Hello,while trying to re-verify my student plan for this year I got a verification limit exceeded error. SheerID said they cannot help. I prefer to use Figma when the left panel is hidden. When I have to search for components, I either need to reveal the left panel or use the actions panel, which doesn’t allow me to quickly search components, as I have to use both the mouse and keyboard for every single component. Please allow using tab in the command menu.  

I regularly need to work with screenshots of webpages, which can be a couple thousand pixels tall. I need these images to be actual size. Can’t do this in Figma cause it automatically scales large images down. I know there’s a plugin but this seems like a silly thing to rely on a plugin for, there should be an option native to Figma that lets us shut this function off. Or give us an option to scale the image back up to the original dimensions? (even if the quality’s going to get wrecked) This has been such a huge thorn in my side! Please & thank you!

I’m super excited to be using native variables in Figma; however, there are couple of glaring holes. Identifying an EM scale for text (maybe this will come with Font Variables support) Need to be able to reference an existing Variable (an Alias) and be able to do math on it; for instance, if Spacer = 20px, i would like to be able to reference {spacer}/2 to get 10px without changing the parent value

I’m using Untitled UI to create some of my screens. I dragged and dropped components from its 2 main files (variables and examples). The problem is that now, I have components that “inherit” values from 2 different palettes. The main issue with this is that when I try to switch a whole screen from “Dark mode” to “Light mode”, some components won’t switch, as they inherit values from the other file. How can I solve this? Hope someone can clarify as i’m struggling to get an answer.An external designer has created an icon font for us. I have uploaded this to the resources section which enables me to use and edit the font in a design file (without having it installed in my Mac font book)However another external designer “Guest” who has a full design seat, gets an notification when they open the file with this typeface to swap it to one installed on their system.I then checked with an internal designer (non guest) and they can see and edit the typeface without it being in their font book too.Can anyone clarify who is able to use the typeface? its seems a little pointless adding to resources if some designers still have to have have it installed, doesn't feel logical.Is it only guests that can’t use it unless its installed on their system?

Everytime I leave Figma window to go to another window, I get this “New available font: Raleway” notifications. Why is this happening? How do i turn it off?

Hi there,the first draft feature is really useful to make wireframes. However I sometimes need to alter these manually after generating them, but the used Libraries are not available. Or did I just not find them?It would be really useful if they could be provided as a library or UI Kit in Figma, to use the same components to keep refining the wireframes in further iterations after the first generation.Thanks for considering publishing these,all the bestMikka

Struggling a bit with what I had hoped was easy. First time building in Figma sites.I have a button with typical states (default, hover, clicked, etc.) that I want to function as an anchor link to some information lower on the page. However, it seems that it is associating the ‘Scroll To’ functionality with the state instead of the overall component. I see the hover state and then nothing happens in the clicked state. It does work when I use “Scroll To” with another component that doesn’t have hover or clicked states. It also works fine with just a ordinary object.I have tried with both the Interactions (because you can animate the transition) and the Link method. Linking to another page from this button does not work either. Feels like bug, right? 

 Hi everyone!My problem isn’t new to this community - I’ve read a ton of threads about ghost variables.The point is, my variables are not displayed under “Used” group, they were “created in this file”. The “detach deleted variables” plugin doesn’t work, bc apparently they are still used somewhere. I’ve checked my Variables panel, it’s clean, I’ve also checked all of my text styles for any rogue size/line height or spacing variable - they are all in place.I’m silently going crazy over here. Is there any solution, apart from detaching all the text styles and reattaching them again. Also when I’m switching these modes, nothing is happening, otherwise that would be too easy.Any help appreciated! 

After exporting a project from Figma Make to GitHub, the images are broken, cannot be opened or viewed, and are not displayed in the application. If you read their type via `file image.png`, you get ASCII text instead of png. I have an issue with my Education Plan verification and haven't received any response from the Education team, even after sending multiple emails.SheerID confirmed that I was already verified for the Figma Education offer on September 10, 2025, but my Figma account still shows an error (“verification limit exceeded”), and some of my files are locked.I have emailed education@figma.com several times over the past weeks, but I still haven’t received any reply.  Could someone from the Figma team please help look into this? It’s affecting my work, and I really need my account updated.Thank you in advance!

The UI can get over crowded with annoying frame/component names hanging off their top edges. I have not found a way to disable/hide these. Please tell me there is a way! 🙂

I'm having a persistent issue linking Figma designs in JiraI’ve tried logging out and back in, switching to a different browser, and checking my connected apps in Figma (I don’t have any). I also don’t see any option to link it. Figma is already connected in Jira, and my colleagues aren’t experiencing this issue, so it appears to be specific to my account. 

What is meant by Figma Sites CMS not being available until late 2025 actually mean? I am having to explore other CMS solutions, as a result of the CMS not being available, only after having created a pretty extensive design system for an internal site, components, blocks, and templates. Any update would be extremely helpful.

The new variables feature is great! But I’m asking you to add an ability to assign String variables to Text props of component instances. My use case I have a generic component “header” in my company’s design system that can be used with any text. I insert the instance as a part of my specific design frame for iOS. A UX Writer edits the header text. Then, I create a frame for the same screen for Android, Desktop and Mobile Web. In total, I have 4 screens with the same header. Now if the UX writer decides to change the text inside the header instance, they have to copy paste it 4 times. I’d like to solve the sync problem and the need to maintain consistency manually. I wanna make a String variable “screen-1-header” for example, and bind it with the Text property of the “header” instance. BUT as far as I see, Figma doesn’t allow it at the moment, which is sad. I canceled the subscription around November 8, well before the next renewal date. After cancellation, my account correctly switched to the Free plan, showing no active subscriptions. However, on November 19, I was charged $20 USD again — the same amount as the previous billing cycle, even though the subscription had already been canceled.
