hi all, I’m adding a stroke to a block of text but the rounding seems quite severe - is this just because the text itself has some rounding? Anything I can do to remove the rounding? Thanks!  

I am building a plugin that identifies whether a component is linked to a design system library. If the component is linked to a library, I want to identify the name of the library it is coming from.For example, if I use a component from the iOS design system library in my design file, I want to detect that it's linked and show that the component is from the “iOS” design system. How do I get the library name from the node?

When I copy a component and paste it only the text part of the component getting pasted, loosing all the properties associated with that component. 

Hi! I have a strange problem.When I use Auto Layout in the **web version** of Figma, everything works fine. The Auto Layout panel appears on the right and I can change padding, spacing, direction, etc.But in the **desktop version**, even after pressing Shift + A and applying Auto Layout to a frame, the Auto Layout panel doesn't appear on the right side at all.Things I already tried:– Reinstalled the app– Cleared cache (from AppData folders)– Restarted computer– Switched UI modes– Tried different files– Used another Windows user account– Checked latest versionStill the panel is missing in desktop app, but works fine in web. I'm using Windows and live in Uzbekistan.Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance! 

Hello, Are there more information about the rate limits? Hi guys,Any idea how I can wrap in Auto Layout? There used to be an option, but it beats me how it works after they changed the UI3 again. I am literally baffled, it used to be simple and straight forward.edit: found it, it only shows up when applicable. Which is pretty counter intuitive imo, that’s why Active/Inactive states exist :)

Hello! Just wanted to report my experience coming from a design interview held on Zoom. I had a different interview on Teams where I also used Slides, but didn’t experience the same issues. When I tried to present only the audience view while I remained on the presenter screen, the screen share would switch to my presenter screen, making them see my speaker notes. Even though I’ve specified the window to use, it’s somehow recognizing both my Figma windows as one screen I had to move to browser, but even then, everytime I moved to the next slide in presenter view, I had to refocus back to the audience window for it to update My live prototype desktop embed did not work during the presentation. Hello Everybody, my team and I have run into an issue and I can’t find a solution.I want to be able to download the rounded corner image as it is (440x383 px) in Dev mode, without the transparent layer, text, and icons on it. I don’t need the original image (I know how I can export it) since that one is large. Did anybody run into this issue?I need the solution to work in Dev mode.The image is the Fill of the Auto layout that holds the transparent layer with text and icons. I have tried refactoring the component but until I don’t break it apart and add the image on a separate layer, I couldn’t find a way to export it separately. Can anybody recommend an image resize plugin that works? We would need this for the original images to make them smaller. I have tried “Crunch Image optimization”  but it gives an error.

Hi, If I upgrade from my current free account to Figma Pro, will I get instant access to Figma AI?

When I share a prototype with someone, they are able to view the prototype, AND can also view the whole design file if they go to the top menu dropdown and click “Open in Editor”. Q: How do I share my prototype without user being able to open my design file? [there are prob ways to keep user from editing the file, but that’s not my concern, because I don’t want them able to view the design file it in the first place.

I used to be able to export the preview at a sensible size without any cropping of the images such as border radius, however, now, for some absolutely wild reason it includes the border radius….. this is a massive pain in the ass and requires a lot of efforts to export now when it was so simple. The alternative is we download the original which then comes out at 5MB and requires resizing. Image preview including crop radius - not good​​​​​Component as displays on page Is there a solution to this? This has recently been happening on newer Figma files. Same designers, same issue on new files.

Hii, I am experiencing some weird behaviours with autolayout. The fill option doesn’t show on some frames and on others doesn’t let me centre it or align it. The “Appearance” section is not visible either. Anyone else experiencing this?

Imagine two frames. The first contains two interactive components: a seven-slide carousel and a dark/light mode toggle. The second frame is used to navigate away and return. The toggles are matching components across both frames, so they share states — which is ideal. Tapping a toggle changes its variant and the colour mode. I want the toggles to retain their state when navigating between frames, but I’d like the carousel to reset. Is there a way to control which components get reset on a frame?

Does anyone know of a plugin or tool which is similar to uiizard where I could upload a jpg to figma and it would turn it into wireframes?

I am struggling for a while to figure out a way to detect changes that have been applied to a frame since last “view” I found recently that a request to REST api getImage (https://www.figma.com/developers/api#get-images-endpoint) will generate a image and the response is cached. From what I see, the file is regenerated if I do any sort of change in the frame. Is it safe to assume that I can use the cached image key as an way to detect changes? Is there any other “official” way to trach changes to a frame? Thanks

Specifically, I’d like to know if it’s possible to create two distinct animations for a button: Single click: When clicked once, the digital value changes by one step. Long press: Holding the button down triggers a continuous, automatic increase in the value until the button is released. If you have any insights or suggestions on how to achieve this effect in Figma, please share them!

Im creating a timeline of image collections (a historical fashion timeline) spanning 30+ years with each having 60 collections containing on average 50 images so 30x60x50=90,000 which is an insane amount of images to try and load! The images are not massive but due to the sheer volume loading the page really isn’t something you can do in less than an hour… I was wondering if there was a plugin or something that would generate tiny thumbnails so to allow the entire page to load fully initally and as you zoom in to a section higher res versions load? I know Figma already does this but the images are still too higher res initially to be usable. I know i can divide the years into frames which will help fix the loading issues however the function of being able to move horizontally and vertically on the fly is really important so I’d like to avoid doing so if possible!

Hi Everyone I have one question for Figma URLs. I created a workflow journey in a Parent Page and generated the Prototype URL. After review I duplicated the page and made the updates in the duplicate page. After of the duplicate page workflow, I copied all the screens in the duplicate page and pasted them in the Parent page, after removing all the original screens in the Parent Page. And generated the Prototype URL again.  Here the problem starts, the original URL and the present URL becomes different. Please see the comparison of the 2 URLs below in the uploaded screen.The viewport data and node ID changes.Any idea why this is so, when Figma claims that the URLs would remain same.

Hi all,I'm working on a portfolio page in Figma Sites and using an iframe embed to include a custom Spline scene as a visual background. The scene is published and works perfectly when opened directly via the public link: https://my.spline.design/untitled-bn0gMdBuIbeq0O9LHbaEiPj5/Transparent background Real-time effects like pixelation, chromatic aberration, vignette No “Built with Spline” watermark (disabled in export settings) Clean visuals and correct aspect ratioBut when I embed this same scene in Figma Sites using the HTML block, I run into issues.Issues in Figma Sites iframe: A white background appears, despite the canvas and scene alpha being set to transparent. The Spline watermark is still visible, even though it's turned off in export. Visual effects (like glow, hue shift, pixelation etc.) don’t show at all. Even when using the correct embed code or hosting the scene manually with spline.runtime.js, Figma Sites seems to render a limited or outdated version. Changing t

First off: with it being named “Make” it is impossible to search up anything to do with the tool. I really like it though, and am learning a lot. I wanted to see if there was a way that I can merge or copy and paste from one “Make” file to another. 

Hi!I am trying to change the space between a sub headline and the body copy. If I place an ordinary return after the headline it makes the space to high and if I make a soft return (with the Shift+ Return keys) it is too small. How can I regulate the space after a headline and even the space before? I tried changing the paragraph spacing in the text style but it doesn’t do anything to my subheadline, although I manage to change the Main headline in the text style and it changes and looks better as seen below? What am I doing wrong? And how can I change the space after a headline and even the space before?Here you see the bold sub headline (with hard return) and you see spacing is the same above and under and too much away from the connected body copy. And for the Main headlines you can see that the space above is different from the space below towards the body copy that it is connected to. With a soft return I get it closer but too close to the body copy? 

The panel “properties” on the right side is not available, I cannot make it to appear, It doesn’t matter if there is a selected object or not. This happens in any project, new or existing or even in a copied project from other teams. I can’t find the option of activating the properties from my two accounts below (notobd4x4@gmail.com and obandemanny17@gmail.com) kindly look into this please.
