Higher memory usage limit would be useful when working with huge design files and with huge design system libraries imported. We are currently having issues with this specific situation.
Would love to have the ability to apply outlines and outline offsets that will not mess up my alignement. Similar to how it’s done on CSS. For example if I have a button that I want to design a focused state for I currently have no simple way to do it (I have to nest it in several layers and again the padding will remain) Moving from “stroke” to “borders” and “outlines” is a lot better in my opinion
Hi there, Is there a possibility for the monthly or quarterly invoices to have an exchanged rate pricing on the invoice as this will reflect a more realistic figure for the accountant at the time of conversion. I’ve attached an example of my Adobe Creative Invoice with a local currency exchange rate as well. The currency I need to be converted for example is South Africa’s “ZAR” Feedback on this matter will be highly appreciated. Kind regards
With the new dev-mode, a new permission has been introduced. But unlike the other permissions, this one is not manageable by the team/file owner. This is very annoying as in our company of 50+ designers and hundreds of viewers, admins can not keep the overview of each single individual user. My expectation would be to have an entry “dev-mode” in the team member permissions table:
I real like the new feature that user can select different style of cursor. But is it possible that user can design their own cursor? For a case, our team has a mascot, and we much like it can be our designer’s cursor.
I need to manage around 100 people accessing the file and I can’s see how I can search/filter users to REMOVE access to the file. Going one by one to remove access to 5-10 people take very long time. Please help
There should be a toggle-activated “wireframe view”, allowing us to select a frame, toggle it and see it as a wireframe. That would mean Figma would intelligently analise the content of the frame, changing the aspect of its objects. For example: Imagine a simple hero section from a landing page, with the logo on the top-left corner, some options on a navigation bar, an image in the background, some centralized body of text with a title and some short-to-medium text. Right below, there’s a button with a text on it. Toggling “wireframe view” using a shortcut, would allow the user to see every element I mentioned before in a simpler way. Texts could be replaced by boxes, text on buttons could disappear, leaving only the fill, images would display a placeholder image, so on and so on. This could be made using the objects as a reference and taking their properties and changing them in the back-end, switching the fill and transparency from texts to blank filled rectangles, and so on. I think
I’ve noticed that when I copy and paste a combination of ungrouped objects, they are pasted in the order that I clicked each object before pressing Ctrl+C, rather than in the order that they were. This is super frustrating - and doesn’t make any sense to me. Not sure if this is super clear so just an example: If a star was on top of a circle, but I clicked the circle and then the star (in that order) before typing Ctrl+C, when I paste, it would put the circle on top of the star, even if the objects were not in that order originally…
I often receive links to Figma files in Slack that I want to star (not pin) so I can close the tab but still reference it later. It would be helpful in the contextual menu when right-clicking a tab to have an option to “Show in Enclosing Project.”
It would be great to filter out only mentions from all notifications. I know there’s a setting to only receive notifications about mentions. But until that’s done, user gets all notifs. Would be great to filter by mention, file, project…
Creating an arrow (->, a vector line + ending). Turning it into a component → In the instance, I can’t add an arrow at the begging of the line, though the dropdown menu seems available) Please, decide wether, the lines’ ends are overridable or not 🙂
I think that Figma should add a way to code so you can do more thing. Like javascript would be a good coding language that they could add, this could make it so you can do more stuff with what you making like: adding text to a textbox, having buttons change something about the same component, or changing which way a textbox is centered. I was just saying some random example, but with code it would allow you to make way cooler prototypes. Also it would be cool for Figma to add textfeilds because you could use that with the code to make a working search box for example.
Hi Figma Is it possible to revise the UI of the Canvas Stacking option? It seems not very intuitive for it to be hidden behind the Auto Layout UI. Instead, it should be integrated into the Auto Layout option panel, given it plays such a significant role in controlling Auto Layout.
Please could we have a “warn before quitting” feature on the Figma desktop app? Since Cmd+Q closes apps on macOS I’ve found myself accidentally closing Figma one too many times recently. Chrome has this feature working and it would be nice to have it on Figma as well, thanks!Techbout – 3 Jul 17
As a user on an organization plan in Figma, my teammates and I are always having issues finding / sorting through hundreds if not thousands of internal Figma files to find what we’re looking for. We were discussing how helpful it would be if Figma had a feature, similar to Google Lense technology, where you could upload an image of the frame / component you’re looking for, and Figma could provide you with the files that match that are using that frame / component.
The hand tool is not efficient; please allow a “1” click button to be able to scroll vertically to the next frame. It was so easy and did not waste any time. It was a fabulous feature in Jamboard!!!
I’ve noticed a few requests for this, but it really surprises me that more people are not upvoting it. I cannot express enough how annoying it is for me to click on Figma links from a Jira task and then get shifted out of the current design I’m working on, only to not be able to find my way back to it. As a UX manager, I am working on 100 different design files each day, conducting design reviews, answering questions, and triaging Jira design stories. Therefore, trying to remember each file/page location is total insanity. PLEASE add a back button. Thank you.
Allow to change the appearance of a frame on hover, as well as open overlay, so basically allow to add more than one interaction on the same interaction trigger
In my day-to-day I have to approve a lot of branches. While doing that I always find myself scrolling through a list of branches (we have like 50?) and look for branches that have “In Review”. What you think of a way to filter the branches list. I create a demo video but are not able to upload it here so please have a look at my post on twitter: https://twitter.com/i/status/1775507243586245080
I would like to know the exact resolution of my images in Figma. The software should indicate the global , we need to know when the image is too big for example. Like in Indesign, we need to know these two parameters : Actual PPI / Effective PPI The actual PPI is where we see if our images has been oversized or not. And that prevents display problems. In indesign, these informations are in the links panel. Effective PPI is where we see whether or not our images have been oversized. And this helps to prevent display problems. I know this problem has already been highlighted on Can I see the resolution of images I import into Figma? But it hasn’t been addressed yet. I think this might help designers to think about it. Thank you for your attention.
Hello guys! In this picture you can see how my default work file usually looks. Within all those pages i arranged all the little thingies i later use to execute the design. I would LOVE to be able to collapse those pages intro groups, and only keep the ones i keep visiting during the design process. (Usally between Workbench, Home (or whatever), and project modules) The other pages are rarelly touched. Yet i need them there. Thank you!
We should be able to stack frames/rectangles with background blur. Currently, if a frame with less blur is stacked over one with more blur, it overrides the blur of the bottom frame.
Let’s be real, variables have been a total game changer, but there’s still something missing, right? I mean, who wouldn’t love more control over font family, size, weight, and color opacity within variables? It’s time for Figma to level up and give us that extra oomph we crave! Picture this: effortlessly switching between font families, tweaking font sizes on the fly, dialing in the perfect font weight, and oh, don’t even get me started on adjusting color opacity within variables. It’s the stuff of design dreams! Figma, we know you’ve got the power to make it happen. So why not roll out an update, starting with color opacity? Trust us, the design community will be cheering you on every step of the way. Let’s make Figma even more awesome together! 🚀✨
I’m using the REST API to get the version history of files for a particular date range. It would be helpful to be able to specify a date range to return versions for rather than have to look at the latest versions, then request the next chunk, and the next one, etc etc. It makes for a lot of unnecessary requests to the API when you’re looking at a date range that’s far in the past.
