I have a question that I would like to have an answer to in order to create/work with a plugin for Figma.

I tested several Figma plugins related to string names generation/string push-pull and noticed that string IDs generated/pulled via plugin for text strings always override the actual names of text elements. Which means that plugin use these names as fields for meta-info. The actual text of the elements in kept in a container slot. And I can't change it without changing the text on my mockups. And looks like there is no other text field I can add information to.

The question is, is there a way to keep meta-information (for example, textual) in some way for particular text elements in Figma? So that it is not kept as the name of text element or not kept as the actual text of the text element, but in some other way. If I need some meta-info to be connected to a particular text element, how can I do that? Does Figma API allow anything like that?
