Hello everyone,I’m new here and trying to find how to reduce the thickness of a flat icon copied as SVG from figma plugin, at this current scale, I’m looking to achieve a thinner width for this icon like a pen/pencil drawing.Has anyone had to resolve this please share with me?Thank you  

Hi everyone! 👋In FigJam, I love how you can create arrows and then reshape them freely by adding angles, and the corners stay nicely rounded no matter how you move the handles.I’m wondering:👉 Is it possible to do the same in a Figma Design file, but with a rounded rectangle instead of an arrow?Basically, I want to create a shape starting with a rounded rectangle and I want to be able to add angles to it (just like how arrows behave in FigJam), while still keeping the rounded corners.Does anyone know if that’s possible? Or maybe a workaround / plugin that can help?Basically I want to be able to reshape the rounded rectangle easily without the corne radius to change and be able to add angles like I want. How can I create easily a rectangle like the purple one in my pic? Thanks a lot!

I am working on setting up a design library structure that needs to support three teams, each team is working with 4 brands. We’re currently on an Organization license.As two of the three teams are using MUI we’re going for a setup where we have a main library that is using MUI as a foundation, meaning it is using copies of MUIs components and their conventions for collections and variables.To support the third team we have decided that each team will have their own complementary library as an extension to the main one, so that they are free to create local variables/tokens that suits their needs. I’m trying to bind a variable to a layer. All the videos/tutorials explaining how to do this (including Figma’s own tutorials) feature a “Layer” panel in the right-side menu (NOT the big “LayerS” panel on the left side). For example, here’s an image from Figma’s tutorials: https://help.figma.com/hc/article_attachments/15253641613335. Note the “Layer” panel in the right menu between “Design” and “Fill” which allows you to bind a variable to a layer. Where the heck is that menu?? I have no such menu. I have a full Professional license. No features should be hidden. Any ideas? PS. I’m new here on the forum and I’m dealing with a Figma issue I haven’t been able to solve.When I hit "Play" to preview navigation between multiple screens, Figma only shows a basic screen-to-screen transition — completely ignoring the animations already configured inside my components. I’m not sure if this is a mistake on my part or something I changed by accident.When I create an animated component, it works perfectly. And when I test transitions between multiple animated components, they behave as expected. But once I place those components inside the main frame — for example, simulating a website with slide-style pages — the animations stop working. The transitions between screens become flat and instant, with no effects applied.Also, in some cases where the animation does work, if I go back to a previous slide, it appears fully rendered — as if the animation had already finished loading before the screen appeared.One strange thing: when I

Hi all, This has been driving me crazy and I feel like with the new update it has further just muddled my opinion. I’m working within a multi brand design system. One component library, multiple brands with different colours and fonts. (I have thoughts about that but alas I am a lowly designer and not high enough to create change) Brand switching also became a little easier with variables and tokens, however there is a limit to 4 brands before you need to upgrade your Figma plan which we can’t do. Since we have more than 4 brands (and type variables are still quite new), what is the best way to do this? We’ve been doing it two ways, either: Create atoms, organism. While browsing through UI Kits available in figma such as iOS 18 / Material Design and so on, I came across an examples tab which, when dragged onto the screen, does not present an instance of component but an editable screen. Can someone tell me whether we can achieve this effect outside of UI Kit, i.e. in our own library, or is this a function available only in UI Kits?

I'm developing a Figma plugin that syncs library variables to local variables. I've noticed that when I call figma.teamLibrary.getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync() multiple times, it seems to return cached results rather than fetching fresh data from the library.This is causing issues when I update variables in the library and then try to sync them again - my plugin doesn't see the updated variables because it's getting cached data.Example scenario:I run my plugin and sync variables from a library I update variables in the library I run my plugin again, but it doesn't see the updated variablesQuestions:Is there a way to force getAvailableLibraryVariableCollectionsAsync() to bypass the cache and get fresh data? When I change the theme color using the Material Theme Builder in the Material Design System 3 file, I can no longer switch modes to dark.

Is there a way to select multiple groups, and frame it into individual frames, rather than clicking one group and framing it one by one so that it is framed separately? I thought I could do it by selecting all and hitting Frame Selection (Ctrl+Alt+G), but I guess that groups it all together in ONE frame

Does Figma provide additional APIs or enhanced data access for plugins when using Dev Mode?I'm curious whether enabling Dev Mode in Figma unlocks any extra capabilities or data through the Plugin API—such as more detailed component properties, design tokens, or dev-specific metadata. Or is the Plugin API the same regardless of whether Dev Mode is enabled?Any clarification or official documentation would be appreciated!

If I remove editors before the billing date, will they still be included in the billing? Since team billing is independent, does it apply only to editors who have access at the time of billing, or does it include those who were removed before the billing date?

Hi. I’m an UI designer and I recently found out that the owner/admin of my current figma plan/group has left the company. I’m relatively new to figma so I researched how to change owner/admin and it seems like only the current owner can transfer/change ownership/admin. Since he has already left the company I’m stuck and don’t know any other way to do it. Is there any other way to change owner/admin?What we have is Figma Professional plan.Any advice, suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.Naoki

I have a component set with 75 variants. I’m trying to add a new property for a larger size and then duplicate and scale all 75. I’m able to add the property and create the duplicates. When I select all 75 and use Scale only the one I selected scales the bounding box and all the others scale outside of their bounding boxes.I really only need 2 of them now. But when I select one that I need (the right facing arrow at the top left) and try to scale it all of the other ones with the same color also scale and their bounding boxes don’t. I can’t figure out why when I have one selected all of the others also update.Thank you!

Hello, everyone!I’m trying to make a dependent dropdown lists using figma, anyone has any idea of how can i make it?for example, if i select “escavação” in the other droplist we should have a list with ‘eletrica, hidraulica’ to select, and if i select another one, than other list  

Using fonts like Source Sans Pro or Signika from Google Fonts in Figma gives you the ability to use small caps (among other OTF features). But in code, small caps don’t work (the browser renders faux small caps). How does Figma makes it work, and how can I make it work on my code?

Hey guys! I’m new to Figma, so forgive me if this is a totally stupid question. I’m trying to animate a spinning wheel for a loading screen using variants. I followed a handful of YouTube tutorials that all suggested the same method, but none of them animated when I previewed. I eventually caved and ripped someone’s from community, but it still would just sit there on preview. I eventually realized that I needed to hit reset (R) to make the animation occur. Does anyone know what’s up with this? A setting I need to change? Let me know, thanks so much! Figma – 20 Dec 22
