When will figma make be available?

Hi everyone,I’ve just started experimenting with the new Grids auto layout beta version. How do I get this square rectangle block to go from edge to edge of the webpage? I’ve added 10px padding either side of the webpage grid, however everytime I extend it, it snaps to the auto grid? I would like this to extend past the grid to the very edge!I’ve tried holding down shift and drag, however this creates another frame on top of the existing webpage frame and it needs to all be within one frame. 

I've been meaning to share this for a while now, especially with anyone who has been contemplating about having bespoke Vida Veneers Custom-Made but doesn't know where to start. A few months ago, I was in the same boat, going through reviews, looking at before-and-after photographs, and second-guessing every selection. But I'm really glad I eventually did it.

tab “Resizing”Hi everyone, I need help finding the “Resizing” tab in Figma. I’m attaching a screenshot from a 2022 video where this tab was present in the interface, and my current interface where it’s missing.Thanks for your reply if you’ve written one! :) 

With the recent Figma config and features it introduced, I feel figma isnt really interested in introducing newer features for UX Designers. I have this opinion based on Figma introduced Figma Make, where it can build and iterate websites based on a prompt (Feature targeted towards a general public rather than a UX Designer) Breakpoints in Figma Sites and not in Figma File (Figma introduced breakpoints for Figma Sites where we can design and publish in actual websites) but did not introduce the feature in actual Figma files which many have asked for. (As if Figma is trying to tease, we can do it, but we won't as we don't think UI design is persist for long) First Draft (First draft is where it would have been helpful if instead of a default library, they could have added a feature where we could add our own library) Again here they did not improve upon it, rather made huge advancements in Figma Make, which is targeted toward a general audience. What do you guys think, am I right?

Hi figpals,I'm creating an icon, and this issue has been bothering me lately. Right now, the only way to solve it is with a hack. I know there are ways to fix it, but I really need to avoid repeating this workaround in a loop. If there's a way to prevent me from having to do this hack over and over again, it would be a huge help.So here's the case:First, i create an icon (absolutely) like below:What I want to ask is about focusing on a selected object. I’m using an inside stroke for icon weight, which makes it easier to control the size measurements and set the radius for each corner.Then, to finalize, I need to vectorize the stroke using the “Outline Stroke” feature. And here’s what happens:A line appeared at the bottom, and what’s even stranger is that it only shows there. But when I enter edit mode, it looks like this:There is a visible line right there, so I tried to remove it as shown below:But this is what I ended up with: It removes the area right next to it, which keeps frustra

This is super scummy. Does anybody know where we can complain in the Eu about it? Maybe people would like to jump on a groups case against Figma. This is so low. I’ve been buying my motnhly single user subscription (18e), this month they charged me for 8 people + 5 FigJam seats. Lol, nobody asked for this, they did this on their own. This is mega unprofessional and scammy.

Hi! Industrial Designer turned UX Designer now.Is there a way to make a circular/ring slider in Figma? I see many tutorials for automatic/animated progress rings but I can’t seem to find how to make an actual user-controlled ring slider. I am also not referring to a linear/bar slider - however, this circle slider would interact just like a bar slider but move in a circle.Attached here, you’ll see what I’m referring to. For instance, you see these slider rings in various apps where you can set the time, temperature or some other kind of parameter with your finger by dragging the length of the highlighted circle/ring. Any help or direction to a tutorial showing this is much appreciated!!

Hi, I can’t remove the template from the list in the Template and tools. It also appears in the dialogue window when creating new figma slides presentation. The template was unpublished by droping to the drafts folder *unpublish confirmed”. Any ideas how to make the template disappear from the lists?

I am not able to open a few of my Figma files. The files are around 8-10 mb. IT just keep trying to import but never loads. Is there any alternate way to open/import my fig files? This is a blocker. I need to think twice now before using Figma in future.Any help will be greatly appreciated. ThanksKed

I have created a design system for a mobile app in a Figma file (lets call it A). Also, my project files are also in the same Figma files but in different pages.. Now the problem is, my Figma file is getting heavier and sometimes, it takes too much time to load. I tried publishing the design system (lets call it B), but every time I call a component, it directs me to the main components in the design system  A. Where am I doing wrong? and what is the solution to publish the design system so that my current components sync with it (B), and not with the A.

Hi everyone, I’m having an issue with my variable list, particularly as it pertains to a drop-down menu I want to create. Below you can see the screenshot of the list (with the placeholder text “Button”). I’m trying to replace the placeholder text with the String variable I created “Grocery”. I want to replace all the placeholder text as well.Figma isn’t letting me replace the placeholder text with my desired variable. I’m not sure how else I can replace the text because there’s no option to do so manually. Hoping someone can help with regards to this. 

Does Figma Make support the learning of design systems or the implementation of predefined design standards?

I want to create auto layout for multiple selected layers. When I select multiple layers and press Shift + A, it wraps the layers in another frame with auto layout enabled. However, my intention was to apply auto layout for each layer. Is it possible to achieve this? Because I don’t want to click on each layer and press Shift + A. Thanks!

Updated: I saw someone visited my file and it was fixed. Many thanks 😊Hi guys, I have created this conditional prototype for the phone country code. The default country code is Germany. When I click in India the conditional prototype works but when I click back to Germany, it doesn’t change Germany to active. I tried to do other way, set India as a default instead, it works when I click on Germany (change their statue to inactive) but when I click back on India, nothing happens. Please someone help me with this. Thank you 🙏Figma link:  defaultIt works when I click on India, but when I click back on Germany, nothing happens 

Hi, I want a button to turn into a selected state first, then only it navigates to new page / open a new overlay. The only thing I got when I put these two interactions is they showing one. How to make this possible?

I have a component called “Dropdown base” and it has a couple of variants.For some reason I cannot insert a Button component I also have in my design system inside any of the variants.All the other components can be inserted fine: search bar, icons, chips, tags, anythingOnly with the Button component I get the error saying “Components cant contain instances of themselves”Which I dont understand because the Button is not an instance of the Dropdown base…is this a bug?thanks! 

Hi all. I exported a frame (1920x720) and it outputs a 1928x720 PNG file. Is it possible to export an image the same size as the frame? Do you know why you can't export an image the same size as the frame? 

I can't seem to find the API docs for AutoLayout Grid recently.A few days ago, I could still access properties like:gridChildHorizontalAligngridChildVerticalAligngridColumnCountgridColumnGap...But now, I can't retrieve these properties anymore. Were they removed? Or were they moved to a different interface?

Usually, I design in low-fidelity, then move to mid-fidelity, and finally to high-fidelity with functional prototypes. During this process, I also create the design system (when it’s a new project).Now that I’m including variables, I’m running into a problem: variables aren’t exported unless I use a plugin, and even then, the process feels very slow. Updating every variable in the design system (whether with plugins or not) makes designing much less efficient.Here’s a real case: In my design system, I define styles for typography and sizes. For sizes, I set up variables for Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile. Later, while working on my mid-fidelity wireframe, I realize my sizes aren’t quite right. In this wireframe, I also have variables for breakpoints. Now, I’m not sure if I should:Modify the typography sizes in the design system (as styles and variables), orChange the variables in the mid-fidelity wireframe where I’m working with breakpoints.So, how do you recommend managing this process,

I’ve built a Base Design System using variables to support 4 products with ~80% shared flows and components. The only major differences are styling (colors, typography, etc.).However, some products are starting to diverge in component structure and visual design, leading me to create unique components. This is polluting the Core Library with product-specific elements.I’d like to separate the Core components from these niche/extended components.What’s the best approach in Figma? Should I organize each product's unique components in separate pages within the Core Library file (e.g., 8–10 pages named by product)? Or should I create separate Figma files for each product’s Extended Library? I still want to use variable modes, will this cause any issues? If I go with separate files, can I publish from the Core Library to Extended Libraries (or vice versa) to maintain consistency and avoid duplication? Will this confuse developers in any way? Any recommendations or best practices for

I would like to replace an existing master component with a new version without having to update the existing master component. I copied the new version and replace with the existing master component. The designs that initially used the existing master component didn’t get updated with a new one. When I select the existing master component in the design, I get the following message with the ‘Reset to default’ button.‘Missing variant’ The selected variant is missing in the component When I click the reset to default button, the component overrides with the new version. But I want this change to be applied automatically without me having to click one component at a time to override it.  How can I reflect the change with the new version automatically after replacing the master component?

FIgma on Mac version 125.4.9Following along with: Created some icon components.  Created a button component, added an instance swap property.  Now to the point that I want to tie the icon in my button to the property.Double click the icon, but no frame or parent component section shows up on the right:So I don’t know how to tie the icon in my button component to the property.Can anybody help out this newbie?
