Hi, team; I’m trying to access my Figma account. The log-in email is x***@**.edu, as I already lost access to this email, I cannot verify the account and log in to my Figma. Could you help me get access to this account, or can I update my email address from your end?

I submitted two requested and they were automatically marked as solved.

Hey @Lexie_Li, thank you for reaching out! I was able to locate your recent ticket (#1086394). I’ve escalated this with your support team.

In the meantime, do you happen to have emails from your old email address forwarded to the new email address? If so, I recommend to reset your password so that you can surpass the Google single sign on login to access your Figma account, and then update your email address as needed.

If your emails are not forwarded, what support can do is start the process to manually update your Figma account email address. For this process they’ll need to verify your ownership of the account.

Someone should be in touch with you soon. Please be aware that we are facing increased contact volume so there might be a delay.

Hi @Gayani_S Thanks for addressing this! Unfortunately, I am not able to forward my old email address to any new email address. I will need the support team to manually update my old Figma account (iu.edu email) with my current email address and I can assist with the verification process.

Hi, I am experiencing this same issue, my ticket is #1287757. This is regarding my old university account (*******@***.edu that has been deactivated, therefore I no longer have access to it and as a result I cannot login to my figma. Can someone help me with a manual password reset?

Our support team is best placed to assist as we are unable to provide individual support via the forum for this type of situation. Please continue the conversation with them in ticket #1287757.
I was able to locate the ticket and see that a member of the team replied to it a few hours ago - confirm the details they are asking for and they’ll be happy to resolve it for you. :)

 

P.S.: If you’ve emailed the support team and only provided the old university email address - which you no longer have access to - please send me a direct message here with your current email address and I can submit a ticket on your behalf.


Hi! I am facing a similar issue :

I recently graduated from university, and my Figma account was associated with my university email (which is now deactivated). Unfortunately, I didn’t back up my files before the account access was lost. This includes my thesis project, portfolio work, and other key submissions from the past year.

I've reached out to my university’s IT and school office, but they’ve confirmed they’re unable to reactivate the email or help retrieve the files.

Unfortunately, all my thesis files and portfolio work are locked in that Figma account, and I am no longer able to reset the password.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

To start, do you happen to have email forwarding set up from your old university email to your new address? If so, I recommend to reset your password so that you can surpass the Google single sign on login to access your Figma account, and then update your email address as needed. 

If your emails are not forwarded, I’d be happy to reopen your support ticket (Ticket #1312907) and have our support team assist you with manually updating the email address on your Figma account. This would allow you to regain access and move your files to a new account. To complete this process, support will just need to verify ownership of the original account.

I’m also having the same issue with my Figma account. I no longer have access to my work email ID, hence am unable to authenticate with a code when logging into Figma. I would like to regain access to my files though. Could someone on your end please help me manually update the email address on my Figma account so I can have access? Thank you!

Hey ​@Manasi Muke! I’ve just seen you’ve already submitted a support ticket (Ticket #1361018). I’m assuming you don’t have emails from your old email address forwarded to the new email address. 

This means support needs to manually update your Figma account email address. For this process they’ll need to verify your ownership of the account, so someone should be in touch with you soon. ​​After the change of the email address of the account, you can log in, and move the files in the account to your new account.
