One thing our teams keep running into is Figma’s memory limit (2Gb). Does branching help with this or do the branches still also add to the primary file’s size?

Hi, they said previously that the branch is a separate file, so each would have their own 2GB limit. I see that there is other bugs filed here regarding running out of space when you try to merge in a large branch into a large file.
Someone from Figma might be able to clarify if this is still true.
Yes, each branch is its own file. However, the process of merging/updating a branch may increase memory usage.
