Is there a way to spell check and entire page without a plug-in? or do you have spell check each individual text layer separately?

I'm working on a library. Everytime I try to edit anything on a component (even text), after the smallest change, the auto save icon shows on the tab and things get incredibly slow. Even typing is a pain. Is there a way to pause auto save so that I can make edits in peace? Any workarounds?  

hi!I'm using the Variables REST API (POST /v1/files/:file_key/variables) and having an issue with updating a variable's resolvedType.According to the documentation, I understand that VariableChange objects support resolvedType as a parameter for UPDATE actions.However, when I send:"variables": [{"action": "UPDATE","id": "VariableID:30927:47472","resolvedType": "FLOAT"}]｝The API returns 200 success, but the variable's resolvedType remains unchanged (still "STRING").Questions:Is resolvedType actually mutable via UPDATE operations? If yes, what's the correct way to change a variable from STRING to FLOAT type? If no, could the documentation be clarified to indicate resolvedType is CREATE-only?Why I actually need this:I'm trying to convert font weight variables from STRING ("Regular", "Bold") to FLOAT (400, 700) values now that I have implemented a Variable Font on our design system.If I am able to change the resolved type, then I can cascade update the places where this variable is alia

This seems like a very basic question, but I wasn’t able to find an answer or a solution: when I’m inserting/adding a component from my assets, what’s the best way to make sure it goes directly in to the correct folder in my layers? Currently an inserted component always goes at the TOP of the layers - and then I need to scroll and drag it to where I want it.Can anyone help? thanks

I want to know if, when working in a connected project, it’s possible for me as an external collaborator to create and edit files that are private to me, using the host’s shared library. Specifically: Is every file created in a connected project visible to the host by default? Is it possible for me to use the host’s shared library in my own private space, so I can work privately until my project is ready to be shared in the connected project? My goal is to be able to work on a file that is only accessible to me until I’m ready to present it within the connected project. Thank you for any insights!

Hi everyone, I am trying to set up library thumbnails as components to nest in ‘library preview’ component for documentation so that as I change thumbnail design they sync with the docs.I am having a problem when i change out the thumbnail component it does not insert as expected. You can see from the screenshot the frame scales as expected but the text does not.Is this a thumbnail component setup problem or a libray preview thumbnail setup problem?Thank you,Mark  

Do you know what might be causing this glitch when exporting to PNG/JPG?It randomly shifts parts of elements in different directions, as shown in the image.All values for position X and Y are whole unites.  

E.g. if everything in my component is centered, imagine a plugin that just left algins all text & autolayouts so i don’t have to spend the time manually going through everything to do it.

Hey,  I’m trying to export my frames as individual “pages”, I guess I’ll call them, so I can put them in my portfolio. I’ve made a PDF, but that’s not exactly the solution I’m seeking. LMK what y’all think! 

I have an auto layout frame where I’m trying to get the nav bar to fix position at the top of the frame. There is no option in prototyping like when fixing a nav bar in a normal frame. Is this not do-able or am I missing something? I’d also like to create a back to top button in a frame but that doesn’t seem to be possible either. Thanks!

It’s just.. unhelpful. I don’t know what the pinned file is anymore, and it’s worse when I have multiple files pinned because now I have to distinguish between multiple files with the same icon.  

I want a way or a plugin to add custom metadata/custom properties/custom attributes to Figma components.My goal is to design components like Button, ComboBox, Radio Button, Table, TextArea, and TextInput, and attach metadata to each.I need to fetch this metadata later using Figma’s GET API.The metadata can be Plain text or JSON as string and can be of any number (10/20/30)I tried using default component properties capability associating it with bunch of hidden text type, but when I create an instance of the component, the properties associated with hidden text don’t appear in the new instance.Any suggestions on how to achieve this or a pluging which can be used to achieve it would be very very helpful.

 Every time i [zoom in], the blue select rectangle appears, and when i try to zoom inside of a frame it shifts the items out of the frame.  So to put it simply; it detaches elements in frames, and groups elements that are not in frames. 

So I am trying to make a “like system”. When going between these two frames the state of the liked “Food” box should remain. I have both visibility and the status of the heart set up as variables. It does remember the state when moving from the first frame into the second, but not the second into the first. Meaning if I change the state in the second one it does not transfer back to the first, the first will stay how it was.  The food category is there on the second frame it is just not visible due to being tied to opacity. When you click it on the second frame it disappears, how I want it. I can send more images or try to explain better as well what I am trying to do. 

Hi, new to Figma here.I’m in a UI/UX course and we’re tasked with creating a site for a movie. We picked Toy Story, and I’m trying to create a frame with Hamm in which you click him, and a gold coin pops up with a review on the movie. If you click him again, the coin goes back in. Another click, and a coin pops up again, but with a different review.How do I make that happen? I have Hamm on the frame and I have a gold coin component with different variants created. In the first frame, Hamm has a small coin hidden behind him. On first click, I used smart animate to switch to the next frame, where the coin enlarges and comes up. On the second click on Hamm, I want the coin to return back to behind Hamm, and also switch to the next variant of the coin. So that on the third click on Hamm, another coin will pop up, but with a different text. Do I have to create a frame for each variant, or is there another way to make that happen? 

Hello guys,I’m having an issue with one of my component. I’m trying to make a button where the arrow below the text is taking the full width of the container (aka the text width).I thought it would’ve been a simple task but turns out it’s not working at all. Instead of the arrow stretching longer, it simply disappears for a moment and then reappears in the longer form.Both instance have the same layer names, the prototype is simply ‘While hovering’, smart animate, ease in and ease out, 300ms, nothing fancy.What am I not doing properly?https://imgur.com/a/jWWn5zb

Hi Figma community. I would like to know if there’s a possibility to make automative changelogs in figma that update automatically once there has been a change in the components (in our design system library) and that it can detect the type of change that has been done, the name of the component, date.If you know any plugin that can work for this please let me know!

I have master components in molecules and organisms, the problem is that we put multiple booleans for different rows for example and now we want to edit content them with AI or manually as group. Figma highlights the connected booleans but it does not allow to select them with one click, Does anyone know a way? I was surprised that double click on the boolean title did not select them. PS: Select all with same properties does not work, because it select all the columns as they are same component but used in different columns  

Hey there, im trying to fix a bug in my current Portfolio preparation. Ive used several frames that stay sticky at the top boarder and stack up on top of each other. Where to see all the figma resources that i liked in community?

Hello! I’m trying to create a scrollable map that also has a scrollable panel on the left hand side. The map is a large frame in the screen to I am able to scroll both directions making it scrollable and the left side panel is supposed to scroll up and down. However during the prototype, whenever I try to scroll the panel, it always scrolls the map layer instead and I can’t seem to find a fix for this. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas or know what could be causing this? Thank you!

Hi there, quite new to Figma and have a question. Why is there a paragraph indent/empty space/tab before text in textbox? How to eliminate?Since there is no dropdown or extended view of Type, or Typography in the newest update I do not find any options to set paragraph indent. But my biggest problem right now is that it seams to be set in advance, and I don’t know what this empty space exactliy is and can’t seem to get rid of it.
