to Figma, so forgive me if this is a totally stupid question. I’m trying to animate a spinning wheel for a loading screen using variants. I followed a handful of YouTube tutorials that all suggested the same method, but none of them animated when I previewed. I eventually caved and ripped someone’s from community, but it still would just sit there on preview. I eventually realized that I needed to hit reset (R) to make the animation occur. Does anyone know what’s up with this? A setting I need to change? Let me know, thanks so much! Figma – 20 Dec 22

Pretty much what the title says.How do I access components from one file in another?

I’m looking for something really simple. I THOUGHT it used to be a simple “plus” button. I have a bunch of elements, I want to automatically add all those colors (or type styles if they’re text) to my library. what i’m looking for is to select all, hit a button, and have them added. then i can go in and rename them later. i could have sworn this was in Figma before. please help!

Hi community, I have an issue that I’m having a hard time finding a solution to.I’m creating a graph component for our design system and I want the user to be able to hover on data point to get more information. At the same time I want it to be possible to hover on a legend category and have the corresponding line highlighted.I have set up a normal variant change on hover for the data points.Interaction for the data point componentThe issue occurs when I apply a variable change on hover on the legends category, which changes the line from state “default” to “hovered”. GraphState variable used to change the variant of the line + data point from “default” to hovered” Interaction for the legend category (set on the graph component) This interaction works fine but appears to block the data point hover interaction as shown in the gif below:Gif showing the issue. One of the best features I loved about Figma slides was the “adjust tone” capability. With the recent push out of beta I’m no longer seeing this feature. Anyone else notice that?

Hi, I’ve a major problem with previews. I design on a MacBook Pro 16" with notch and most of my frames are that size (made using Figma MacBook Pro 16" preset). When I go and preview them, I’ve two options: Prototype with the device frame (this inevitably scale the frames). Prototype without the device frame and mess everything up (the frame is never really scaled to 100% – actual size). See screenshots. Frame in Figma design project. Same frame previewed with Figma in full screen and “Fill screen” option selected. Same frame preview with Figma in full screen and “Actual size (100%)” option selected. All other options add borders like this and this is starting to be unbearable. How can one design without being able to see real life proportions? Adding the MacBook pro image around does definitely not fix the issue as the screen gets even smaller. Any one has the same issue or a solution? Thanks Giovanni

Hello. I am having a huge problem getting a very basic function of Figma to work properly. No one has answered my question on here, Reddit or anywhere and it’s holding up my entire case study/portfolio/career! I would be willing to pay someone to help me with this one problem but I don’t even know where to go for this. Has anyone else had luck getting paid professional advice?

Same issue here, M3 Pro mac / desktop app. Never had lag like this in Figma. Cleared cache to no avail. Seems to have started after a recent update in the past week or so.

This is the first time I’ve encountered this issue, but for some reason my hover effect isn’t working as it should. I’m creating a navigation sidebar (icon + tab name) and created a component with a default, hover, and selected variants (very straightforward). But for some of these tabs, only the text name changes and not the icon.Can anyone tell me how to fix this? In these screenshots, it shows the home tab working properly, but when I hover over notifications and all the other tabs beneath it, it only changes the color of the text. 

Question:Is there any clever way to name component variants that doesn’t create properties? Context Details:My company is using a third-party UI kit for a design system.  In order to create customizations, I’m looking to have a separate Figma file that imports the UI kit, but only including the parts we want designers to use.  Then we’ll publish our version of the design system to be used.  In order to get only our subset of components to be available in design files, I need to wrap the UI kit components in a new component.  Since the original components already have the properties set up, it doesn’t make sense to duplicate them on the wrapper component.  But if I don’t use the ‘property=value’ format for the wrapper component variables, Figma yells at me.  Maybe that’s just something to live with?  But I’m curious if anyone else has run into this and found a solution.
