I work at a consulting firm, so there are a lot of different projects happening at the same time, along with many completed ones. I also work on multiple projects simultaneously.Right now I'm on a team with a lot of projects, and I need to switch between them several times a day.Earlier, it was very easy to open the latest files right from the preview and quickly scan through entire projects, since each project has a unique thumbnail style. Now the same task takes me much longer and requires more clicks. I have to open the folder first and then choose the file, whereas before I could open a file directly from the preview itself. It was easy to navigate and open recent files, fast and simple.Even when I needed to find a file that wasn't visible in the preview, it was still much easier to navigate. Please bring back the preview exactly as it was, or add an option in the settings or preferences to enable folder previews.

I have uploaded my plugin and it was accepted next day. Then I unpublished it to make some tweaks and hit Publish button again. 4-5 days of waiting and my plugin still is in review status.

Hi there. Since this morning I've had a problem with font weights in Figma. When I edit the text in a layer, the weight changes on its own, but the weight shown in the right-hand panel (the specs) doesn't update to match. So the displayed weight and the actual rendered weight are out of sync.It started this morning with no changes on my end (no plugin updates, no font reinstalls that I'm aware of). Font: Red Hat Display It happens on one specific file of this project I'm on: Desktop app on WindowsHas anyone else run into this? Is it a known issue right now?

If I run a plugin that can style incoming text (from Payload, say) and that text has characters that have a tag, Figma should be able to set anything in the sup tag as superscript. Same for subscript. Seems like a screaming oversight to not allow that. I shouldn’t have to have create a type style for every style where a single character is superscripted. I’m looking at the ® character. I can’t change every typographer, but apps for DECADES have ways of dealing with this. Figma shouldn’t be an outlier. Yay for AI and all, but bread and butter, people.Sidebar: if a registered trademark character is superscripted on plain text or default styled text, when applying type styles, don’t remove that designation; keep the override. You could make it a setting “Honor super/sub script characters when changing or applying styles”. Do I dare to hope? To dream?

I use Claude on two separate Claude accounts, and both need the Figma MCP connector pointed at the same Figma account. This does not work. As soon as I authorize the Figma connector on the second Claude account, the first one is invalidated and its Figma tools stop working (“The user’s connection to this connector was invalidated”). Re-authorizing on the first account then kicks off the second. The same Figma login can be authorized in Claude Code’s own Figma plugin at the same time without conflict, so the limit seems to be one active authorization per Figma account for the Claude connector client, rather than a general one-session rule. Please allow one Figma account to hold more than one active authorization for the same MCP client, or document the limit and the intended workaround. Reproduced today on the current remote server at mcp.figma.com with two Claude accounts, one Figma account.

Description:After today's Figma update, the option to reuse recent prompts is gone from the AI image tools (Make an image / Edit image). Before the update, I could pick a previously used prompt from a list. Now I have to retype the full prompt every time I generate or edit an image.Steps to reproduce:Select an image or frame and open the AI image generation / edit image tool. Enter a prompt and generate. Open the tool again on another image.Expected: A "Recent prompts" list (or history) is available to reuse or tweak previous prompts.Actual: No prompt history. The input field is empty, and the prompt must be written from scratch.Impact: This significantly slows down iterative work. I often apply the same or slightly modified prompts to many images in a row, and retyping them each time is a major workflow regression.Request: Please restore the recent prompts history, or let me know where it was moved if it still exists.Environment: Figma desktop app, macOS

Hello. Since the latest UI3 updates, the native AI image generation and editing tool has suffered two major usability regressions that significantly slow down my workflow:Missing Prompt History: The "Recent prompts" history (the clock icon) is completely gone from the new floating toolbar. Every time I need to reuse or tweak a complex prompt on a new image, I am forced to retype everything from scratch. Missing Quick References (+): Before, while the image generation panel was open, I could simply click a "+" icon on any image or frame on the canvas to add it as a reference automatically. That option has been removed, and adding references now takes considerably more steps.Together, these changes make iterating on AI images much slower and more frustrating than before. Please restore the recent prompts history tab and the quick canvas reference tool as soon as possible. Thank you.

Hi Figma team,Our team uses Storybook to implement and document our components and pages in code. Doing this manually takes developers a lot of time: they have to rebuild every Component and Variant in code and write a story for each State. So we built our own agent that converts our Figma designs into Storybook. The results were great: it dramatically sped up our workflow, and the generated code ended up much closer to the original design. To give you a real picture, here’s what we built in our project in just one week:UI Kit: 27 component sets, 2,288 variants, 4 Sidebar components and 1 Chart instance Icons: 1,254 icon sets with 7,520 style variants, plus 259 flags and 3 standalone assets Style guide: 89 color styles and 42 typography styles Design variables: 157 across Primitives (16), Tokens (34), Colors (89) and Typography (18)For a senior developer, implementing all of this manually would have taken around 2–3 months. That experience gave me this idea: it would be amazing if an agen

Hello,I've been using Figma for a while, and I've been able to use PS5 DualSense's PS button to trigger interactions. However, I recently updated and all of a sudden, button inputs are reading the way they show up on https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad . Now I can't use the PS button (Home) as a trigger anymore. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

I design my emails in Figma and then chop them up using slices. I created a Claude skill that automatically exports Figma elements to Klaviyo, specifically these slices. Everything is working well EXCEPT - slices for some reason do not include any Figma images elements. which means no background images, no logos, product images, nothing. If i export manually it works okay.I noticed that if I export frames however, it works as intended but switching to frames is not an option for now.Figma team, please fix MCP or API so that when exporting slices via Claude MCP it includes images as well.

I have linked my prototype frames a lot of times it was for a manual pop-over in prototype but it gets disconnected again and again automatically after few days, also for some other frames as well it happens is this some bug or something else i am not able to understand I am using web version of Figma.

Your improvements to auto layout are incredible. I can’t tell you how much I love seeing the Figma team tackle these core features. There is a “final boss” of the Grid auto-layout that I’d like to suggest potentially tackling. It looks like you’re heading in this direction, so please carry on if you’ve already started :-)“repeat(auto-fit, minmax())” Responsive grid columns, equivalent to repeat(auto-fit, minmax()).Expose a minimum card/column width in the GUI, with the grid automatically reducing its column count and adding rows as the container narrows. This would make a powerful—but challenging—CSS pattern much more accessible to designers and some developers.

There’s no visible scrollbar in Figma prototyping mode. Yesterday we’re having user testings and once again this same topic popped out. Some of the users didn’t thought that they could scroll prototype because scrollbar wasn’t visible. One of the user was using laptop’s touchpad and he wasn’t able to scroll with only using touchpad. Guiding user how to use prototype during test can harm testing situations. Atleast it’s sure that if user thought that he can’t scroll it leads to biased feedback about product. If there’s some reason not to have scrollbar it could be atleast optional feature that designer could turn visible scrollbar on from options. It’s not only who has came across with this weakness in Figma. Here’s old Spectrum thread about same topic but Figma hasn’t done anything for this yet and I hope this get more attention here.

Often I’m adding autolayout around a frame/component/element, and the default vertical and horizontal padding is 10px. As well, the gap applied is 10px. It would be amazing to set the default padding and gap to auto-layout elements. This would help with keeping your files clean, but also, to ensure that redundant CSS properties are not added to dev mode output. Clearing and resetting these properties takes time and often the gap is not cleared due to the property not having an affect on single children. Thanks!

The current system for managing team members/seats and understanding file access and permissions is wildly fractured and convoluted. Currently, there is the Admin Dashboard, where I can manage seat type, but not see file access; the Team Members panel, where I can see what type of access people have (Member or Limited Access) but am NOT able to change access; and individual People/Profile pages where I can see file contributions, but this requires searching for the person using the file browser, and cannot be accessed through the aforementioned dashboard/panel (? why).Right now, finding details about seats, file access, and file contributions is three step process involving all of the above. A singular admin dashboard where you can see team members, access, seat type, and have a comprehensive view of file access/contributions for each user would make life so much easier. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out this is available and paywalled behind a more expensive license, but to me seems

Putting a design onto a tilted laptop or phone screen usually means leaving Figma: export, open Photoshop, Free Transform, export, re-import… and repeat every time the design changes. Here’s how I do it now without leaving Figma, using a plugin I built called Free Transform. What you need: a mockup photo, your design (any frame or image on the canvas), and the Free Transform plugin.Step 1: Draw the screen shapePick the Rectangle tool (R) and draw a rectangle roughly over the laptop screen. Double-click the rectangle (or press Enter) to edit its points. Drag each of the 4 corners onto the matching corner of the screen in the photo. You now have a 4-point shape that follows the screen’s perspective.Step 2: Open Free TransformKeep the shape selected, open Actions (⌘ / Ctrl + K) → Plugins & widgets → Free Transform.Step 3: Fit to Quad, then click your designIn the Transform tab, click Fit to Quad (next to Distort). The button changes to “Select a top object…”. Now click your design on the

Yet another UI update that ruins the workspace. Now a whole column width is reducing the workspace size, created to accommodate one AI agent button that I have no interest in using. You’ve moved the library and assets to a less usable place  because you couldn’t figure out how to add the AI agent somewhere else? How can I roll back this change to the version that actually worked?

I am able to create a table using the grid auto-layout option. but I’m not able to reorder the columns or rows. It would be a great feature.

Hi! I upgraded my students to an education plan, I saw that the plan comes with AI credits. But after the verification and set up,  I realised the AI agent is completely missing. Can we request for AI agent to be reinstated for Education plan?  Or is there any way to undo the conversion to get back the AI agent, or any similar plugin we can use? It’s an irony that users on free plan gets to use it while those on education doesn’t..thanks!

Previously, everything was working fine. My repository was connected, and I was able to push changes to Git without any issues. However, suddenly last week, the option to push to Git disappeared, and now the only two options I see in the dropdown are “Manage Git” and “Create Repository.”I’ve checked, and my repository is definitely still connected. I can see it in Figma, but for some reason, Figma also asked me to grant permissions to reconnect. I granted access, but the option to push to Git still hasn’t returned.I’ve already tried clearing the cache and reloading Figma, but nothing has worked.Could someone please help me resolve this? Should I completely disconnect my repository and try connecting it again? My only concern is that I’ve read you can only connect the same repository once, and I don’t want to risk losing the existing connection or creating further issues.Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, today when working on a file all the built-in shaders aren’t rendering when they still were previously (most recently yesterday). I’ve went through similar threads and troubleshooting (restarting figma, browser, desktop) but it still doesn’t work. I’d like help in resolving this issue thank you. Desktop app version 126.10.7 Browser-tested on Chrome 155, Firefox 155 (both WebGL 1&2 compliant) Not on any VPN or proxy macOS 14.8.7, Apple M1 Pro Free Figma plan

Hi all, I built this plugin for a problem I kept running into: a file’s variable bindings point to the wrong collection. For example a duplicated project still linked to the original client’s library, a library that got restructured, or a file that should stop depending on an external library.Variable Relink repoints variable and explicit mode bindings from a Source collection to a Target collection (local or from a library), across the current page or just your selection. It matches by exact name (and type for variables). Anything it can’t match safely is not guessed: you get a report split into what relinked automatically, what needs a manual pick, and what can’t be fixed from the plugin. A full Revert is one click away.Good to know: it works per page or selection (not the whole file at once), it handles bindings on layers (it does not edit styles), and it makes no network requests.Free: https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1675171359714547127/variable-relinkI’d love feedback, espe

I would like to explain our current situation once again to make sure our issue is clearly understood. Our company has an existing Figma account named ConcertCare, which was originally created using a former employee's email address. Unfortunately, that employee is no longer with our company, and their email account has been deactivated. As a result, we are unable to access the original admin account or manage important account-level settings, including billing, payments, member management, and AI credits.Due to this issue, we recently purchased a new Figma Professional account under our company name, ConcertIDC, last week. However, our main goal is still to regain administrative control of our original ConcertCare account rather than continue with a separate account. We would like to request your assistance with the following: Transfer the admin/owner access of our existing ConcertCare account to a currently active company email address. Add our current company members to the existing

Summary: After performing a Library Swap, frames with a specific variable mode ("Light") applied are rendering the incorrect mode ("Dark"), despite the UI indicating that the correct mode is selected.Steps to Reproduce:1. Open a file containing frames with variable modes applied (e.g., a "Light" mode from a specific Variable Collection).2. Use the Swap Library feature to switch the source library to a new version/library with equivalent variables and modes.3. Observe the frames that were previously set to "Light" mode.4. Attempt to toggle the mode from "Light" to "Dark" and back to "Light" via the Layer panel.Expected Behavior: Following the library swap, frames should correctly render the variables associated with the "Light" mode. If the UI says "Light," the visual output should match.Actual Behavior: The frames render as "Dark" mode visually, even though the Layer settings panel explicitly shows "Light" as the active selection. Manually toggling the modes in the settings does not fo

Im using figma make and the Copy design option is missing in one of my Figma Make files, so I cannot copy the preview as editable layers into Figma Design.I have a Full seat in a Professional team, and Copy design is available in other Make files in the same team. The affected file’s preview loads correctly. I also duplicated the file, but the option is missing in the duplicate.
