FIgma on Mac version 125.4.9Following along with: Created some icon components.  Created a button component, added an instance swap property.  Now to the point that I want to tie the icon in my button to the property.Double click the icon, but no frame or parent component section shows up on the right:So I don’t know how to tie the icon in my button component to the property.Can anybody help out this newbie?

I’m building a plugin that adds some reactions to Figma design components. It mostly works, but I’m stuck on getting overlays to work right.I’m looking for documentation or examples for how to setoverlayPositionType: “MANUAL” overlayBackgroundInteraction: “CLOSE_ON_CLICK_OUTSIDE”It looks like these are supposed to be set on the Frame that my Action points to. I’m building a site and when I go into preview mode or publish the site, Figma changes/reformats my fonts.. is this a bug or am I missing something ? 

Hi everyone! I'm fairly new to Figma, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. However, I’ve run into an issue with the hover interaction. I've used it throughout my project without any problems, but now, any new components I create with a hover state are flickering when hovered over. It's confusing because the same interaction has worked fine until now. Has anyone experienced this or know how to fix it? I'd really appreciate any help!

If I cancel my figma pro subscription, are all my websites that I created and published with it going to be deleted and unpublished?

It’s something tremendous. I can’t leave “Present mode” (not Prototype) and in order to do that I ask about it on the forum. People scold photoshop, but sorry I never experienced so primitive problems there. It’s a big shame for figma.

Hi,I have a professional plan with 5 seats and my team has several projects.I need to add an external user (that already has a seat in another team inside Figma, but not my team), just to strictly edit a specific project inside my team. I don’t want this user to have access to other projects inside my team.How can I do that?Thanks

I'm building a component configuration where images use specific aspect ratios. By default, the aspect ratio is set to 3:2, and a Placeholder component inside the image enforces this ratio.To manage this, I created a variable called default-aspect-ratio and use it in the component's prop.Since I'm working in a multi-branded design system, different brands will use different aspect ratios.Is it possible to redefine the same default-aspect-ratio variable within each brand’s handoff file, so it overrides the original, without using modes or other mechanisms?Or is that a limitation of the system?

Hi,I’m preparing specs in Figma Desktop (v125.4.9) for a Button component with 180 variants (sizes, states, colors, etc.).I remember being able to Alt-drag the component (on Mac) or use an "Insert all variants" option, which would instantly place all variant instances on the canvas.Now when I Alt-drag, it duplicates the entire component, not instances.Was this feature removed or moved?Is there any plugin or workaround to insert all variants at once?Manually placing 180 variants isn’t practical. Any tips appreciated!

Hi everyone,I’ve been facing an issue with exporting images from Figma. When I export them, they appear in high resolution, but after downloading, the JPG or PNG file becomes long and stretched. The image also appears blurry when zoomed in. Even after uploading it to Behance, the issue persists with the image appearing stretched and blurry.However, when I open the same image in Photoshop, it appears clear. But when I export it again from Photoshop, the image reverts to being stretched and blurry.Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I’m teaching one of my UX classes online this summer, and since the class is asynchronous I made a Figjam board with some icebreaker exercises on it.I want to leave it open for a week, not 24 hours- and I definitely won’t remember to start an open session every 24 hours for a week.I don’t really want to invite students to join any of my projects, because I have between 30-200 students per semester and things get crazy quickly. Is there a way to give them edit access to a single Figjam file for a week? (I’m on an educational license. Most of the students will have created an educational account, but some folks always lag behind and haven’t done it by the first week of class.) 

Hello everyone, I’m having some issues with Figma Slides when trying to present both in presenter and audience view. In particular, the “smart animate” slides transition doesn’t work in the audience view but seems to work fine in the presenter view. I already tried to restart the presentation, open it in the app and on different browsers, I just can’t find a way to make it work. It’s driving me crazy, I’d 100% prefer to not view the smart animations in the presenter view rather than in the audience view.Do you have suggestions for solving this? It’s for my graduation presentation, I need to use 2 screens, one external for the audience view and my macbook screen for reading the notes in the presenter view:(

The fonts I stalled became unavailable in Figma after I restarted my laptop. However they are still installed in my computer, just I can’t use them in Figma - Can anyone help with this situation? Thanks.

I've created a simple interactive component. A dropdown that's closed by default, opens on click, and should close again when clicked a second time. It works as expected within the same Figma file where I built it, but when I copy it into another Figma file, in to a frame, only part of the interaction works: the dropdown opens on click, but it doesn’t close on the second click.If anyone has any insight or suggestions, I'd really appreciate the help!
