I’ve been playing around with Figma Make and it’s great so far. The only issue is that I am unable to bring my Figma Make output into a Figma Design file. I can only get so far with Figma Make, and I’d like to use the Figma editor to make final changes. Is there a way to do this?

This randomly just resolved but I lost an entire day of working time because I was stuck in the following loop:I reset my password so I could use the mobile app This logged me out of my session on browser, so I had to log back in Wouldn’t let me use google, so had to use password Used my new password, entered the authentication code texted via SMS to my phone Looked like it was logging me in but brought me to the Figma home page with the “login” link at top right I would then try that log in link, and it would try to use SSO or whatever the acronym is, and it wouldn’t accept my organization’s security key…. Rinse and repeat like 20 times today. Wrote to support, no one answered.

I am struggling with a modal with backdrop component that I am trying to make. The idea is that I have a component with auto frame set. Inside is an instance of a modal component. The modal component is set to auto layout and consists of 3 frames; a header, body, and footer. Within the body, I have an instance of a component called “slot” that is 5px tall.When I create an instance of the modal with backdrop component, and swap out the “slot” component with another one, the content of that new component gets cut off. Instead, I want the modal component to grow to fit the content. Below, I have pictured the component (not the instance but you get the idea). In the below component, I know I can just drag the modal taller but in the instance I can’t do that. How would I accomplish my task?  

I saw this topic but seems the most recent is still a year old. I tried everything mentioned yet when I’m in design mode and show presentation then copy the link and try it ina browser I;m not logged into, I sitll see the force account gate. I tried this on both desktop app and browser. No dice. Please advise.

Coming from Sketch sharing is pretty simple and straightforward but I got charged sharing from Figma and trying to avoid that again. Can I share any file as view only and not have to worry about getting charged? And in View only can they use the inspect view?  

Hi!I'm exploring the new features in Figma and I'm particularly interested in Figma Make. However, I've noticed that the results it generates are a bit generic. In fact, even with different prompts from different people, the outputs tend to be very similar. Is there any way to make Figma Make learn from my own projects, turning my explorations into applied patterns?Thank you!

I just downloaded Figma to learn UI UX design i wanted make grid but i can’t find it in my properties panel and I have watched others but they have it there already. Can someone help me ASAP please.

Haven’t found exactly this issue posted: I created a new component in my library, but Figma ignores it when publishing. In the design file it’s no different from any other component - and the component in question works as expected within the library file. But no matter how many times I alter it, Figma doesn’t seem to notice that it’s a component, so it doesn’t get published. I’ve even duplicated and renamed it…doesn’t matter. It’s like it doesn’t exist, so it’s not available in any other files using that library.

Some of my colleagues have the same issue. They are editors in a file. The libraries are enabled, everything seems to be set properly. Did you manage to find a solution?

Im working on a plugin which sends data back and forth using postMessage’s between UI components and the Figma API. Im essentially sending entire frames and their design elements. I’ve seen when I choose a design with many elements, that it’s running very slow and freezing up the UI until the work is done.How can I optimize this? Any and all inputs are greatly appreciated.  

In order to be able to use AI within my organisation, I’ll need to write a business case, however I’ll need to do a test with a smaller amount of users. I’ve been pouring over the settings and help docs and I can’t seem to find an option for maybe enabling AI for just a subset of users.Is that possible? I’m not seeing anything in the Workspace settings, but maybe that’s because I don’t have AI enabled (which I can’t enable yet due to security restrictions)?Thanks in advance!

I am stuck with UI in dark mode and Figma background in light mode making the sections all dark but background ssuper light. It is jarring to say the least.

Hi everyone,I'm running into an issue with hover interactions on vector shapes in Figma. Currently, hover states are triggered based on the shape's bounding box, not the actual vector path itself. This is causing problems for me, I'm trying to make a graph interactive, but because of the bounding boxes overlapping, the hover triggers incorrectly.Is there any way to make the hover interaction respect the actual visible vector shape instead of the bounding box? Or is this a known limitation?Any ideas or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!PS I know there already are some topics on this, but they date from more than 1 year ago, maybe something has changed in the meanwhile.Thanks in advance.  

OverviewI started using Figma Sites after watching several YouTube tutorials. In the tutorials, other users have blocks like Navigation and Features in the “Insert” menu, but I don’t see those options in mine.I understand that Figma Sites is available to users on the Pro plan, and as far as I know, there shouldn’t be any other restrictions. My QuestionI understand that Figma Sites is currently in beta.Does this mean that features are limited per user? Or is there a step I still need to complete?Or could this be a bug? (If so, I’d appreciate it if it could be fixed.)If anyone has any insight, I’d really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.  

I am trying out the new MCP server, which is awesome news btw. The first thing I tried to use it for was to pull variables from some design files into my codebases and it doesn’t seem to support modes at all. I can seemingly get almost every other thing out of the file but not the variable modes.Am I missing something? Variables seem to me to be the most obvious thing you want to translate directly from Figma to your codebase.

I am trying to create a basic calculator using Figma variables. The calculator has 1-9 number keys and a result section linked to number variable #Result Interaction on numbers takes place as follow: Interaction logic: Prototype mode: On clicking 7 multiple type result displayed is as follows: Expected: 0, 7(0x10+7), 77(7x10=7),777, 7777, 77777, 777777, Unexpected: 77777776, 777777792, -2147483648 (and stops) Can anyone help me with the reason for this error, as I have rechecked all logics carefully.

 HelloI have a problem.I created some components that I wanted to take to the Figma site, but apparently there is no support for some interactions.I wanted to make a carousel, which is working in the prototype.What solutions should I look for for this?

I have attached all of the image frames to variables for the width and height and made a variable mode for mobile and for tablet. The ultimate idea is to have an endless scrolling photo gallery that I can change from Mobile to Tablet and have it work the same for either size.In the first screenshot you will see a stacked component positioned vertically with five rows of repeating images that I am using to make an infinite scrolling photo gallery. Up to this point all of the images have been behaving properly in terms of responsiveness. In the second screenshot you can see that I have clipped the stacked component so you just see five images. I have moved an instant of each of the variants to the right of the component and changed the mode of each one from Mobile to Tablet. At this point you can see that the first variant with the cherries behaved normally but each consecutive variant only changed by a fraction thus landing between images. This behavior has me stumped and I’m not seeing

I’m trying to add a video as a background in Figma Sites. The video previews in the fill window (see screenshot) however it does not play when I preview the whole site.  

It would be perfect if Figma, when used in the browser, had an option to keep a design open in the browser—even when the desktop app is installed. The Figma app is great, and everyone who uses it (myself included) likes it, but sometimes users would prefer to use it 100% via the browser. Unfortunately, Figma doesn’t have a native setting to choose whether files/designs open in the browser or the app—they always redirect to the app.

Hi everyone,I’m currently working on a web app prototype in Figma and I’ve hit a strange issue. I’ve set up a frame that’s 834x1194px and contains content that overflows vertically. Here’s what I’ve done so far: The parent frame has “Clip content” checked ✅ Overflow behavior is set to “Vertical scrolling” ✅ The content inside clearly exceeds the height of the frame ✅ Prototype settings seem correct, and the screen is connected in the flow ✅ Still, when I preview the prototype, I can’t scroll vertically at all — the screen is completely static.I’ve tried rebuilding the frame from scratch, playing with layers, checking constraints, and ensuring nothing is hidden or locked.
